overall it was good..nice room... great shower...the room didnt have a table or chair and only 2 outlets which makes charging phones and watches tricky...The biggest issue was they had some xfinity smasung tv and it didnt have the basic channels no nbc abc fox or cbs. Well this is a major issues during football season i couldnt watch any college football Saturday we are in michigan and not even big ten network and sunday no nfl this almost ruined my trip.

Thought it might be good to stay where some of the old glory days of Detroit were clear and visible. In reality the hotel gave us the feeing of being very tired and in desperate need of a Gordon Ramsey style make over to change form a very worn and brown interior to something that reflected its potential.

Very clean and comfortable property. The rooms (and bathrooms) were spacious. The lounge downstairs felt like home.
Eva was an amazing host!

A different experience than a corporate hotel. Very nice and traditional. Room was spacious and comfortable; staff were helpful and everything was smooth. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is aged with outstanding preservation and mild upgrades. The comfort is there with the look of yesterday year. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, My wife will be coming back for dinner, the cigar bar, and a fun game of pool.

Rooms were nice and clean. Check in was a little dodgey- not very organized but once we got checked in all was good

Loved the location, the vibe, the staff, the building, the room. Great place in the heart of downtown Detroit.

The Detroit Club is an absolutely stunning venue/hotel with its beautiful decor and historic architecture. The staff is amazing from the manager James, the front desk staff, waitstaff, and valet, to the most helpful maintenence man (who let me know how he has been there since they first opened) Mr. Wine. After appreciating all the luxuries of my room, the salt water hot tub in the grotto was my favorite amenity. I truly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you all for the absolutely peaceful and positive experience!

We'll be back !!

Service was great but not very polished. Interestingly, you sign a dress code when you register, which isn't mentioned anywhere on their profile. The club is very cool, beautiful old world Detroit style. Room was well maintained but the bed we had was very uncomfortable and the air conditioner was very noisy. Likely wouldn't stay there again.

One night stay! Beautiful historic hotel with excellent beds.Service was sparse as only one person appeared to do everything!!!! Amazingly breakfast which was nice. Arrival champagne also a nice touch. Great location!!!

From the moment we arrived everything was first class treatment! From checking in with the wonderful woman at the front desk to the gentleman who help us with our bags! The is a hidden gem in Detroit and I highly recommend The Detroit Club!!

Stayed with my wife for one night for a romantic gateway. We booked a couple massage and had a dinner at the Bohemia restaurant at the hotel. The hotel building is a very interesting historical property with many elements preserved from the past: wooden elements of the décor, some paintings, original telephone booths, book shelves etc. We had a room on 4th floor. The room was comfortable, sleep quality was great, everything was clean, just what you expect from this upscale property.
Massage was good, visit to the "cove" and infra red sauna was worth it. Dinner was ok, let's say 3.5 stars out of 5. The food quality was good, but not fantastic. I expected something more fancy at that place.
Will come back again, it was overall a very nice experience.

This hotel was amazing. We will definitely be here again. There was a problem with our room’s hot water but this was corrected immediately and we ended up getting complimentary drinks from the bartender as a result. Great live music too in their bar.

It was elegant and quiet. A lovely Library Bar. A nice continental breakfast. Does have a dress code, which keeps it classy. We will definitely stay again.

Some of the best customer service I’ve ever had at a property. And my goodness is this building beautiful! It’s like taking a step back in time. If you’re thinking about staying here, do yourself a favor and do it!

I never got to stay in the room because the hotel cancelled my room and never communicated it to me. They claimed to cancel the room days before the reservation, but Expedia did not email me until after I tried to check in. It was a horrible experience. The front desk agent was very nice, but at no point did any manager offer to talk to me or help me find another place to stay.

Amazing, I was blown away. The room was even better than I thought it would be. The upkeep of the bar, lounges, amazing. It was such a lovely experience.

Overall, a nice stay. Was a bit noisy outside and people coming in late at night being loud. As far as the hotel, very nice, cozy and clean. Bed and pillows were super comfy, which you don't see often in a hotel. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Would stay again

Hotel is beautiful. The bed, the sheets and towels are all fabulous. Loved the blackout shades. I suspect the bathroom could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly- found toothpaste goo on the toilet lid…meh. REALLY enjoyed our dining experience at Bohemia. Had an excellent sever (Jen) who was friendly and knowledgeable. Sommelier was helpful and Chef came by to say hello.
There are a couple of things that could be improved- not sure what is Covid related or the norm: please find a way to have COFFEE/tea provided in the room! If you cannot provide in-room dining, then at least have a Keurig or something.
Also- there was no valet to come get our bags when we arrived (in the rain) and we carried our luggage up the steps on our own. In our room there was some electrical noise that kept coming in and out all night- couldn’t find the source. Understandable- this building is old.
Overall enjoyed our stay. Would come back to dine or for a drink at the bar.
