This was our second stay at Villa la Isla, Oak Harbor and we absolutely loved it the second time as well. The property is perfectly located for stunning sunset views, and the house itself is beautiful both inside and out. The cozy bedrooms and spacious kitchen, equipped with all the necessary pots and pans, made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We even did some baking in the double oven wall unit. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

We had a great stay in Oak Harbor and really enjoyed the water views and lovely back deck. Rooms were nice and location was stunning. The only drawback is that the kitchen is only equipped with very basic inventory, so would recommend bringing what you need if you plan to cook.

We loved our stay at villa La isla. The home is very large with beautiful views. It was quiet and perfect for our large family, including kids. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch every night watching the sunset. Would definitely stay here again!

Booked for the location and beauty of the home—peaceful and quiet with a stunning view. Great shared spaces with lovely furnishings. As many have mentioned, a number of the windows need some TLC and there are a few other small improvements that would make the home even better—some sort of clothing storage in the main bedroom, hooks by the main side door and more outdoor furniture. An ice maker in the freezer would be amazing!
Be prepared to wake up with the sun as the window coverings (particularly in the main bedroom) do not keep the room
dark.
Overall, lovely place. Dining table was a great place to do a puzzle. Spent most of our time on the deck as the view is spectacular.

Big, gorgeous house with a great view over the water. Central location on the island so easy to get places, and a nice little beach within walking distance. Road and naval air base nearby but noise was not a problem. Communication regarding the booking was good.

Beautiful oceanfront house with most amazing views. We loved the space and high end furnishings. Very close to Oak Harbor and Coupeville restaurants. We will definitely be coming back again!

I have to say that after reading the recent reviews I was a bit skeptical about having rented this home. Big surprise! I’m sure glad I did.
This modern house is beautiful, spacious and in a gorgeous, quiet setting. It sits right along the ocean with a large deck to watch the water traffic, and wildlife. Beach access is about half a mile down the road; an easy walk. We had eagles flying over everyday. There is a pair of binoculars for wildlife viewing, along with books for cooking/entertainment.
The rooms were large, airy and had plenty of seating to be together or room to spread out. The living room has comfy furniture plus a large tv and coffee tables. The bedrooms were nice sized, the master was huge (no accessible closet, but there was a luggage rack), the bathrooms were a dream. All showers worked fine; we never lacked for hot water and the laundry was spacious and well lit. The kitchen is a cooks delight. Tons of cabinet and counter space for numerous people at the same time; perfect for entertaining. The dining room seated 8 people comfortably (we did have to tighten a few screws in a couple of wobbly chairs). It has a large wall of windows, complete with shades, to the living room with a set of double doors to the deck.
Many of the previous reviews mentioned things that were lacking at this home: Info book, cooking supplies, spices, etc, but management has fulfilled all those requests. There were plenty of knives, pots/pans, bakeware, a large crockpot, blender, and even aluminum foil, etc. Each sink had a small bar of soap, a bottle of liquid soap, plus hair products, dishwashing soap in the kitchen plus a few dishwasher pods. Plenty to get you started. We stayed 12 days and most supplies lasted throughout that time. We did bring extra TP, dishwasher and washing machine pods (all septic safe). We cooked at least one meal a day and found the kitchen to be adequate for 6 adults and more. The beds and sheets were comfy.
There were unlocked closets with extra bedding, hangers, plus lots of shelves in the bathrooms upstairs, (making not having a dresser easier), and large floor fans in every bedroom or closet, along with extra bedding.
A word of caution: because you are right above the beach it does get windy and that creates sand storms across the property causing sand to accumulate on the window/door sills outside making them harder to open. A gentle tug from outside while opening helps. Don't leave them open, or you’ll have a mess. The entrance to the driveway has a few mailboxes and gets confusing. There are two driveways, R&L. I suggest using the left driveway, giving access to the kitchen, also where you will find the lockbox (not on the doorknob, but by looking around). I suggest getting there in daylight to make things easier for yourself. There is plenty of parking space near the garage doors (also where the trash receptacle is) by taking the right lane.
We had a fantastic time here and would come again.

Nice and big but not run very well. Hot tub hasn’t been running in months.

Beautiful view coupled with Pacific winds, gave us a much needed and comforting staycation at Oak Harbour. Would definitely recommend 🙂

We had a great time with only some minor gripes to report. If you plan on cooking your own meals, the kitchen is missing tongs, though the cooking utensils they do provide are honestly pretty nice. The pans are also very beat up, so food stuck to them while cooking and made it hard to clean. We also had one morning without hot water, but it came back on its own so not sure what happened.
The house is beautiful and extremely well cleaned though, and the kitchen is huge enough for many meals. Enjoy the great views over the water through the picture window in the dining room!

Big house with an amazing view. Location is really great if you want to feel off the grid, but close enough to get what you need. Very quiet and peaceful.

Our group highly enjoyed our stay here. The inside of the house is cozy and spacious. We had an issue with the upstairs bathroom during our stay but the rental company responded quickly and it didn’t damper our stay. The house is located nicely for exploring either end of the island, but the view this home offers is just amazing. The only reason for the 4 stars is the outside grounds are not tended to. The walkways and driveway are over grown and littered with pine needles, dirt and overgrown plants. The yard is pretty much the same. There are two driveways to this house, you want the one to the left when pulling in, and the key box isn’t on the door but elsewhere which is not communicated. Even with those quirks we would definitely stay here again. The rental company has taken note of previous reviews and added more pots and pans and such so they are listening and wanting to make this an overall great stay experience.

Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful, great location, very clean, spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful house, great location and views. To make it AMAZING suggest: 1) add additional pans to cook with 2) needs a 4 slice toaster 3) water heater for all but master bedroom seemed to be turned down - showers got "cool" 4) upgrade coffee maker - takes 30 minutes plus to brew 5) add ice maker or more ice trays 6) dishes were dirty - had to hand wash before use 7) provide more dishwasher pods-ran out 8) no closet space/dressers 9) add chairs for deck (only 2??) 10) consider electric grill for deck 11) no adult games or deck of cards even 12) queen beds in back room portrayed as on floor on web site, but bunks, not conducive for adults 13) right window in day room (top left of stairs) right hinge broke - air comes in 14) needs a blender or mixer 15) lights out in refrigerator 16) one bar stool only had 2 screws in seat - one fell out during stay while someone sitting on it (need to check all and tighten) 17) furnace blower started to run but changing thermostats had no effect - was not cold enough to run furnace or warm enough for AC
Overall this was a great place, sharing these items as they are issues to be addressed or to make this place amazing. Thanks!

Very nice property with excellent large kitchen, dining room and living areas. Master bed mattress was fine; other mattresses much too firm. Master bedroom barely furnished (one chair and two small tables). Only two deck chairs in a house that sleeps 8-10 people. Can't get regular NBC channels on cable; fortunately wi-fi is decent and we could watch our favorite morning show on iPads. Close to Hastie Lake Beach Park which is our favorite on Whidbey.

The home is very comfortable, spacious and very well stocked. Lots of essentials were provided (coffee filters, paper towels, dish and dishwasher soap, basic spices, travel size toiletries, etc).
The only thing I would recommend is more outdoor seating/table to enjoy the beautiful view. There are only two chairs on the deck and no table.
We had no small children with us, but I would be hesitant to stay there if I did. There is no fence at the back of the property, and the yard ends at a very high bluff over the water.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful, clean house. The layout was so comfortable for three families, each having a private bathroom—a big plus. Thanks to the owners for offering such a great property. We hated to leave. The huge kitchen was well-equipped for our terrific sunset dinners. It’s a wonderful house where we’d love to return.

This is a beautiful quiet home with a stunning view across the water to Vancouver Island and the Olympic Peninsula. Three couple with a couple kids can comfortably stay here. I can’t speak to the upstairs beds but the downstairs bed was too firm for us. If you like firm/hard you’ll be pleased. Oak Harbor and Coupeville are only 10 minutes away and there’s tons of things to do on the island. The kitchen and family room are well equipped and comfortable. It had a double oven though the lower oven wasn’t working. If you like to entertain on the deck bring a couple extra folding chairs as there were only two. We didn’t use the hot tub so I can’t critique that. A couple small niggles that might detract for some was none of the three fireplaces were functioning during our stay. Also the downstairs bathroom (shared with the adjoining bedroom and family room), the family room door wouldn’t latch closed. It appeared to not be a new problem as the top door pin was nearly pulled out. All in all none of that detracted from our stay; we would definitely stay there again. I would say for for a Summer stay it’s a 4.5; If the fireplaces aren’t working in late Fall/Winter/early Spring then a 3.5.

I had an amazing stay at this house on the ocean cliff. The views of the ocean were breathtaking, especially at sunset. The house was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The beds were cozy, and kitchen had all the things needed to cook a nice meal. This was the perfect getaway for me and my family, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious house. There were 4 kids and 4 adults and we never felt cramped. The kitchen was great to cook in. The views were amazing and the wildlife was fun. The location was close to so much. It would be nice to have access to closets or a dresser of some kind. You have to live out of your suitcase for the time there. Also, the mattresses are very firm, not horrible but something to be aware of. There is not any A/C and we were there on sunny days the first week of June and the upstairs gets very warm. Not sure what it will feel like later in the summer. A strong breeze would come up in the evening but the windows need some care and the strong winds sometimes blow them shut. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Our family was visiting our son who is stationed at the Naval Air Station in Oak Harbor. The location was great for us as we were only 10 minutes away from him. The house was well kept up and large enough for our family. Great views! We even saw a whale from the deck one morning.

Overall for what we were hoping for it was great. Unfortunately there were water issues in the master bathroom. Property Manger was very good about communicating with me about it. The kitchen could hv been better equipped not much for meal prep. Baking sheets casserole dishes Utensils mixing bowls. Also could hv enjoyed a house book, guest book and outside seating.

This is a great location. The House was clean and in excellent condition. Tons of open space and natural light. It has a fabulous kitchen but it scarcely stocked. It needs some with more cooking utensils to prepare meals. Measuring cups, platters, glasses, serving utensils, are a few of the examples of things that would have made the kitchen easy to use. Also, some more instructions to use some of the awesome amenities would have been helpful. We were looking for some sort instructions book for things like trash instructions, etc.
Overall this is an excellent property and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. All the above is offered in the spirit of making a great property even better.

We arrived after dark and rain, entry instructions from Vacasa in hand. The key lock would not open. Tried calling them, received no response. Sent an email they responded to the next morning... pretty late for people who are locked out in the dark and rain. We ultimately found two (!) unlocked doors on the other side of the house. Not safe or secure but we got in. Vacasa texted us the correct code for the key box the following morning. Lame.
We would have had to find other lodging if some fool didn't leave other doors unlocked.

We stayed at this beautiful property for a long relaxing weekend with the family and our dog. We loved it! Its a two hour drive from redmond which makes it ideal for a quick weekend stay. The living room and dining room have these picturesque windows that look right out to the ocean. You can see the mountains and the islands on a clear day. The house is west facing and during our visit, the skies were clear so the sunset was just spectacular.
They have a yard and the kids and dog loved playing there and running about. We could keep an eye on them from the patio. The beach was close by and we were able to go for a very pleasant walk with our dog.
My kids loved the bunk beds in the kids room which were very comfortable but the crown jewel of the house is the master bedroom. There is a small balcony off it and they even have windows for the dog to look out of at the floor level... our dog loved it. He barked at any and very bird he saw flying!
Finally the fact that the house is close to the city center, it was easy access to restaurants and city viewing.
I am definitely coming back often and thinking of bringing my parents here for their next visit.

A nice house in a beautiful location. No apparent ready access to the beach or hiking trails, however. A map of of nearby hiking trails- at the home- and a listing of local restaurants, etc. would have been helpful.

WOW ..JUST WOW! If you looking for a getaway with breathtaking views of ocean then this is the place. The beautifully decorated villa is just 1.5 hours away from Bothell/Kirkland and can accommodate up to 8 guests and has spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The dining area & living rooms face the ocean and we immensely enjoyed having breakfast/lunch everyday while gazing at the ocean through those extra large windows. The master bedroom has a deck facing ocean, a perfect place to have evening drink or unwind from the day. The kitchen comes with a xl island and is equipped with all modern appliances which is helpful in prepping all kind of meals. There is a cute reading corner on the upper-level with an ocean view window if you love to read or play board games. The property has huge backyard for kids to play but there is no direct access to the beach as the villa is on the cliff, but beach is accessible within walking distance. Walmart & Safeway are within close proximity if you looking for a quick grocery run during your stay. Highly recommend this gorgeous, warm, quiet, inviting and comfortable property and we will most definitely be back soon.
