Newski’s Mountaintop Lodge has a layout that beautifully accommodates groups of all sizes: single families, multiple families, couple's trips, girls' getaways, guys' weekends, multi-generational family trips, golf weekends & everything in between. It boasts an acre to explore + 4400sq ft. with 5 bedrooms on 3 levels. It sleeps up to 14. We’re also members at Rumbling Bald mountain resort with pool/golf/gym/mini golf/tennis/pickleball access only 5 mins away from the Lodge. Bonus: there are a few special areas throughout the home to keep children busy playing that make things even more enjoyable for the adults. We're parents so we know how much fun, confined spaces help everyone's enjoyment ;)

The main level great room is both spectacular & cozy. Soaring vaulted ceilings with classic stick & beam architecture, a wall of glass with breathtaking views out of every window, a giant floor-to-ceiling stacked stone wood-burning fire place, everyone’s favorite chaise lounge, awesome furniture & decor, & 65” TV equipped with YouTube TV (including ESPN+), Netflix & Disney+ over the fireplace.
The great room opens to the just-built large deck with insane views, outdoor dining table, brand-new 6-person hot tub & seating + swing under the front covered section. One step onto the deck and you’re hit with the most stunning & sweeping views. The string cafe lights are the perfect touch. It’s the favorite spot for coffee, drinks, meals & cards.
The gourmet kitchen has amazing views with a wall of windows. It’s stocked with everything you could need. Dishwasher, oven/stove, microwave, toaster, blender, pots/pans & a coffee bar (with real coffee maker, not keurig) to start your mornings off right! The Lodge also has every type of bar glassware you could want, so toast away! We even have kids' plates & utensils, so you don't need to bring a thing. The dining table is in the kitchen & the window nook is a favorite spot for all!
The master bedroom has vaulted ceilings, a king bed, oversized walk-in closet, an en-suite bath with large walk-in shower & jetted tub, TV and its own private side porch with a swing & incredible views.
One step onto the large deck will take your breath away. The view is beyond words. A hot tub, outdoor dining table, string cafe lights, grill, & covered section with seating & a porch swing add to the enjoyment.
On the top level, there are 2 bedrooms. The first has a queen bed, walk-in closet & TV and something special for kids: the “Bird’s Nest” — a ladder loft that overlooks the room. The second room has 2 double beds & a secret hideout we’ve named the “Bee Hive” in case you have kids in tow. Both rooms have amazing views. Upstairs there is also a seating area with couch & bistro table, and a bathroom with spacious shower. The Lodge has an open floor plan so the top floor has a balcony overlooking the great room & main floor foyer.
On the lower level, there is an awesome game/movie room with a shuffleboard table, large sectional, big TV, and more ridiculous views. On this floor you’ll also find a bathroom with a true cedar sauna, a bunk room with twin bunk + a double bed (again with the views), a bedroom with a queen bed, a poker room (with a 55” TV), and a flex room with a Peloton (for your use) and a full-sized, movable crib (not a pack n play, we know those babies need to zzz). Oh, and there’s a dedicated playroom stocked with toys & activities for the kids…and indirectly for the adults because it keeps the kids happy & confined.
The yard boasts ample outdoor seating just waiting for you to sit & enjoy + a fire pit with insane mountain views. And we provide the firewood!

Our 3 grown sons and their families (4 super grandkids!) joined my husband and I to celebrate a special birthday for my husband.
This property was exactly as advertised - the views are stunning, the home is spacious and Christina, the host made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the week.
I highly recommend this property for large families or multiple friends. Christina is the most responsive host I have ever worked with. All 12 of us loved our stay and would gladly return.

Luxury Mountaintop Cabin was utterly perfect for our family. The views were more beautiful than any picture can show. Every part of the house was geared to comfort and fun!

We had a 5+ star experience with this incredible home and the host. We were grandparents traveling with two of our adult children and their families. It was obvious that this is someone’s beloved second home by the high end furnishings and all of the great little touches that made the stay truly unique. Home highlights were the stunning view, the three levels giving each family space and privacy, and the outdoor amenities including a hot tub, water feature, fire ring and plenty of seating, including a kids picnic table. The host provided a very informative guest book ahead of time, so we walked in knowing what to expect. The host was very prompt in answering texts when we had questions. Having passes to the nearby Rumbling Bald Resort gave us easy access to a nice beach, pools and mini golf. We stayed 4 nights and felt like we were leaving too soon. Don’t hesitate to nail down this property if it is available to you.

What a fantastic home!! The view of the lake and mountains alone is worth it. But the house offers so much more — all the amenities and indoor and outdoor spaces to make it a perfect spot for a family or group vacation. Host is amazing too — incredibly friendly and great communication. Don’t hesitate to book this one. You won’t regret it!

My siblings and parents try to do a large, all-family trip every four years and as our family grows, it becomes more challenging finding a house to accommodate 12 of us. Five kids and seven adults. This house was perfect and gave us all space to spread out when we needed to but also gather together.
I have stayed at my fair share of vacation rentals and I have to say, hands down, this was the best-equipped house. Any kitchen utensil you could need, they had. Plenty of extra blankets and linens, board games for entertainment, scavenger hunts for the kids, a visitors guide which outlined everything perfectly was on hand.
The house was perfectly labeled so you knew what light switch controlled each room and light fixture, instructions on how to use certain appliances, and even steps were labeled if it was slightly taller than the other steps on the deck.
The owner was so incredibly responsive and helpful and was available if we needed anything throughout our stay.
This was our first time staying this part of North Carolina and having access to Rumbling Bald Resort was a priority for us. The staff at the resort were welcoming and helpful.
Lastly, the pictures don’t do the view justice. It was simply beautiful and I kept saying how incredibly it would be to visit in the fall and I would love to do a girls trip in the future!

This property was amazing. We had multiple families and kids of several different ages. The house provided enough unique gathering spaces to accommodate all of our needs. Christina was very responsive and eased any points of friction with professional instructional documents and videos.

This beautiful mountain lodge has everything you need for the perfect family getaway! Nice and spacious so everyone has their own space. Cozy fireplace, great kitchen, comfy beds, a hot tub with amazing views, plenty of outdoor spaces and lots of parking. Christina is wonderful to work with! 10 out of 10 would recommend. We will definitely be back.

This was the absolute perfect place for a fall getaway at Lake Lure. The views are incredible from the porch, from the Hot Tub, and fire pit. The house is clean with great amenities. Our 4 year old loved the kids play room. The beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked! We would absolutely stay here again!

The house was perfect for an extended family get-together with young and not-so-young adults. The house is large and immaculate, and the view out the great room and from the deck is breathtaking.
Also the included passes for Rumbling Bald provide access to a whole host of fun activities for us - pickle ball, pool, goofy golf, kayak and pontoon boat rental.

Very clean! Twelve of us had an amazing time here. The views were stunning and there were lots of family activities available in the home. The shuffle board table and the poker room were family favorites. Only things missing were extra towels for the hot tub/sauna and a large pot for corn and pasta. We will definitely be back!

Even better than the images and description that lead us to book it! Easy access, plenty of parking to accommodate our needs. The home is spacious and well organized. We were 4 different family units, 14 people in all, that prepared 3 meals a day with ease. Lots of space to be all together and plenty of rooms for privacy. The kids playroom was a huge hit! The hot tub, dry sauna and fire pit gave the adults lots of relaxation time. The local amenities are convenient, and plentiful. We used the guest passes to the Lodge daily. Pools, lazy River, the beach, outside games area were everything we could want. In addition we hiked Chimney Rock, mined for precious minerals in the Village, shopped, wandered, took millions of pics, waded in boulder strewn streams, it was idyllic! My personal favorites were the views of the scenery at sunrise and sunset across the forests and mountains. Picture perfect! The homeowners were incredibly supportive and available to respond to questions and provide suggestions that enhanced our experience even more. We fell in love with Newski’s Mountaintop Lodge and can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I met several of his college friends who flew in from Iowa for the weekend
The home is well stocked and very cozy and the layout is great for a group
The living room has a spectacular view of the lake and given the weather was rainy and cold, we took advantage of the lovely fireplace, amazing view and entertained ourselves with some wine and board games
Downstairs- the guys enjoyed the game/card room
We had a very enjoyable visit and I highly recommend the home!
Also the back yard had an area where we used our corn hole boards the first evening when we had nice weather.
The hot tub was also a hit and the view is great from there as well
The owner was excellent to work with and made sure we had everything we needed

Me and my family of 13 stayed at this property during NYE weekend. The property was absolutely amazing. The house was spacious, clean and came with amazing view! None of us wanted to leave when the trip came to an end. Christine was an amazing host, she was very responsive and was super helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay. We will definitely be coming back in the future to enjoy the views!

We were fortunate enough to rent this home during Thanksgiving during our own home renovations.
We've stayed in a number of VRBOs over the years and this one wins. The communication leading into arrival - amazing. The home itself was clean, clearly labeled (reducing questions) and, I'll tell you now - the pictures of the view don't do justice to what it really looks like and how quiet it is. It is such a peaceful place.
The hot tub and sauna are tremendous perks - but the ability to be in awe....well, you don't get a better view.
Access to local sites are exactly as the owner lists. The drive to Ingles grocery is maybe 15 minutes - Rumblng Bald (and the golf course) is quite close. Want to go to Chimney Rock - probably 20-25 minutes.
The hospitality shown was exceptional.
