The family is very kind and helpful. Room had a view of the Dolomiti. Love the location within walking distance of town and gondolas. I would come back in a second!

A family hotel run by the same family for centuries. Highly recommended for the friendliness of everyone, cleanliness and Tyrolean atmosphere. Thank you for making our stay more comfortable.

We asked to change our room so it would face the garden, not the street. It was no problem.Good service .

Nice family run hotel very close to town, but far enough away so it feels less busy. I recommend trying to get a room NOT on the road side as the traffic can be loud if you have the windows open (no AC). The road quiets down after sunset. Awesome walking trail behind hotel with 15 min access to town. Nice lawn area to relax behind the property. Wish spa access was included for free, it was at other Italian hotels. Breakfast was pretty good, but less fresh fruit than we expected. Disappointed that there was no mini fridge in room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish we could have tried the restaurant for dinner, it looks good. Very clean and lots of historical items decorating walls. Electric car charging being installed as of 7/2024, check to see when it's online. I would recommend this hotel.

We would like to give all the staff at this place a huge round of applause. This is truly a special place that we would recommend to any and everyone who was planning a trip to Cortina. This place has authentic charm, while giving you modern amenities. The staff is friendly, helpful and go above and beyond. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with outdoor space. Restaurant and food fantastic. Five stars. Looking forward to coming back to Cortina and staying here again. Thank you for making our first trip to this place wonderful!

Overall an okay hotel. A bit noisy - people in the room above ours got up at 5:30 am and could easily be heard. Spa was not available. Breakfast was fine.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely family run hotel. The staff were great, perfect location and stunning views of the mountains.
Me and my husband highly recommend it.

Stayed here for two days in September 2019. Ample parking outside and around the back of the hotel. Downstairs had a restaurant and bar (didn't try as ate in the town) but looked very, very nice. Quiet area of the town, about fifteen minutes walk from the centre. At the back of the hotel is a large sun garden and lawn.
Rooms are a little old fashioned but had no issues with anything and really enjoyed our stay. It's a great area to visit.

We stayed here for three nights in the summer using hotel as a base for hiking WWI sites in the Dolomites. First of all, the hotel deserves credit for offering three nights. Many other hotels in Cortina seemed stuck in the past with minimum seven nights stay and Saturday to Saturday. Secondly, we really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. It's an easy, if long walk, to the centre of town, and it's quite steep coming back especially on the main road.
We stayed in an economy double in the main older building. The room was small, but clean and at the back, we heard no traffic noise. The bathroom needs some serious refurbishment: only a hand-held shower, which makes showering tricky, and just floods the bathroom.
Our biggest issue was the breakfast buffet. Yes, it's quite extensive, but there is separate extra charge (EUR4) for a simple orange juice, not even freshly squeezed. I have never experienced this anywhere before, and it seemed unnecessary penny-pinching.
We only ate one night in the hotel when we were too tired to go out, and it was disappointing. Better options are available in town, and even a few hundred meters up the hill away from town (Ristorante El Zoco).

Extremely helpful staff that was really nice and gave great food and activity recommendations. Hotel rooms are a little outdated and could use a renovation but we're still fine for the price.

Nice hotel, nice town, but high city tax (we paid 6€/night).

The hotel is quaint. It is not in the town centre, but we walked in to town easily on a beautiful path from the hotel (15 min or so)The lobby and our room could use a refresh. The carpet and bathroom looked like they were from the 60’s. Yet, it was unique to the Italian/Austrian style-similar to a chalet in the mountains. Our room and the bathroom was very small and it only had a tub with a hand held shower head. However, the staff, property and food (both dinner and breakfast) at the restaurant was spectacular! These are what made our stay really enjoyable.

The family that owns this hotel is WONDERFUL.... kind, friendly and genuinely cares about your stay. The staff went out of their way, just like the hotel staff of "days past"...I considered extending my stay and cancelling my flight back to the US. For the price this hotel deserves many accolades. If you can, include 1/2 or full board into your reservation as the food is excellent and well worth with.

Request a room on the back of the hotel--amazing view to the north and get away from the street noise.

We only stayed for one night because it was on the way at a descent price. The main problem were minor one. 1) The curtain doesnt stop the light 2) An old type flushing system the doesnt always work correctly (maybe it was just our room). Except for that, hotel staff really nice and at last a good breakfast. Overall a good hotel for its price

Seasonal issues should be considered. This was a very quiet time in Cortina with not much open. Hotel restaurant was not operating except for breakfast, which was a bit below European standards.
2.0 / 10.0
The Cortina area has some fantatsic scenary and walks. There doesn't appear to be anything other than local cuisine which is surprising for such an internationally well known place. Expensive shops in town.
