A blend of urban amenities, suburban community appeal, and stunning views of natural beauty at every turn.
Known for its breathtaking views of Commencement Bay and the Olympic Mountains and treasured for its convenient access to urban amenities, Northeast Tacoma offers residents the feel of a close-knit, suburban community. People love being able to spend time in nature at places like Dash Point, Dash Point State Park, and North Shore Public Golf Course while still having quick and easy access to Downtown Tacoma, the Port of Tacoma, and the train to Seattle.
In addition to spending time at the beach or enjoying a scenic round of golf, NE Tacoma offers visitors a variety of things to do. Home to Dash Point State Park, this outdoor oasis is its own little world and makes it easy to get out into nature without having to travel far. The 461-acre state park boasts 3,301 feet of saltwater shoreline, campgrounds, boating opportunities, 11 miles of hiking trails, and much more.
Take advantage of activities at Norpoint Center (a Metro Parks community center) and join in on a fitness class or go for a swim; spend a sunny afternoon exploring and picnicking at Lighthouse Park in Browns Point; or dine at one of the area’s popular eateries (local favorites include Cliff House, El Barrio, Browns Point Diner, Pimienta Bistro and Bar, Mediterranean Gyro Grill, Taqueria Sinaloa, to name a few!). If you love taking part in community events, then make sure you don’t miss out on the Original Browns Point Salmon Bake, an annual affair that occurs each August.
There are 2 parking spaces desinated for our property; 1 in front of our garage doors, and 1 in front of our entry gate. The space next to us is designated for the neighbor and there is no street parking in our neighborhood. There are some public parks close by with public parking lots. This house is not for wedding parties or large functions, it is a tight knit community and we try to respect our neighbors.
We are located in Brown's Point which is mostly a residential area, but there is a restaurant/bar within walking distance and the bus line is a short walk from the house for easy transport through the Tacoma area.
There is also a small local grocery nearby and public parks on the water. We do not have water access from our property but the views are incredible and beach access is just a few doors down!
The kitchen is a chef's dream featuring 2 islands with room for seating along with 2 stoves (8 burners), 2 ovens, an indoor grill, 2 fridges/freezers, 3 sinks, and 2 dishwashers. This is a culinary experience you will not want to miss!
The living room hosts a series of custom archways framing the prominent water view and leading to double French doors that open up to a 330 SF deck, great for relaxing, a BBQ, or entertaining. A gas fireplace and heated floors keep this room cozy while the travertine stone tiles exude beauty and elegance. And for those who want to enjoy a movie in front of the fire, there is a 70” TV with Sonos speakers. The main floor also includes a bathroom, full-size washer & dryer, a dining table, and additional TV in the kitchen along with access to the yard and gardens.
From the main floor, a curving stone staircase sweeps up to the second floor with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each room is furnished with care and all bathrooms have custom tile work. The main bathroom has a walk-in shower with therapeutic black stones inlaid into the floor providing a spa-like experience. The master bathroom has an extra-long 2 person soaking tub where you can pamper yourself in front of a charming gas fireplace. The master bedroom provides another breath-taking view of the water that is as romantic as it is majestic. Get even closer to the sounds and smells of nature from your own private deck as the sun sets beyond the Sound and mountains.
Finally, the lowest floor is accessible by another sweeping staircase from the main floor of the house. The bonus room is highlighted by a pool table, a bar, and TV. There is an additional bedroom with a king-sized bed and bathroom with shower on the lower floor.
Many people also love NE Tacoma for its transit and commute options; the Port of Tacoma is close by, and you can drive into Downtown Tacoma in just 20 minutes (there’s a bus option, too!). The close proximity to the Sounder Train Station by the Tacoma Dome means you can hop on the train to Seattle for work or play, or easily access Interstate-5. Plus, with Federal Way right next door, you also have the option of using a Park & Ride or buses there as well.
In order to provide the best guest experience possible, we will send you a text message with the door code and other check-in details on check-in day. You will be able to reply via text with any questions that come up during your stay and we will reply quickly. You are welcome to opt out of text messages at any time.

We had such a wonderful 3 weeks at this home, we surely hope next year we will be able to return, it was not only comfortable, but had everything you would possibly want or need as in your own home. The view was mesmerizing and the whole area in general was fantastic, bar, restaurants, brewery, grocery, nail salon and post office.
The property manager was impeccable making sure we had everything we needed. Couldn't have been happier.

We had a great stay over Labor Day weekend. House was so clean and ready for us. There are lots of rooms and each has a TV so you can get privacy while staying with a large group. The views from the deck and master bedroom are almost unbelievable! The hosts are pet friendly and even left a little gift and goodie bag for our pup. They are also super responsive to any questions that come up. Highly recommend walking to the beach a few doors down and eating at the Cliff House restaurant up the street.

Great stay and communication with host throughout! Had one unexpected mishap, no fault of the host, that was addressed very quickly which was greatly appreciated. House, location, kitchen and views are all as over the top as the pictures represent!

This an AMAZING property! If you are in the Seattle/Tacoma area and want to escape the city hubbub in exchange for beautiful, peaceful waterfront on Puget Sound, this is it. The pictures don’t exaggerate the beauty or the property. It is immaculate, uses non-harmful cleaning products and welcomes pets! And Kat is prompt in responding to questions and addressing any issues. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Beautiful place that we stayed with our high school friends. The view is breath-taking and just like in the pictures. The kitchen was awesome and loved by our chefs. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for having us.

Cooking was fun in this well equipped kitchen. Bring extra paper products as supply is limited.

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. I was fun to see the traveling large container ships. The kitchen is amazing but we don't cook on our getaways so.....We enjoyed that it was so private and quiet and away from city traffic. The short walk to the Brown's Point Lighthouse was a great way to just spend some time out and about. We did drive down to the waterfront to walk and have lunch several times but the whole point of these getaways is to just spend time with one another. This was our first gathering since 2019 due to the pandemic and it means travel from both the East and West coasts.

This was a beautiful home to stay in and really made our time relaxing and enjoyable. It was only 3 of us so we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The kitchen was amazing and stocked with whatever you need to have a nice cooked meal at home. It's basically 2 kitchens! Definitely taking notes for our kitchen remodel!
I really liked the labels on the cabinets for everything and little 'how to' instructions left around the house. Especially because there are a lot of light switches in this house. Ha!
The views were amazing and my son and I enjoyed watching seals chase fish and huge cargo ships go by. We loved eating in the large dining room and enjoying the views. Upstairs was great and the master was a real treat! Our bed and my son's room were very soft and comfortable. All linens and towels were soft and clean. Bathrooms were also very clean and stocked with toiletries.
The basement area was really cool and we played some pool. No one stayed down there but its like its own apartment. It was a little damp smelling, but it seemed like the house had been vacant for a bit before we got there. Nothing opening a couple of windows couldn't take care of.
The hostess, Kat was great! From the get, she was very helpful in resolving any issues that came up and very responsive! She even bought me hot cocoa and delicious cookies. Very happy we got a chance to stay here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Wow! What a lovely place to be at. We stayed for three nights and wished we could stay longer! Kat is a wonderful host and promptly answers if or when needed. The kitchen is amazing and anything you need is at your finger tips! Our absolute favourite was the deck and the view. Morning coffee to evening stargazing, hands down great! Thank you and look forward to booking again!!

A wonderful remodeled older home with all the new amenities. Beautiful view of the Sound upstairs and down. Responsive communication from the host. Close enough to Tacoma to enjoy the restaurants and fabulous Point Defiance Park. I recommend renting the e-bikes as there’s wonderful bike lanes and paths around Tacoma. The neighborhood around the home is quiet and being almost completely fenced this property is very private. Three bedrooms upstairs and one in the basement so not handicap accessible or for those who are challenged by stairs.

A group of friends and I booked this for the 4th of July - we had a lake day, and this was the perfect place to relax afterward. House was great, views were incredible, wifi and devices (Sonos speakers) all worked - Kat & team were very helpful/responsive if anything came up; would definitely book again!

This home is more beautiful than can be shown in pictures. The views are so wonderful especially in the morning. Every day our family was greeted by beautiful scenery including playful sea otters and seals next to the shore and a clear view of the snow capped Olympia mountains in the distance. The kitchen was fun with my son baking on one side and me cooking on the other. We celebrated my husband's birthday with his family here and are so glad that we did. Everything worked well and the location was an ideal distance from Seattle and his family in Tacoma. I will definitely stay here or at any property hosted by Kat in the future. She was very responsive and proactive in all communication. Thank you!
