We were a party of 16, 11 adults and 5 children aged 2-11 and the houses, location and cleanliness were superb. Thomas you as there to make sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed the wine tour and tasting! We were lucky enough to be around for the breathtaking fireworks on Bastille day too which was a bonus! I would totally recommend Domaine de Cantalauze and hope to return one day….

Had a wonderful 2 weeks from 10-24 August with all our family, 8 adults and 9 children ranging from 11 years to 2 months. Houses were clean and spacious with comfy beds. Spent most of the time in the pool which kids adored. Thomas was always very helpful and gave us a tour of his wine estate which was very interesting and included wine tasting too. The surrounding area is beautiful, we walked and cycled to Carcassonne along the Canal du Midi and drove to Narbonne and Lagrasse to visit the Abbey de Fontfroide. There are so many interesting places to visit in the area . We have many fond memories of our time spent here and wouldn’t hesitate to return again. Thank you Thomas.

Group of mostly old-timers with a few youngish family members had a smashing time at Domaine de Cantalauze. Everything was basically great: Thomas is a terrific host and gave up an evening to take us through his wine making business. He also allowed us to project the Europa Final on the screen in his wine-tasting room - so we avoided the need to crowd round a tiny laptop screen 😁👍 We walked to Trebes for meals - 25 min via the canal - and to buy groceries (supermarket is 10min drive). Also hired bikes and cycled the other way alongside the canal to Carcassonne. Then we headed for a day on the beach near Narbonne - a 90minute drive. We found the pool and games room added to our fun. Accommodation is spacious, with a lovely rustic feel. An hour and a quarter’s easy drive from Toulouse airport. All in all I would highly recommend this venue for a gathering of old-mates.

Thomas was a great host and ensured we had all we could want for including his own estate wine that went down a treat. Amenities were all excellent we just needed a little more sun shine! Very happy holiday!

11 very discerning friends who for many years have holidayed altogether for one week a year. Our wants are simple - quality, comfort, en suite facilities in an interesting location. This had it all. Throw into the mix, one very accommodating, friendly and extremely knowledgable owner where nothing is too much trouble. You will not be disappointed and would highly recommend.

Finding a large property in the Southern part of France with the right type of facilities in the right type of location can be tricky. But this was a find. We were a family group ranging in age from 18 months to over 60 with representatives from most decades so it was a big ask to keep everyone happy. 2 good properties, well equipped (3 fridges no less! and further wine fridges) with sufficient bathrooms, generous sized rooms, a selection of outside eating areas with plenty of chairs, lounging and upright, and with 2 pools ticked all the boxes. And we weren't disappointed. A highly recommended property. I would absolutely recommend taking bikes or hiring them for some of the time. The property was located 15 minutes from the Canal du Midi by foot, and by bike only about 5 minutes and the daily ride into Trebes to collect vast quantities of croissants and baguettes and other fancies from the very nice boulangerie before breakfast was a joy. Also in Trebes (walking distance) there is a most helpful tourist office supplying local maps and all the usual literature; a selection of restaurants by the Canal, a proper market on Sunday and a selection of supermarkets. The biggest nearby was in Carcassonne and on our side of the town so very easy to reach. All a requirement when you are so many people. Cantalauze is also close to the old cite of Carcassonne, being great for a visit in the early morning or evening, a bit busy in high season at other times, with plenty of nice restaurants, many of them child friendly. The property is close to a water park, rafting excursions, gorges, castles - a bit further to the sea - but everything doable in a day. And of course Thomas was very happy to inform us about his vineyard and his plans for further wine production, as well as supplying wine to sell. What you may not know is that this region can be windy. But this is a warm wind which keeps the blistering heat at bay and makes the temperature very pleasant. Some of us finished our trip to this region with a 2 night stay in Collioure, a seaside town which was also excellent - we always try and avoid travelling on a Saturday!

These houses are just amazing. A truly gorgeous place . Homes are so unique and gorgeous, rooms are spotless, beautiful and showers & kitchens were fantastic. The pool area is magnificent and we spent most of our evenings at the BBQ in the pool house. This is a magical spot and the houses are just fantastic. Thomas Sananes the owner, was so helpful and nice. We were 11 adults and 6 kids ranging from 2yrs to 14yrs and everyone loved it. If you are thinking of booking these houses don't hesitate! I would definitely return.

3 generations of family arrived for a 1 week holiday. All 16 of us.We booked both houses. We had a marvelous time with walks into Trebes, drinks along the canal and the odd dinner. Many wonderful side trips to Carcasonne and the Cathar castles as well as touring the local wineries. Narbonne was close by and is a gem. We watch much football in the pool house during the Euro cup. Tomas and his father were very gracious with tours of the estate and orchards and plans to re-establish the winery. What a great place for a reunion! We hope to return. BA British Columbia Canada
