This was a great stay. The hotel was under constuction but it was done in a way that didn't affect us negatively at all. To our surprise, our room was upgraded to a 2 bdrm, 2 bath and that was a wonderful surprise.

Staff was amazing and super helpful! Easy and quick check in and even quicker checkout! Love these rooms! Loved the art, the bed, the curtains and how well the wall color went with the furniture! I didn't want to leave this room! So easy and convenient for the History Museum!
They are currently under construction so it may be a lil further walk to get to breakfast or outside.

Very nice staff and room
The air conditioning wasn't working and no one was available to help. Toilet height seemed low. The room was very nice and comfortable.

Location was the only thing I liked
Construction is far beyond “room renovation”. Jackhammering started at 7 AM on Friday and was so loud we had to vacate our room for the whole day and leave early on Saturday when it started up again at 9 AM. Management did nothing but apologize, via email, for not being able to update all websites as to true extent of the construction. This is completely unacceptable and shameful. As far I am concerned, their construction “disclaimer” is false advertising and extremely misleading.I should have been given a refund. I will NEVER stay at a Holiday Inn again.

Location
Certain staff(Jacqueline) were rude when we requested items. Whether they had the requested items or not, doesn't constitute the rude behavior. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they are in the hospitality business, they in fact were not hospitable. Several amentities they claim were available on this site were not. From the pool to the temp control in the room, and on top of that the microwave didn't work; all items this site claims were available. When you pay for these things you expect to have them at your convenience. We pay hard earned money to be comfortable while away from home. I highly do not recommend this hotel if you're looking for any real hospitality.

Breakfast, the room, hotel close to our purpose (the Convention Center). Nice, friendly staff (except for one), including the construction workers.
Construction at the hotel. The pool & spa were closed, we had children that were very disappointed. I was disappointed that the hot tub was closed. No one informed us when we reserved. No one informed us when we checked in, we did not know until the excited children went to look at the pool.

The location was great.
The housekeeper's lack of cleanliness was a nightmare. My toddler had an accident in the middle of the night. So, the bed was obviously in the area where the child was sleeping.
One would think the housekeeper would have discovered this upon addressing the bedding -- unfortunately, that was not so, because the sheets were still wet when I arrived back to the room that night, and the bed was made up [in perfection]. Obviously, the hotel do not change their customers' sheets, especially when needed.

Beds were so cozy. Room was cold when we walked in. Love that they have all the amenities like the ironing board, hair blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, Keurig, free coffee, microwave and refrigerator. Free breakfast was complete with bread, oatmeal, yogurt, pastries, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruits, etc. They even have a take-out bag available if you need it! I love that they have hot chocolate for those who don't drink coffee. And the staff were really nice. Location is good. It was walking distance from the University and little shops. Parking outside is safe. They will clean your room everyday.
No bottled water in the room. Had to ask for some. You have to ask for toiletries. Wish it was all placed in the room. The little store downstairs did not have much selection in their refrigerator. All they had was cheese pizza and some drinks. No Pepto-Bismal for sale.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable. And spotless. Nice bed and pillows. We didn't use the Keurig coffeemaker but appreciated that it was there. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Plentiful breakfast selections. The free Link light rail was great. Pleasantly surprised overall and would stay here again.
Bathroom doesn't have a fan. Loud partiers outside at 6 a.m., but can't fault the hotel for that. Omelets were awful but luckily there were plenty of other breakfast choices. A little trouble with the thermostat.

The hotel was nicer than I expected. Our room was spacious and quiet. The breakfast was great. We had to pay extra for parking, but the parking lot was easy to navigate and there were plenty of spaces.
Unfortunately, the pool was closed, but they did let us know that at check-in.

I loved the breakfast room, it was mainly the Tawana lady that was working. Her vibe was nice, clean, cute and took pride where she worked.

Good location for weekend sporting events around Tacoma. Close to mall for some fun shopping. Walking distance to a restaurants. Clean comfortable room. We felt safe as mom/daughters traveling. Slept well.
Pool was freezing cold and out of towels. No hot tub. Breakfast was okay but processed egg omelet was gross. Just scramble eggs instead. And add bacon, more fresh fruit. Parking fee.
