Nice setting and for the price the hotel it was ok as a one night stop over
We had breakfast included but if we were to stop there again I will pass as everything was like warm !
Disappointed with the breakfast but everything else was fine

Lovely hotel however the spa facilities were not all available for the duration of our stay, very disappointing especially as we booked this hotel for rehabilitation of illness.
Staff permitted a large group of children to walk around the pool area in dirty shoes, whilst relaxing these children were distruptive and abusive to myself and other guests. So overall not a very relaxing experience.
The staff were very friendly until I had an issue, and then their attitude changed.
The rooms were clean but dated. We had a fire exit from our bedroom which lead onto the roof. On waking in the morning I saw another guest sitting by my bedroom drinking coffee and smoking.

I booked this hotel for some of our employees - who stay away regularly, the price for here was the same as a shared accommodation, so it was a no brainer for their stay. Our employees loved this, the gym facility and swimming pool was a great addition to their normal accommodation.

Poole was good room ok but for the background noise humming in the old part of the hotel upstairs - ask to move room but said was fully booked . so didint sleep that well

Queued up for 30mins at check in, only 1 poor young girl on front desk doing her best.
Eventually got to the room to discover there was no cold water. Was told they had issues with their pumps, this has been ongoing for months, why still take booking and peoples monies?
Had a scolding hot shower and went for dinner. To be fair the food was lovely, but was unable to serve any beer as the gasses had gone? Settled for a cold jug of water, even though they had no water in ANY/ALL the rooms? (There was 20 of us on a golf break).
Finally got the beers back on and was told no one could pay for anything as their tills/system had gone done.
This hotel was not fit for purpose and I will be pursuing a full refund for wasting and ruining our time away. Needs managing shake up and sackings.

Where do I start?!?!?!
My partner and her friend had beauty treatments booked which were cancelled due to the member of staff handing their notice in (before we even arrived) then it just went from bad to worse when we got there with the ongoing issue of water problems which is apparently a known problem and yet never were we made aware of this before arriving.
The hotel losses water pressure at the times when other guests are using showers, baths etc which means that you have no way of washing because there is no cold water so all you have it scolding hot and on top of that the toilets don’t even flush!
I did get away with having a wash down by the pool which still wasn’t great but a bath in our room was not possible as no cold water.
There were many other issues with the hotel but this was obviously the main one and in my opinion this hotel shouldn’t be open in its current state and certainly shouldn’t be charging £130 per night.
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful but they certainly did have their work cut out with so many people complaining.
I will definitely NOT be recommending this hotel to anyone any time soon. I would return for the day to play golf only but would never stay here again and could comfortably say that it was the worse hotel in this country that I’ve stayed in.

Clean, neat and tidy. No real 'bar' area, basically some seating in the reception area which was disappointing given such a large property. Could have a fab cocktail bar with garden access if they gave up one of the 'function' rooms.
3.9
No running water, managers hiding in the office to avoid dealing with issues. Four day stay and had issues every day. Still waiting from a response from the duty manager

Had a great time at the Manor of groves Hotel. We had a short break only 2 nights but it was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be back again soon, couldn’t find any faults whatsoever. Thanks to all the staff there too.
3.9
Hotel was tired and inn need of refurbishment. Had no WiFi in my room and no mobile signal so couldn't get on line unless I went to main reception
3.9
It was nothing like the pictures for this room type. The windows were the smallest we’ve ever had. The lighting was awful.
3.9
Twin room was lovely. Pool and gym were excellent. Nice clean and quiet rooms. Great location. Shame it was only for one night. Would return.
3.9
When we got there they waited till we had checked it before telling us there was no running water in the hotel.

Good comfortable stay
3.9
My room was terrible.
3.9
Great food, excellent fitness facilities and pool area, comfortable bed. Rooms clean, staff polite and efficient.
3.9
very clean. all in all good stay
3.9
Only a brief visit en route to the airport but room was large (room 5) and very comfortable. Would recommend
3.9
On the hottest day of the year to have no air conditioning and only a small fan makes for the price of the room seemingly overpriced.
The gym, steam and sauna area had only one shower toilet and sink in a lockable room, so if occupied there's no other option but to walk back to your room.
The food and location was lovely and the staff were friendly but a shame the facilities don't quite match that.

Grounds were brilliant.
Likes spacious swimming pool
Chair in room 4 needs replacing; looks filthy

Our check in time was delayed by 45 minutes. The grounds are lovely being a golf course. The breakfast was average. The room we had was nice but tired, definitely needs redoing! Overall a good stay

This an old hotel with a dire need of an update. It's clean with nice grounds but the hotel and spa are another story.
It's old and tired, no air conditioning, no room safe. We opted for a premium room but with the exception of a larger bed nothing else was premium. Very old furniture and small cupboard. The bathroom is big but still
The water pressure was useless so you could barely shower. The hair dryer was broken but house keeping was closed so we could not get a replacement, my wife had to go to the spa to use the one there. Even the next day it was not replaced.
Breakfast is cramped with only a small area to get your food and a limited celebration so your bumping into everyone.
The spa is ok, but again half the showers were not working properly

Very nice

Firstly this is a beautiful venue and could be a fantastic hotel BUT...
Reception, bar, 'restaurant' was more reminiscent of Holiday Inn Express. But even HIE have fully trained staff.
Trays of used plates and glasses left out on tables all evening, food arrived but no cutlery, condiments etc. Reception staff couldn't help young lad trying to run the bar who admitted he had no training.
Breakfast was mainly cold.
Noise from kitchens and restaurant disturbed us all around the building but especially in bathroom of room 302!

Stayed here with my daughter, while my husband was in nearby hospital, the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful and meals and service were great. It is set in lovely grounds. Would definitely recommend.

Great room price
Excellent all round
3.9
Good value for money, little bit tired in places but great considering the cost.
3.9
Room 19 which was classed as superior was very dated. Ridiculously large ornate bed, requiring careful movement around the room. Bathroom shower not fit for purpose, danger of scalding as difficult to adjust temperature, shower head useless.
Very disappointing considering it’s in such a beautiful location.
3.9
We enjoyed our stay at Manor of Groves. The hotel was very clean, food in the restaurant was excellent, and the grounds are beautiful.
3.9
No evening meals being served, Not very helpful staff and noisy residents in hotel, would never stay in again.
3.9
Staff were helpful and lovely. .Room was basic but for the price great value . Found some old Twix wrappers left after the clean .
3.9
If you want a party atmosphere and drinking till 2 in the morning , this is the place for you
3.9
The grounds were lovely. The rooms were a little tired, with chipped paint off the walls and cupboards. The carpets looked worn.
The staff were unhelpful and on occasion rude.
The buffet breakfast was okay, but the hot food options were never available at the same time.
3.9
Good standard of hotel at an affordable price in a great and peaceful and friendly environment.
3.9
Brilliant value and great hotel
3.9
Loved the spa.
beds are really comfy and spacious rooms.
saw a baby deer and lots of rabbits on the lawn
3.9
Last minute indulgence primarily to use the Spa we werent disappointed at the price point. Yes its a little rough around the edges and the restaurant has no ambience; but room was fine, hotel was clean, staff were attentive, food at the Brasserie bery good, at the price hard to fault anything. Would go again.
3.9
The whole hotel is lacking in investment and maintenance and almost no consideration is shown to guests and how their rooms may be affected by other hotel facilities. Very poor.
3.9
Receptionist was welcoming- golf shop was accommodating letting me practise
3.9
Excellent as always, from start to finish
