Got in late about 9 PM or so and went to the lock box got the key and the house had no electricity. The electric had gone off in the neighborhood, but was now on, but no one had reset the house. It was scorching hot inside and no way to turn on the electricity. At 10 PM we had to find another place to stay. I was not assured that there was a local person that could fix this so we had to make Accommodations elsewhere for the weekend. We were there for a funeral. Very stressful.

House was dirty, towels on the floor, beds not made, dirty dishes when we arrived to check in. Contacted the host via text and asked for her to call us instead of text and she never called and wanted to communicate via text which speaks volume of her lack of concern on how to treat her guests.

Lovely historical home. Perfectly located for Bourbon Trail Tours. We were just a little disappointed the dishwasher didn’t work and there wasn’t any outdoor area to sit.
Emily was easy to correspond with and check in and out was quite easy. We would stay again!

Cute house but no air, no electric upstairs….so it was hot! Ended up that some of our party didn’t come because of issue and others had to sleep together and sleep on couch downstairs. Absolutely NO communication and I texted, called and messaged multiple times! This place has potential but needs to take care of the issues and have better communication.

Loved the character of the older house. I am giving it a 4 as it was clean and spacious and overall a good experience but no extras provided. I towel for each of us for 3 nights. The dishwasher washer was broken so we hand washed dishes. No bottled water or welcome basket. It was raining most of our stay and the house had a slight musty smell. King size comfortable beds but again only 1 pillow each.

House has a great location. No outlets worked in the downstairs bathroom, fan remote wouldn’t work for downstairs bedroom, TV kept going out while we tried to watch football in main room. Kitchen very cold, not sure it had much heat but not fun to cook in since so cold. Bathrooms could use towel hooks by shower, bathmat and somewhere to place items since counters are so tiny. Most of these would be easy fix items.

A great spot, walkable to lots of great restaurants and downtown attractions. Ample parking for larger vehicles. The home was well appointed for the five adults in our group. Would recommend checking it out for anyone exploring Kentucky's beautiful capital city and is also a great location for many distilleries.

The property and decor is very charming. The house is very old but nicely updated. When we arrived there was no electric. I was able to make contact with the property manager and it was back on within 30 minutes. The property manager was very prompt with communication upon arrival, however I attempted multiple times, through the VBRO app to contact them about extending our stay due to my Mom's surgery getting postponed with no response. I ended up booking it for the extra days and having to pay for the VBRO fee and the cleaning fee twice. The host only reached out after I notified them that I booked it for the extra days and would not need a cleaner. The host only replied with they were sorry they hadn't received the notifications from the previous messages. The upstairs air-conditioned did not work and it was a little warm upstairs. This was not an huge issue as it was beautiful weather. The house was very clean and the location was perfect.
