The living areas in the property consist of a kitchen/diner equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dining seating for four guests, a sitting room with Smart TV and a gas fire. The bedrooms consist of a king-size and a twin, along with a bathroom. Outside there is an enclosed rear garden with patio, gravelled area and furniture, as well as off-road parking for two cars. Within 0.3 miles you will find a shop, within 0.6 miles a pub and within 0.5 miles, a beach and please note that this is a non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Mead Cottage is a delightful base for families or groups of friends to enjoy a peaceful getaway to Dorset. Note: This property does not accept children under the age of 12 years. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out at 10am.

Town: West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway to the Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, crabbing, boating and golf. Visit the homes of Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence, the Tank Museum at Bovington or the Naval air Museum at Yeovil. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family! Just a short drive West takes you to Charmouth for fossil hunting, to the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, and to River Cottage HQ near Axminster. To the East are the lovely Sub-tropical Gardens and Swannery at Abbotsbury, and the golden sands of Weymouth. This wonderful location makes an ideal base for a great family holiday.
