About this farm stay rental
Enjoy a piece of history, this stone house was built in 1928. One of three that were part of Rimrock Ranch Bar Lazy-R, a "dude ranch" where VIPs and movie stars would stay as they were filming westerns in the Sedona area or relaxing. In the 60’s it was Mobster getaway hiding spot. The ranch house sits on the top of the hill with panoramic 360 degree views of forestry land, local homes & farms, with scenic pinions.

We really enjoyed our stay. The beds and bedding were top notch. Plenty of pillows and blankets too. House was large and accommodated the 4 of us well. We cooked several meals in and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials. We used the outside grill and outdoor space which was nice. The property manager was very responsive and informative. We appreciated his help!
Opportunity for improvement
We experienced some insect issues and had to do some cleaning and spraying to address the problem. We totally understand there will be insects but think they could use a service on an ongoing basis to help since this is a rental property. The other area of improvement is the inside and outside could use a bit of TLC. Overall the property was good and we enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing time at the Ranch House. We arrived at the perfect time to enjoy a spectacular sunset. The outdoor grill is large with plenty of space to cook for a group. The outdoor dining table and fireplace make for the perfect setting to enjoy the mild AZ nights.
The host showed us around the ranch property and we were able to hold the baby goats and interact with the animals.
The beds and sheets are very comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed and the farm frees eggs were a real treat.
We are local to Northern Az and were entertaining guests from the UK. It was fun for all of us locals and international travelers.

We loved our stay at this property and all the needed amenities were provided. Even local eggs and ingredients for S’mores!
The host was very proactive with communications and sharing local knowledge.
The fireplace was a great way to relax and visit at the end of the day. The sunsets and views were also amazing

We wanted to see Sedona / Grand Canyon over Christmas without having to stay in Sedona, so this was perfect. Big stone house on top of a hill, incredible views on four sides. Clean house well equipped with two bedrooms, two baths, though if you have a bunch of kids there are all sorts of couches around an excellent stone fireplace.
You will be about 40 minutes from Sedona, where there is a decent Whole Foods and about a thousand restaurants most of which close at 8 pm, so plan accordingly. Don't bring eggs, the chickens and other critters down the hill provide plenty. The only issue we had was that the renovated kitchen has a convection stove top, which I am not qualified on. I was able to make pancakes. Highly recommended, a great base for hiking and exploring. Try not to arrive in the dark as the last stretch is challenging. Enjoy.
Dog friendly, the critters including chickens, ducks, goats and a cow will entertain even the most cynical teenagers (yes there is decent wi-fi). Bring binoculars, we forgot ours. We were not lucky with the night sky, but you might be. Highly recommended.

Very clean, quiet, and charming property. Host, Joe, was friendly, responsive, and informative. Although we were just traveling through on this trip, we wished we would have spent more time to enjoy. Next time we will.

My friend and I visited the Ranch House at the tail-end of our trip to the Grand Canyon South Rim and The Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams, AZ. Not only was this vacation rental a perfect stop on our way back to Phoenix it was clean, beautiful, and communication was easy! The property itself is unique and rich with history and culture. You won’t ding another one like it. I highly recommend and I will be back.

We got to ranch house and it was exciting. Our first reaction was this is great. The house is beautiful and lots to see in it. As we checked our sleeping areas we notice a lot of bedding areas.
Clearness of the home, it nneded a little more of that. We found cobwebs in certain areas of the house and a few critters to. The out side of the house would also need a little more of weeds taken out. It was not easy to reach the farm animals due to weeds. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, we lite up thefire place out in the front ar night and spend some quality time with family due to no TV in the house, trust me we looked for it LOL.

Fabulous atmosphere, including views, and proximity to some amazing hikes. The addition of some baby goats to play with made it very special.

The original portion of this residence was just incredible, all stone. The additions with bedrooms and a modern kitchen were well kept and spacious. The residence was on top of a hill and our dogs enjoyed investigating many nooks and crannies. Close to multiple attractions such as Sedona and Montezuma's Castle. The owner took time to introduce us to livestock (goats, a calf, chickens, ducks, horses, and a turkey) on the property, which was lots of fun. Loved our stay.
