Bicycles rusted and were not functional, The air-conditioning could not cool the house from 11:30am to 8 pm average temperature inside was 83-84 degrees. The laminate flooring in the kitchen was separated due to not installed very well. The cable stations for the TV were very basic. From the time we arrived my girlfriend and myself constantly sneezed I'm not sure why. As far as the location it was very nice , the people in the park very nice. I do recommend Venture out . Everything that I mentioned here is fixable I hope it is for future guests.

Cute property but small. Bikes were rusty and unusable. Do yourself a favor, do not sleep on sofa sleeper! VERY old and has springs poking through. No grass and not per friendly at all…won’t be returning.

Absolutely loved our time we spent Blue Mind. We stayed for five days with our two small dogs. The house was perfectly located on the canal with beautiful and relaxing views. The house is perfectly decorated and was fully stocked with all the essential supplies to make any type of meal. We sat outside on the canal side and ate shrimp cocktail and grilled while enjoying the view. The house was very clean and well kept. Loved that the unit had a washer and dryer. Bathroom had plenty of bath towels for our stay. The unit also had a lot of extra pillows and blankets. Loved meeting some of the other residents and enjoyed the pool. Wished we could have stayed longer. We would highly recommend this place and hope yo return soon.

This property was perfect for my husband and two fur babies! Great location on the canal and had everything we needed and even easily let us extend our stay since we weren’t ready to leave the keys!!! The place was decorated and updated in perfect keys style and made us feel right at home.

We have stayed in the park many times. We love the pool and the walk ability. Our unit had everything we needed. An added bonus was two bikes and an ocean kayak to enjoy and explore. We would definitely stay here again. Lots of good local restaurants as well.

We have been familiar with Venture Out for over 20 years, but have never stayed in that resort. We loved the unit, location and ease of it all. There was a little problem getting a key at the beginning, but that was rectified. The channels would not come in on the tv - it kept asking for a code, but we did not want to keep bothering property management about it. (Thanks to Allison for helping out when she could). It is great place to walk right out to your boat, and easy in and out to the water. Although we did not use any of the appliances, or dishes..etc the unit looked well stocked for any needs. We were overall pleased, and treated the unit just like our home during our short stay. We will absolutely be booking again soon!

Its an older mobile/trailer with an attached sunken living room/addition. Know that going in and you will be happy with what you get. It has great amenities and was clean and well stocked with many updates.

The house was cute & clean except for a dirty oven, mildewed bath towels and some dirty clothing left in the closet. We had a couple of issues including problems with the air and smoke ftom the dirty oven so we called and left a message with the management company but never heard from anyone. After we returned home, we got an email with the message “filthy oven” and a charge for $25. I called and emailed letting them know it was not us and that no one ever returned our calls. They replied we didn’t leave a message and they had a special person assigned to the oven. Cute house, awful customer service. There are a lot of other great places that offer both.

Great place to stay. Very cozy and cute. Lots of amenities, great views and close to Key West. Only issue is a place for your dogs to use restroom. No grass. So our dogs had to learn to use gravel for a bathroom. They caught on quick but may be in issue for other dog owners. Otherwise it was a great stay and definitely would rent again!

We really enjoyed the blue mind this year. This is a repeat stay for my husband and I. The place is really clean and has everything you would need. I really appreciated the bike upgrades this year. My husband and I loved the kayak and sitting out back on the water. Great view. I love all the special touches of this place. We felt truly at home here and would most definitely return again. Can’t say enough about this property. Thank you

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. It had everything we needed for a long weekend visiting the Florida keys. Everything was well stocked with bedding/linens, the kayak and bikes were an added bonus, and the Venture Out community had many amenities, too! We would definitely be back.

This place is immaculate and exactly what we were expecting. It was a wonderful experience being able to kayak from the "back yard" to the open ocean. We used the bikes to ride around the community at night, and to the pool and back. It definitely has a retirement community feel to it, but that means it is safe and quiet. The location is perfect for exploring the Keys.

The place was beautiful. Very clean excellent location! The only thing that we had a problem with is the toilet, slider door, no stopper for the tub, and laundry. It made it difficult to do the necessary cleanup duties.

The property management’s after hours response to a couple of items was disappointing but, we managed. The house was delightful and had a lot of special touches. We kayaked and biked throughout the awesome community! WE LOVED IT!!!

The location was perfect. It was a cute little house. We enjoyed the stay and the area. The only draw back was the bed was too hard and had to sleep several nights on the couch, which did not make our stay the restful one I sorely needed. My husband likes a hard bed and it was too hard for him. Gave him back pain.

We enjoyed our stay we had everything that we need it was extremely clean. The dryer needs to be fixed. Will not stay running long enough to dry clothes. The grill needs to be replaced. The burners are shot. Security is very good and everybody was very friendly and helpful!

Place is nice, good location. Well stocked with essentials.
Washing machine was hard to get to work. Dryer would get warm but not dry any clothes.

Check-in was a process, including having to launch the boat ASAP! Drove 9 hours, just bought cold groceries, was told I had to launch right away and told ‘not able to leave the boat unattended,’ but had to rinse and park trailer in an overflow lot 1/4 mile down the road.
Pulled boat up behind the house and noticed a piling at a 45 degree angle. I moved it literally 2” and it snapped off it’s rusted mounts, scraped my boat and sank to the bottom.
Got into the house around 5:00 and it was 84 degrees… And for the next 5 days, the house didn’t get cooler than 82 during the day. House rules are: Do not set AC lower than 74, which we never did. There are plenty of fans in the house though and there is a reason. It’s hott.
I’m sure it’s poorly insulated, but worse… the cheap 15 year old fridge is pumping some VERY hott air into that tiny place! To the owners, save yourself A LOT of money and replace it. Extremely noticeable walking passed it.
-The TV needs instructions.
-We didn’t know there was outside trash for 3 days. Not everyone’s trash can is underground and we couldn’t find it. If that’s in the rules, I missed it and I apologize.
-The washing machine didn’t work. Kinda important.
And it’s a 1/1, fine for a couple… ‘sleeps 4’ is really, really pushing it.
Feeling generous with a 3 outta 5.

Loved how clean and bright this home was. Enjoyed morning coffee watching the fish in the canal. This location was perfect for us being on Cudjoe Key for a family reunion.

I'm a little torn about this property.
I feel that 3 stars is an appropriate rating based on my "vacation property" expectations. But, some issues are not property owners' issues per se - so I give it 4 stars.
Positives:
- Communications with/from property management were very timely and professional
- House was very clean
- Conditioning worked well
- House by itself is tiny but pleasant - particularly the kitchen and the bedroom
Negatives:
- Check out instructions are somewhat borderline nasty and confusing. Lots of "you will be charged" and "you will be ticketed" warnings and inferences. Like - "take dishes out of dishwasher, clean the grill, empty the refrigerator because that is not the cleaning crew responsibilities". Well, maybe, but we do pay much money for cleaning.
- Property description states that the renter will be given one roll of paper towel and one roll of toilet paper. Really?.. Anyway, since that notion of "one roll" was that important, I have to mention that there was no paper towel roll given to us. I like paper towels.
- I agree with one of the reviewer that the main photo (photos) is misleading. No one will sit in those chairs and enjoy the view of the road with sun blasting one in the face. And, photos do give a feel that the property is larger. So, congrats - good pictures
- The gate charge of hundred seven was not a surprise. But, gate people attitude was off. Based on my personal feel of the situation. The younger guy was just enjoying himself gleeing and saying that "You go feel out that application and come back and I will check you in." So, I asked him don't I need my credit card as well to pay hundred seven? He kind off deflated, stopped smiling and said "Oh you do know about $107 charge..." Nice!
- Clear feel that the community does not want renters. Whatever.
- Cannot walk dogs in the community. Very strange.
