Very old and not as clean

The room itself was really old, not as clean as i expected. There was a cockroach when i wanted to open of the drawer for utensils. The blanket given was very dirty and itchy material so couldn’t really sleep with it. Were only given tiny soaps

Good location, property needs a lot of maintenance.

Location

Cleanliness- hairs all over the bathroom. Dust coated the top of the bed heads. Clearly had not been cleaned very well at all. When I messaged the owner and told them they offered to send a cleaner over. Apparently they went in the next day but we didn’t see a difference. Cupboard doors were hanging off their hinges. Photos on website vs the actual were poles apart.

Je n'ai pas apprécié le fait, que quand j'ai fait une recherche dans booking.com pour un studio, c'était un hôtel que je recherchais, pas un Rbnb. A aucun moment il n'a été précisé que c'est un Rbnb, je l'ai découvert en arrivant à l'adresse. On avait pas de service de ménage et j'ai dû me sécher pendant 7 jours avec la même serviette. Si j'avais su que c'est un Rbnb, j'aurais apporté deux serviettes pour le séjour. Je suis cliente depuis des années avec Booking.com, j'ai toujours été satisfaite du service, mais cette fois-ci j'en garde un très mauvais goût, surtout que ça été aussi un casse-tête de récupérer les cartes clés dans une boîte, ou il fallait faire un code, avec des chiffres à roulettes et de surcroît, la boîte été dans un endroit, où il faut se mettre à 4 pattes. J'en veux pas des Rbnb Veuillez le noter svp, et prévenir les personnes qui louent des logements Rbnb, d'aller sur les sites Rbnb. Dans les Rbnb, les propriaitaires viennent acceuillir et donner des instructions, mais là incognito. J'espère ne plus du tout avoir affaire avec des Rbnb. Deux jours avant, j'étais à Brisbane à l'hôtel Great Southern Hotel et j'ai vraiment appréciée👍🏽🥰

Worst experience - I want a refund

The location was great.

There was mold all under the sink and in the shower. The fan was full of dust. There was someone’s used eyelashes left next to a bed, meaning the room wasn’t cleaned properly before we stayed there. There was only 2 toilet rolls for 6 nights for 2 people, we had buy our own, for $925 for 6 nights I would of thought we would get toilet paper included in the price. It’s an air bnb therefore the hotel wouldn’t help us, the room was not cleaned once while we there, no fresh towels or sheets once in the 6 nights. I thought I was booking a hotel room not an air bnb. Would not recommend staying here at all, find somewhere else or book through the actual hotel.

Dreadful. Avoid.

Absolutely nothing

Owner refused to respond when I queried that there was no hot water in the shower for two days, there were cigarette butts and ash all over the verandah, the bathroom had hair and sand all through it and the carpets were filthy. The plates/bowls and cutlery had been put back in the cupboard unwashed. Owner has refused to respond or refund. Disgraceful service and disgusting place to stay. Absolutely will not go back.

It was ok central for a few places

The location

There was no on-site parking and the parking where I was told to park was unaffordable we also overlooked the calli beach bar and we are early to bed people it was a bit hard with the loud music playing

OUR BEST TIME EVER WITH OUR KIDS !!!

The apartment was STUNNING and right near all the shops and everything. Perfect location. The amazing views! Spacious room, clean and tidy, comfy beds, linens, smart TV, and many more! Helpful host was also easy to connect with when needed. Our kids really enjoyed the place and will come back again and again. This place is really ideal for the family with kids. We are also thankful to booking.com for providing such a nice accommodation at a good price. Thanks to host as well for providing some extra services which generally the main hotel don't provide.

Not suitable for family or kids

Location and proximity to shops and transport.

Its aircon and Tv was not working. We decided to ignore and left the open and there were atleast 5 cockroaches. so we all were suffocated. May be suitable for someone who comes at night just to sleep. Don't recommend for family. Host stopped answering calls and messaging after I complained and we had to relocate! After sending evidences, booking.com provided compensation but host was still not picking phone or responding to them as well. Its misleading ad as non of the photos belong to this unit 511. Beware of this Host and this property is not managed by the admin in the ground floor. Host doesn't stay in the Gold Coast. Also its not rocket science to operate Air-conditioner as Host has answered to my review. I have video evidence sent to him. He stopped answer from 1st day so if it was true then why is that!!! What a cheap level of services! Plant doesn't have cockroaches its indication of filthy premises.

Very central location and tidy.

Instructions were great to fine keys, good location and clean.

Was caught out that this was a private accommodation and had to pay for parking which was $50.00 instead of included in the accommodation. the decor was clean but needed to be updated as showing wear and tear for it's age.

Stay clear of this room if you want to get any sleep! The nightclub (which is an outside club) is right on your balcony

Easy walking distance to main drag of Surfers.

Noise! It was unbearable the noise from nightclub. Room was in need of a freshen up.

Close to everything

Everything else, dirty, moldy, bathrooms, everything inside is dated. No cable tv. Very little water pressure, no pool , 😢 , this property should be a 2 star not 4 star hotel

Great location but only if you don't mind nightclub music playing till 1am all weekend

The location was excellent - air conditioning worked although was noisy. Bed was comfortable. TV worked after we had to correctly attach aerial. Close to beach, shops and transport, however the room was above a nightclub that played music from Friday night to Sunday 1am - it was super noisy for a family room and we had trouble sleeping and could not open our balcony door all this time

No kitchenette as described - just kettle and microwave. Fridge in an unstable cupboard and was on a lean. Not enough towels - only provided two new clean towels for a family of 3 and when we asked for another towel we had no response. Rubbish not emptied for a 7 day stay. Tiny amount (travel size) toiletries left for 3 people for 7 days - had to buy our own. The worst thing though was the room was above a nightclub that played music from Friday night to Sunday 1am - it was super noisy for a family room. We had trouble sleeping and could not open our balcony door all this time as music so loud - we never would have booked this room knowing that. Feel MISLED as we thought we were booking a hotel room at the Mantra when we were actually booking an Air BnB - this was not at all clear to us and in fact our first email came from the Mantra and the second email told us that the name of the hotel had changed to 22 View Avenue - when we went to try and change rooms at the hotel it was then that we were told that it was in fact an Air BnB room that we had booked - this left us angry and feeling both cheated and let down

Central surfers

We were told parking would be $25 per day in public carpark first night arrived at 6 out by 9.00 $50. Also booked for 3 and only 2 plates andcups Only stayed first night booked into equinox for remaining 3 days free carparking and beautiful sea view and access to beach. Apartments need to either offer discount card for carpark or be honest about cost. Also says has kitchenette but no sink or kitchen.

Cleanliness standards are too low. I wouldn’t recommend staying in a privately owned room to anyone. No matter how cheap

Unclean only one pillow per person and pillows were flat, it was like sleeping on nothing. The mattress was hard and not comfortable to sleep on. Cutlery and dishes were dirty. Bathroom had mould building in gout and sink. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper supplied (initially) for 4 people over 5 days had to request more toilet paper. Only one towel each was supplied also over the 5 days.

However, upon arrival, I discovered that the property had undergone a name change to "Hotel Apartments on 22 View Avenue, Surfers Paradise," and it was no longer part of the Mantra hotel chain. This sudden change resulted in a series of significant issues that have marred my entire experience. To provide you with a comprehensive account of my grievances, I will outline the sequence of events that transpired during my stay: 1. **Name Change Confusion:** Prior to my stay, I received an email notification from "[email protected]" stating that the property's name had been changed from "Mantra on View Surfers Paradise" to "Hotel Apartments on 22 View Avenue, Surfers Paradise." While I initially brushed this off as a mere name change, it later became evident that this alteration had far-reaching consequences. 2. **Inadequate Booking Rights:** Despite the property still being located within the same building and at the same address, I was denied the rights and privileges granted to other guests staying in the building who had booked directly through the hotel. This disparity became apparent when I arrived, and the receptionist could not locate our reservation. We were then instructed to retrieve our room keys from a small convenience store outside the hotel, using a code provided by the private owner. 3. **Parking Dilemma:** A further complication arose with parking. Despite being guests, the reception was unable to validate our car park tickets because our apartment was privately owned and no longer affiliated with the hotel.

Not recommended and won’t come back again.

Easy access to the beach, shops and near by restaurants.

First of all the parking was expensive. The photos on the website did not match what the apartment looked like in real life. There was access to WIFI but it would not work for us. It was difficult to attain the key card from the lock box since it was on the highest shelf and the shop lady would not even help us. Book direct to Mantra for access for better venue assistance.
