It was the best price for the area. Quiet area.
Shower water could be warmer. More attention could be paid to overall cleanliness. Bedding and towels were clean

Beautiful, peaceful surroundings and lovely garden with fresh figs directly off the tree, gooseberry patch, and freshly baked bread on arrival. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. Cosy braai area and lovely mountain views.
The low door between the bedroom and bathroom created a head banging hazzard for those half asleep or not totally aware of ducking down when entering or exiting the bathroom.

Nestled away in Twee Riviere, amongst apple orchards and water canals. We felt safe and it was a little charming cottage. sort felt like we went back in a time of candles and romance.
The entrance to the property was messy and the parking just, well, there. Also, a few garden lights would be great as you follow a beautiful garden route to the cottage, at night or early morning it was tricky to navigate with luggage.

fantastic, the hosts were brilliant they delivered a lovely fresh loaf of bread .
the peacfullness

We did not stay there because (this may sound funny) the entrance to the propperty was in a delapidated state. There were old broken down cars, hanging fences and everything seemed broken down and there were no vodacom signal. Seemed unsafe and unkempt.

As we exited the R62 from EL, we were greeted by an atmosphere of peace, crisp air, and simple structures that really had no impact on the natural terrain and environment. Everything had a place and was in its own element ✨️. Kids expirerenced a first time opportunity to interact with the animals on the farm which changed their perception of how these creatures are cared and nurtured. I'm an adult ( 40+) would have loved this back when I was a kid. I admit I was chasing waterfalls.

The host and hostess were very friendly. A fresh loaf of bread was waiting for us.
The directions to find the accommodation were difficult to follow.

It's a great place to get away, switch off and just relax. Very comfy.
Be prepared no cell phone signal in cottage at all.

The stay was very quiet and the home made bread was a lovely treat.
The road to get there needs to be marked better.

Lovely, peaceful stay on a working farm. We were spoilt with a loaf of homemade, fresh bread.

Such a lovely stay, beautiful nature, plants, views, animals, freshly baked bread, cheese tasting and trying all the fruit growing on the farm. Came back for the second time just because it is so special to stay there. I can only recommend it when traveling on route 62. Just the stay is worth traveling this beautiful road!
The family makes you feel like home and if you're interested in farm living and making the most of every day's meaningful life - you found the right place!

The setting eas amazing. The bed was comfortable, and he kitchen was well equipped. No fridge facilities made it difficult to keep food fresh so its not really geared to buy and keep food that needs to be refrigerated. Otherwise everything else was great.
The shower

What a lovely little spot! Totally away from everything, quiet and beautiful! Jakes and his wife are amazing and we even had a gardening lesson in medicinal plants whilst we were there!
Lovely little town with amazing down to earth people!
2.5
It was self catering
It would have been great to have a place to dit outside and look at the view. It was very pokey at and overgrown at the braai and very uneven sitting on the pathway on the rickety chair.
1.5
Nice view of the mountain from the bedroom window.
It was nice and quiet with lots of fresh air.
We had to fiddle with the gas fridge to get it to work.
The facility was a bit too rustic for us but acceptable at the price.
Getting to the room from the car park was a little tricky - uneven surfaces etc
