This property is wonderful. I booked it for my 50th birthday and was joined by 12 friends.
It was the perfect size for us. Two people had to sleep on sofabeds, but the rest got (in most cases) a double bed.
We enjoyed breakfast and coffee outside on the stone seat, various points around the pool (huge - unheated by very refreshing) during the day and the seating near the pool for sundowners and watching some of us in some table-tennis matches. In the evening the kitchen we cooked and it was fabulous. All the kitchen equipment you need and a great big table to sit together to enjoy it. Later we'd sit outside at the wonderful large stone table and drink wine and listen to music.

Words can’t begin to describe how incredible this property is! I had booked it originally for a belated birthday holiday with 10 of my closest friends and everything about it exceeded our already high expectations from the listing.
The villa itself is beyond charming — we repeatedly referred to it as a self-care oasis. Very private, very clean, very relaxing. From the charming sun-baked trulli on the main house to the enormous, lavender-scented swimming pool, you can tell a lot of thought and detail went into this property. Every bedroom was so well-appointed and comfortable and there was ample space for everyone to have their own privacy (important in so large a group).
The property owners were exceptionally warm and helpful in arranging our stay in the days leading up to the trip and their complimentary gifts of wine and local guides were as thoughtful as they were classy. I would also like to mention the property manager Lucia who was exceptional in her communications to the group and in making our stay comfortable. She is one in a million!
Our stay at this property could truly not have been more magical and the memories we made that week will definitely have us making this an annual holiday! Thank you so much for having us!

The pool and location are good, but the villa/some of the equipment is tired and communications/arrangements with owners/managers really takes off any shine.
The villa is well located (countryside is quiet and lovely) and the pool is a great size for a large party. The sleeping, kitchen and eating areas (inside and out) all work well. Some of the pool furniture, the pool surround etc… is getting tired (for example some of the umbrellas don’t open, the table tennis bats are defunct, there wasn’t a working bbq and apparently some of the edging near the pool is unsafe to walk on?), and this can make a difference if you intend to spend the majority of your time by the pool. It is fine: it just isn’t a Euro4k/week villa in this area.
In terms of the arrangements/communications you should be aware that you might be asked for additional deposits once you have booked, and as the date of travel becomes close - I think that I had to pay three extra ones I wasn’t expecting, in cash and bank transfers totalling almost 2k. I did receive almost everything back (I think I am down about 80 - I don’t know why), but the demands, and their timing, all felt a bit unpleasant at the time. Additionally, if there is anything that is particularly important to you, you have to be very clear about it. When we arrived we were told that we couldn’t use the bbq because it was broken and wasn’t going to be fixed (until towards the end of the week). A replacement was sourced when we complained, but it took quite a struggle (which you just don’t need when you are trying to relax with a group).

We loved our week at Lu and Eric’s Trulli. We were 4 couples with 4 children under 10, and had a fantastic week.
By far the best thing about the property was the outdoor space, especially the pool area (it’s huge). We spent the majority of our time there so didn’t really use indoors too much other than to prepare food in the kitchen and sleep.
Location wise, in between two lovely towns, Martna Franca and Cegile Messapica, so very convenient, but you will 100% need a car. And a great central location to explore the region.
Hopefully one day we’ll have the opportunity to return!

Very nice house for a group of friends. The bed are nice and the swimming pool is very very big. The house is also well equipped to cook.
Perfect stay !
FYI : there are 8 rooms but one room is for 3 and one room is for one. We were 8 couples so it was not very convenient. Just be aware of it.

We stayed at Trullove for a week and could have just stayed on. We were a group of three families with teenage (and older) kids and we all absolutely loved it. The main house had enough space for us to prepare meals for the big group (lots of fun) and we could choose to eat outside or inside. Loved the different living areas offered in the main house, the villetta and the trulli, and we really had so much space to enjoy, together and alone.
The pool.....what can I say....we would head to the pool as soon as we woke, with our coffee and books, and have a morning swim before heading out for the day's adventures. The house was close enough to nearby villages that we didn't feel as if it just took too long to pop out for supplies.
It did take all of us a little time to find the house on arrival, but once we got the lay of the land, it was pretty easy to get around. We have passed on a couple of tips that we thought would be useful for visitors finding the house.
Loved Lucia, the property manager who was very helpful with all our questions. We picked apricots from the tree in the garden, used all the herbs from the garden and appreciated the wine, bread, crackers and garlic left for us on arrival.
Honestly, the house is probably the best house we have stayed in with a large group, and we all thought that it was really well equipped with an abundance of kitchenware that meant we weren't constantly washing up. Decorated beautifully! Our children all loved their time there, especially with the pool and the table tennis table. Anyway, I could just keep raving about the house, but will leave it for future guests to discover themselves. Oh, one last thing - the requirement to separate rubbish for recycling and compost was great. Thank you so much - we hope to be back some day.

We were a group of 8 adults and 7 kids who enjoyed a fantastic time in this charming
property. Most of the time was spent by the pool which was truly amazing. Barbequing, table tennis and relaxing in the quiet country side in the evenings was also great. We would reccommend a rental car to experience the region. The Ionic Sea was worth the drive.
Internet (wifi and mobile internet) was limited, which was a disadvantage for some of us.
The property manager was really nice and helpful, although we were asked to pay some extra charges which were not agreed upon and comminicated in advance, such as extra cleaning and removal of waste.
One or two additional parasols would be good as there was only one during our stay.
4.7
It was amazing to stay in a trulli villa after seeing many trulli on the way there. It was very comfortable and well kept. The large infinity pool was amazing with a very safe shallow end for children. All our meals were at the huge outdoor stone table provided with shade at lunch time and outdoor lights for the evenings.
The villa is a distance from other properties so the only noise was our own. The main trulli town of Alberobello is not far and the closer Martina Franca has a good supermarket for restocking once the generous amount of food and drink provided was all gone. We managed a day by the seaside to the north too.
4.7
This is a lovely villa with charm and character and a stunning pool and lovely surrounding countryside. It's very quiet and relaxed.
4.7
The villa is perfectly located - in the countryside, with no distraction, but only 15-20 mins drive away from two picturesque towns in the heart of Puglia. The rooms were spotless, well furnished, and spacious and the whole place could comfortably accommodate 14 people. From the moment we arrived, you could tell the owners had put a lot of thought into making the villa as comfortable as possible - complimentary wine and bread, bottles of water to save us going to the supermarket on our first night, and lots of books (including their own on Puglia). The swimming pool was exceptional - a beautifully-lit, large infinity pool that couldn't have been any better,

My family (15 persons from 3 to 83), and I stayed in Trullove for one week in October.
As soon as we arrived, we felt like at home thanks to Zora.
Enough space and privacy for everyone. An amazing swimming pool, a full equiped kitchen, surrounded of olive trees ... space, nature, freedom, nothing was missing ...
A definitly recommended address for big group/family

We stayed for a week with 4 adults and 6 kids and had an amazing time. There was lots of exploring on foot for the kids - even go to see the grapes being harvested next door. The pool is absolutely beautiful - in pristine shape. Another highlight (for the kids especially) is the rooftop where they spent hours climbing and playing.
Very comfortable interior design and a highly functional kitchen. Fast wifi. The house manager arranged for a chef to cook our anniversary dinner which was lovely. Also a nice vegetable and spice garden we availed ourselves of. Otherwise we had fantastic meals everywhere we went. Martina Franca is both a destination in itself and a nice nearby town to enjoy restaurants/cafes/walks and take care of errands.
We will definitely be back to Puglia.

I planned a three week holiday with my friends and the last week was at this magnificant villa in Puglia. The swimming pool provided fantastic entertainment for all, both young and old. The heat provided the perfect excuse to stay in the pool untill midnight on one or two occasions. We were a party of 13 with 6 kids and had more than enough space to have some privacy when needed. The villa is located very close to Martina Franca and perfectly situated close to many of the most amazing towns. August was the perfect time to go as there were festivals in Lecce, Ostuni and Alberobella. The vibe in each of these towns with lights and live music was amazing and only a short drive from the villa. For the keen beach goers it was an easy drive to spend some days on the beach before we headed out to the towns at night. The large pool and big table under the shade provided a perfect setting for those days we decided to linger at the villa.
I celebrated my 40th birthday just before arriving and having mentioned this to Lu (owner) who promptly surprised me with proseco and birthday cake. What an amazing special thing to do.
We will definitly go back!!

Quiet location, stylish interiors and if you want to unwind in authentic surroundings, this Trulli is the place to stay. The layout is well designed to provide privacy for everyone. The buildings were tastefully refurbished. The kitchen is large and very well equipped with all the necessities. There is even a wonderful herb and vegetable garden that the owners allowed us to use. The tomatoes were plentiful and delicious! A huge swimming pool with sun loungers is neatly situated at the back of the villa. A washing machine, table tennis and barbecue were welcome additions as we spent a lot of time at the Trulli, the outside dining table was perfectly located between the kitchen and the swimming pool. The nearest town is Martina Franca and is absolutely delightful. There is no shortage of restaurants to visit and a local supermarket is nearby. We would recommend this Trulli to those wanting to experience the heart of Puglia and enjoy authentic surroundings. A Big thank you to Zoha the house representative in Puglia who was always available to help !!

Trullove is more than a private resort in the middle of fields of ancient rocks and olive tree groves. It is more than bright stars with air that is soft and clear. It is very much a private estate/home lovingly created and designed by Eric and Lu, who have become our very good friends.
The property is a miracle. It is ancient trulli, that Eric and Lu has carefully renovated, according to Italian law to preserve its historic integrity while creating a space that is beautiful, modern, and extremely comfortable. I loved the rich meditation colors used in what we called the “honeymoon cottage.”
The property is large enough that we were able to enjoy a 17-day vacation with our entire family, which numbered between 8 and 16 at any given time. The modern kitchen and great room allowed us to spend a lot of time together while at the same time gave us privacy and freedom to “do our own thing.” This is important when you have guests aged between 5 and 81. This would also be an amazing place for a business retreat.
Zohar, the caretaker, was really friendly and gave wonderful advice on how to spend our days. Eric has written a travel book on Puglia which we kept by our side and constantly referred to. During the day we walked the streets of many nearby villages, shopped in open-air markets, and took home fresh seafood to prepare in the beautifully appointed kitchen at Trullove. Though a bit of a drive, don’t miss Matera and Lecce.
We usually ate dinner at Trullove, having purchased our foods at the markets and grocery stores at Ceglie Messapica or Martina Franca. Our hosts were very generous and fully stocked each fridge with very nice wines, which we enjoyed very much.
For Americans, it is important to understand that the pace of life is very different in Puglia. Best shopping and visiting takes place early in the morning and then late afternoon. The towns sleep between noon and 4. Do your sight seeing while the locals are up and around. Otherwise, you can miss meeting some of the friendliest people. Also, make sure you reserve a couple of days to stay at Trullove to enjoy the huge Olympic sized infinity pool. We also enjoyed eating the prickly pears, picking tomatoes, cooking on the barbeque and eating at the amazing outdoor marble slab table.
We miss Puglia and Trullove, a beautiful experience. We highly recommend this paradise and hope to return someday.

We were a group of 16, staying in Trullove in August 2012 and August 2013. 16 People means 4 families with kids from 1 to 16. What can I tell: It was like 'Paradise on Earth'. The house, the pool, the surrounding...
A lovely swim in the morning - then cycling (yes we brought our bikes!) with the kids to the mini-market at the fuel-station for a 1st coffee, getting lovely buns for the breakfast at the huge stone table in front of the house. Then you could decide: Stay at home (And we felt like home!) and spend a relaxing day at the magnificent pool or discover all the beautiful towns in the neighborhood. We went cycling (find the way along acquedotto Pugliese!) went to the Adriatic beaches near Ostuni and Monopoli or Pulsano on the Ionian Sea. Martina Franca, Ceglie, Ostuni... so many lovely towns to visit, Don't forget to go to Bari, Lecce or Matera... There are many good restaurants in the area - so no problem if you don't want to cook. But it was the house that made us feel like home: A perfect kitchen with everything to need for preparing a dinner for 16!. Everything was tidy and clean and decorated with love. The place is large enough to give enough privacy for everyone but you have inside and outside the opportunity to sit and eat together. One night we had our personal chef preparing a fantastic dinner. So lt was like paradise on earth. And what you can feel: It is not like staying in a hotel or ordinary holiday home. It is the home of Lu and Eric and they share it with you.
We can highly recommend the place and will definitely come again.
