Simple but nice room in a wonderful old building. Clean and quiet. Great included breakfast, very friendly staff.
Only a small inside window, but it didn't really bother me. Sometimes a slight musty smell due to moisture.

We booked a ''balcony with city views'' room with 2 double beds, but were given a small windowless room with 2 single beds. When we brought this to the hotel's attention and showed them the booking.com reservation they said that's not what they could see on their end. Eventually they moved us to a bigger room with a window, but seemed annoyed about it.
This room had a motion sensor light near the bathroom that could not be deactivated, and would turn on in the night anytime the person in the bed closer to the bathroom rolled over. Beds were like rocks.

Location , value and staff
Nothing I didn’t like

This hotel sits in a refurbished historical
Building. The property is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and extremely clean and the best part are the staff. They are not only very courteous and friendly but they will go above and beyond to make of your stay an unforgettable one and to try to accommodate your every need

Its and old colonial house with a great location and the staff are very attentive. The breakfast is simple but really good, they have coffee and tea available all day, it has good Wifi connection, and the rooms are good for the price.
I had two rooms due to some technical issues with my reservation, and in the first one I had zero water pressure and some warmish water. The second one had great water pressure and no hot water.

I only stayed here for one night and the hotel met my needs, it was comfortable with great wifi, the staff were super friendly and the breakfast was good.
The hotel was a very short walk form the square and tram to the airport which was a great bonus!
TIP: Make sure you get he tram which is only a dollar and 3 min walk to the hotel :)
The room was very dark as all of the windows faced inwards. I had one window but people couold see directly in when walking past so I kept the curtain closed

Good breakfast and attentive personnel working there. Always polite and courteous.
Everything was fantastic.

Breakfast was tasty, made fresh for each guest. I think the coffee is instant but surprisingly good, not always real hot. The hotel has charming architecture and decor. It fits the location in the historic El Centro District which is fabulous. Most rooms open to the inner court yard so morning sounds can be heard. I upgraded to a street side room and stayed a week. This afforded me an outside balcony door and street noises which I welcomed. Staff was always kind and welcoming. I will be back!
Bathroom was kind of dark. Hot, brewed local coffee would be welcome. Did not appreciate random TV shows or movies on for breakfast. Maybe soft music videos would be a better choice.

The service was excellent! The staff was committed to make you feel great while you enjoyed your stay. Location, location, location! Walking distance from cuenca’s downtown. Overall, highly recommended!
2.5
Very friendly staff.
Booking.com rates this hotel as exceptional and 10 out of 10 rating. This was the main reason why I booked it in the first place. The photos are misleading because the hotel in real life is not as shown on the photos. We booked two rooms with double beds. One of them seemed to be fine and all in working order, but the other room didn't meet the same standards: loose curtain frames, very old balcony doors which failed to keep the noise and even the fumes of the vehicles out; the ventilation fan in the bathroom kept falling off with filthy dust; the electric plugs by the bedside table were not working. All in all, it was a room that was NOT ready to be let out. This is the reason why I'd like to claim to Booking.com my money back for this room.

The staff was incredible. They were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was nice and there is free coffee/tea/water refills. The inner dining courtyard is lovely and the hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the main square and Cathedral. We extended our stay from 2 to 4 nights because the value for money is excellent compared to some other hotels in Cuenca. Cuenca itself is a beautiful city and well worth exploring.
