About this house rental

"Beaver Street Retreat"

Comfortable and Bright Kings Beach 3 Bedroom Home Built for Families!

• MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: EIGHT (8) PERSONS TOTAL (regardless of age)

• PET POLICY: No Pets Permitted

• NO AIR CONDITIONING: Like 99% of homes here in Lake Tahoe, this property DOES NOT have air conditioning, but fans will be provided when needed.

• PARKING: Limited to THREE (3) compact vehicles but there may be fewer spaces when snow conditions exist. No street parking is permitted.

Modern house with lake views and a flowing and bright interior layout, with wide staircase, and vaulted ceilings. The Beaver Street Retreat sleeps up to 8 guests including the sleeper in the living room and has plenty of dining space including the main dining area, breakfast bar and in the warmer months, the patio table on the back deck. The spacious kitchen features granite countertops, electric glass cooktop built into breakfast bar, custom cabinets stocked with a plethora of cookware, dishwasher and new trash compactor. The open living area has a huge stone mantel with gas fireplace, plush carpeting, comfy couches and a large TV to watch cable, stream your favorite network or pick a movie to enjoy on the Blu-ray player. There's also a powder room conveniently located just off the living space.

All three bedrooms in this home are on the lower level and stay a little cooler during those hot summer nights, which is great to know because almost no homes at the lake offer air conditioning. The first bedroom you come to has a Queen bed, overlooks the backyard and access to a full bathroom. You can enter this bathroom through the lower hallway as well as the connected bedroom.
The hallway houses the laundry area complete with detergent, hanging rack, and ironing tools.

The primary suite has a Cal King Bed and television with Streaming capabilities and Blu-ray player. It is quite large and has a walk-in closet, on-suite bathroom with double vanity sinks and an oversized tiled shower, plus access to the third bedroom.

The third bedroom is located at the back of the house and contains two twin beds. There are windows on two walls to oversee backyard activities or a door just outside to join them.

Keep your vehicle out of the elements and store your gear in the detached 2-car garage accessible by an elevated walkway.

This family home is in a hilltop neighborhood on the north side of beautiful Lake Tahoe in the vibrant town of Kings Beach. Residential street leads to adventure in either direction with hiking and snowshoeing trailheads and in the other direction, downtown's shops and restaurants plus the largest sandy beach on Tahoe's North Shore.

The house was the perfect setup for our family. The upstairs floor is a bit squeaky, but it wouldn’t stop us from staying there again. The downstairs stays cool in the summer, and the upstairs cools down if you open the windows in the early evening. It had everything we needed and was a great location. Beautiful view of the lake. The garage is very spacious so it gave us plenty of room to park our big truck and have our kayaks and SUP boards.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is in a good location. Could have been cleaner. The fireplace was not working, the master bedroom shower didn’t drain so water up to the ledge of shower. We were told after arrival that we could not use the outdoor grill, after complaining that it was filthy. Tahoe North rentals employees are sarcastic and rude. Was told my concerns were not that important and that I could leave if I wanted to. They had no one to fix any problems available. Was told to scrub the grill and use skewers to remove grease by one employee and not to use it at all by another. Also told to plunge shower. Didn’t realize I would have to be the handyman.

Location is perfect, bedrooms have separate bathrooms, full poker set, price is right, and the garage is tall enough to fit the SUV with roof rack. This was our second stay here and we'll be back.

Very nice place with a good view of Lake Tahoe. It was well stocked with the basics. Sitting on the deck with the lake view and various birds and other critters was great. We had a problem getting the tv and Wi-Fi to work when we first got there. I called and left a message with the property management company. Everything started working later in the evening. The management company called back first thing in the morning and said that there had been an outage on the north side of the lake. We had only two issues. First was the lock box in the garage is difficult to get to work right. The second issue which was kind of a problem if you are a light sleeper is that if you’re downstairs trying to sleep and there’s someone upstairs the floor creaks with every step. There was a little road noise if you’re on the deck or inside with the windows open. Considering the layout of the neighborhood and there’s only one way in or out of town it wasn’t a big deal.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall good experience. I did not receive the email with the house entry directions and had to call the morning of then again after the check-in time to get the entry information. When I got to the house late in the evening, the lights, tv and fireplace were on. At first I thought maybe someone was in the house. The fireplace had heated the upstairs and it felt like a sauna in July with no AC. The house was clean and had all the necessary supplies.

We enjoyed our stay very much, great location down the street from Kings Beach, and 15 min to Tahoe City and 10 minutes to Incline. Felt very central to where we wanted to be. Street was very quiet, house was clean - overall it was a great stay! Just a warning, we had our toddler with us, and if people are upstairs while the kiddos are sleeping downstairs, the noise can be a little loud. Didn't affect us though. The property manager was easy to get ahold of when we needed them, which we appreciated.
