We spent a few relaxing days at the lakehouse. So peaceful. There were deer on the property every day. The lake was fantastic and the water was warm. The house itself is situated on the side of a hill which gradually slopes down to the water. Parking is challenging, but you get used to it after a few times. Yes, it's steep, but not ridiculously steep. Definitely will return.

Love this place. So close to the water and a great boat dock. Wish we could have stayed longer. Convenient to everything you need or want. We wanted for nothing in the house. Excellent communication

The location of this property is ideal on the lake. Boat traffic was minimal and the sunrise view was beautiful.

Upon arriving we noticed the only parking space is on a steep decline that is way understated from the provided pictures. Because of that there is only room for one car. Next the steps are old and and the weeds and vines are overgrown on them causing hazards. It was raining when we arrived and when i got down to the main level I almost slipped on some slimy stuff on the deck. Once opening the door we hit with an incredible smell of mold and mildew. Very Disgusting. The downstairs bathroom sink did not work at all. The master bedroom sink was totally stopped up. The washing machine did not work. The bridge out to the dock was completely broken and dangerous so we did not get to enjoy the dock. When I used a towel I noticed the same mold and mildew smell on the "clean" towels. Again, disgusting. I called and spoke with the property owner and he told me they would definitely refund our money. We left the next day and found a suitable place to stay nearby. After we left then the property owners told us they would NOT refund any of our money despite have promised to do so. Also i tried to get VRBO involved but they were useless, saying our complaints were minor. Eventually the owners gave us a partial refund but not what we expected. The property itself has potential but is pretty much a nasty pig with lipstick. I would not recommend this property for anyone.

We were in town for a family reunion. The location was close to the reunion site. We didn’t take advantage of the dock and lake. We had a prompt response to an ac issue.
The parking was tough and the steps were a challenge. Just something to be aware of.
Overall, the house was supplied with all we needed.

Enjoyable hot tub surrounded by greenery and lake view

The place was so pretty, clean, and just everything it was advertised to be. Hot tub was in a perfect location for the weather on a rainy, cold day to enjoy the view and cover. Parking is tricky if more than one vehicle but we were told in advance. Great experience for sure! Would love to come back in the summer to really enjoy the lake and would pick this place again in a heartbeat!

Outside stairs were a challenge as was parking. Amenities could have been better. Had family visit and only had 6 glasses Towels in bathroom were horrible. Blanket on guest bedroom bed was holy and nasty. Killed 2 cockroaches and found 3 more dead. The house itself was nice but definitely lacked some extras

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The views from every room were gorgeous! It was very comfortable and peaceful. We would happily stay here again.

We had an amazing stay for an extended weekend. It was so pleasant.

Great place. The stairs can be a bit steep and the parking too.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay with my sister and brother in law and our empty nester dogs. We came down for our nieces wedding at Koury Farms in Auburn. The property is close to restaurants and grocery. The home had a perfect floor plan and some extra necessities that sometimes you forget to pack.. foil, plastic wrap and numerous seasonings.. we were pleased to have a keurig coffee pot, makes it nice for different coffee preferences. As they say, the parking is tricky, but gets better with practice. We would definitely book this property again!

This cottage has a gorgeous view of the lake. The trees and plantings make you feel very private. Loved seeing all the wildlife around the neighborhood. The house was well equipped and tastefully furnished. We really enjoyed all of the artwork. Would definitely stay here again.

I have never left a review but this warrants a mention as it was spectacularly bad. A rotten stair collapsed upon our arrival and the other entrance to the property was unstable. This matters because the property is on a steep incline so there is no other way to enter. It was dirty beyond belief: Dirty clothes lying around, rug in a heap on the floor, underwear under the bed, an ashtray full of cigarette butts, dirty sofa cushions, kitchen drain clogged with food scraps, dirty dishcloth, used coffee pod in dirty coffee machine, drain fitting missing in bathroom, used soap, with hair, in the shower, dirty blankets. One night a gas burner on the stove wouldn't turn off so we had to call the manager in to fix it. He actually told us it was likely due to a build up of food and grime. Drawers contained all sorts of things from dirty socks to drug smoking paraphernalia. The AC struggled to work and we were told not to turn it too low as it would ice up. We hadn't, it simply couldn't cope with much. At the very least it needed maintenance and mostly likely, replacing. The vents were so grimy we asked the manager to clean the one blowing air directly onto us. Dirty and rundown inside and out. We stayed because we had a number of functions over a few days and we simply didn't have time to look for an alternative. We 'cleaned as we went'. In fairness, the manager was responsive and polite but the issues shouldn't have existed and it's disappointing that VRBO don't vet properties.

Beautiful place and very cozy.

We enjoyed the Lake House! Very nice and spacious.
Quick response from owner every time we asked a question. We would come visit again!

Great location, beautiful views, close to many restaurants, stores and outdoor activities. We really enjoyed our stay and will return in the future!

Place was nice and quiet. Lots of stairs so be ready for a work out. Enough room for the four of us. Loved the artwork. Had a wonderful time enjoying the lake.

This location is perfect if you want to getaway on Lake Lanier and be within a quick driving distance to everything. It’s a nice secluded home on the lake with everything you need. The privacy is awesome, lake views are plenty, and we saw tons of wildlife around which was pretty cool. Lacy is an awesome host. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

House was great. Parking is limited as advertised and challenging loading/unloading vehicles. House was clean.

Beautiful place, spacious, clean with views of the lake from every room. We would definitely rent this place again.

We enjoyed our stay. Very nice place.

The house itsself is really nice and was clean when we arrived. Could use some updates on the furniture and linens. We reqlly enjoyed the scenary and wild life. Beautiful view of the lake. Only complaint is the parking. Property is on a very steep hill. Lots of steps(that need fixing) the parking is dangerous. Period. And limited to two vehicles. Coming and going was difficult. This is not a good property for anyone with any kind of physical limitations, children, or elderly. The listing really needs to be more clear and provide photos of just how step the walk is and parking situation.

When I booked, I immediately said people might be in and out of the property visiting because of the holiday and also, I was getting married. I planned everything around the use of this property. I was told it was ok. There were only 2 parking spots, but others could park off-road. Holy crap is that a lie!!! I had to revamp my ENTIRE WEDDING DAY pre-plans because they lied to me. The off-road parking is blocks away. The road leading to the house is a one lane narrow road that has a severe incline down. The parking spaces are on an incline where you MUST parallel park. There is gravel on the parking spaces, so tires slip. If your emergency break does not work, good luck. The parking was such a s*** show that my friend with severe anxiety issues couldn’t calm down for an entire hour upon their arrival. They freaked out and kept saying they thought they were going to die. My mom made it into the house and promptly booked another hotel stay. The handicap disclaimer was added AFTER I booked and they seemed to have other complaints. They also updated to add a picture of the parking AFTER I booked. I’m actually handicapped, but can do stairs. This was more than stairs. Even people that aren’t handicapped will have issues with the stairs and incline/steep hill. Some stairs are in poor condition, the dock has something that looks broken on it. People have been complaining in reviews about broken things at the house. The owners don’t seem motivated to fix anything because they are still broken. I booked this house because of the hot tub. That’s broken too. The water is warm, but does not get hot. The jets work, but you are just in a lukewarm tub and… The toilet paper holders kept falling off. There were roaches upstairs in the bedroom. I think a towel had blood on it. They had a blanket upstairs that had major holes and smelled musty. They also left on the attic light. My friend went up to turn it off and it appears there is a VERY LARGE snakeskin. They market this as a cozy lake house, but holy crap. It was a nightmare cabin. I asked my new husband if he wanted to leave after the wedding because it was so bad. I was ready to leave almost from the very beginning of our stay. The description looks great, but I’d advise people to book elsewhere. This isn’t worth the price. Worst stay ever. Also, BIG SAFETY ISSUES with the stairs at night. There is ZERO lighting for the stairs. My husband injured himself coming down due to that issue.

My husband and I, along with our son and daughter in law, stayed for a long weekend. It is a beautiful home with open living area and a wall of windows to enjoy the view of the lake. The master bedroom has a lovely sitting area with surrounding windows also. All bedrooms have a view of the lake. The kitchen had everything needed for meals although we just had breakfast there. . It is a very comfortable home.
It is mentioned in the description already, but there are a lot of stairs to get down to the entrance and the lake, just so those unable to do stairs may be aware. We enjoyed our stay here.

As other reviews have stated, the home is nice, with great views and lots of natural light. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely renovated. However, there could be more seating, both for around the table (had to use a barstool since there were only 4 chairs at the table and one chair had a broken spindle on the back). The most disappointing part was the parking. It was on a very steep incline, parallel, with deep stone/gravel the you had to get into off the side of a narrow road. The parking is not pictured in the listing. We were able to make it work, but it was scary parking indeed. Overall, the lack of decent parking was not worth the home and views it afforded.
4.2
We had a great time, what a beautiful spot! Close to so many things but easy to just stay and hang out for the day as well. Property owners were extremely quick to respond to an early question, not a single complaint!

Had a great time!

The house was beautiful, but the outside was a bit run down dirty . Deck was not kept up & spider webs on everything & I'm talking BIG spiders & lighting outside very poor on stairs & BQ was horrible couldn't use dirty & full of bugs. There was a few dead cockroaches in house & absolutely infested outside ( American cockroach) they could have explained better as to the parking & very tight road that dead ends especially we asked about our boats & trailers. THANK GOD a neighbor came out & offered a yard for $300. 00 we could put our trailers. So I wouldn't rent here again.
4.2
Renting process was easy. Location was great! We had a boat at Aqualand so it was easy to get to and bring to the house. We could park extra cars there. Helps when people are familiar with the lake. Kids loved the dock, jacuzzi, and kayaks. People need to be able to do stairs!! A couple of suggestions: the upper dock is unsafe and loose in the front area, could use more lighting on steps at night, clean the cobwebs inside the house, and we did have to take care of some roaches. However, the overall experience was great and our family was able to connect and enjoy the amenities and lake. It was a great way to end the summer :))
4.2
Great layout and right on the lake. Deep water cove is nice.
4.2
The property is in a wonderful location with inescapable views of the lake from almost every room in the house. The dock at the bottom of the stairs was so much fun, we spent many hours floating, swimming, and kayaking, and even rented a couple of boats from the easily accessible marinas nearby. The hosts were attentive and handled any issue that came up quickly - thank you! We highly recommend this property to relax, unwind and make wonderful memories at Lake Lanier.
4.2
Had a great week paddle boarding and boating. Great location and the dock made boating really easy. Would definitely rent this home again.
4.2
This was a last minute reservation for a last minute get away for us, the house location was easy to get to and conveniently located on the lake. overall the house was great. with a family of 5 we could have used a little more sofa seating to watch family movies etc. but for the budget and last minute, it was a great deal! the owner was very helpful and quick to respond. The marina was close and also a great recommendation. the kitchen and bathrooms appeared to be updated, which was nice. the only "recommendation" for the house would be, more "soft seating" upstairs.
4.2
Great hosts and property. The dock is awesome to have and we caught a huge catfish off of it. Perfect for a lake getaway
4.2
We had a great trip! Beautiful house and location. The hosts were quick to respond if we had a question. Beware with little ones or older visitors there are a lot of stairs you have to go up and down. Besides that our stay was great! There was so many out door adventures to do as a family!
4.2
The views are spectacular out every window. The lake is 60 steps away. The communications with the property manager were easy and quickly responded to us. The rooms are nicely appointed and bathrooms are spacious. Boating on the lake was great.
Sadly, the property needs some clean up (broken furniture, deep cobwebs) and for safety reasons (steps are rotten, kudzu growing over steps, handrail missing in sections), and issues with shared parking with neighbor. Property Mgr came to fix hot tub, but it never heated. After a very steep driveway/ not mentioned in the ad. and with over 100 steps to get in and out- the views don’t quite make up for it. It feels more like a vacant family home that needs much love before becoming a vacay rental. I wish them good luck as they were nice people.

Excellent location. Views from both floors! Awesome double dock and kayaks. Communication was great.
