A couple of the things we love about our property!
This area is one of the most peaceful areas we have visited. There is a lovely fire pit out back in the center of the yard. I am sure you can muster up enough sticks and wood in the area to get some embers going and relax. If you are out in the evening, keep your eyes peeled for the light bugs! I absolutely love the water passing over the rocks in the stream which travels down the length of our property line. If you walk out the back gate you can follow the stream to some of the local falls and lay on some rock and absorb the lovely atmosphere. An atmosphere filled with greenery, flowers, deer, birds and may of natures other beauties. We constantly cook and eat outside on our table for 10 overlooking the woods and the beautiful Ridgeline.
Things our guests love about Beech and Banner Elk.
It does not matter what time of year you are in the area, there is always something going on or something to do! The countless outdoor and indoor activities begin right out the door from hiking, mountain biking, skiing, tubing in the snow or on a nearby river. Nearby waterfalls, a few notable mountains, blowing rock and much more. The beautiful golf course is right down the street. Some of the indoor activities are your art museums, local shopping, wineries, great Italian and steakhouse dining, craft coffee shops. The list goes on and on. We would love to write you a book or share memories for hours, but it is probably best for you to book with us and begin creating some of your fondest memories!

We arrived through the rain but it snowed overnight and the kids got to experience their first snowfall. We skied Sunday and Monday and the place is less than 1 mile from resort. Lots of deer. Only disappointment was that the fireplace did not work. Would have been nice. The 4 boys ages 10-17 really enjoyed the loft and 4 bunk beds and my daughter and I enjoyed our space in the rooms below. Highly recommend.

The Good: the cabin is beautiful, the location is amazing.
The Bad: There are two Nest brand cameras in the common spaces - a direct violation of VRBO's policies - and there were multiple times throughout our trip that the lights on the cameras were livestreaming. It was deeply uncomfortable to look up from eating breakfast and see that someone is watching you.

Really had a great time at this cabin. Had everything we needed and was super close to everywhere we needed to go.

The cabin is as listed. Gorgeous and so clean. But no where was it listed that in winter times you more than likely need a AWD or 4 Wheel Drive vehicle. We planned our kids Christmas and was not able to enjoy the cabin. The roads were unserviceable and froze over. We barely made it down the road to the house on the 1st night. Had to cut our trip early by 2 days bc the weather was turning worse while our stay. And freezing temps would have us stuck if we didn’t get out the next day. Our children wanted to tube and ski but if we stayed we would have been snowed in and unable to do anything.
If we had someone tell us this before our trip we would have prepared better and hopefully been able to enjoy the cabin. The neighbors are great!! They are the ones that helped us get out for our children to have a happy new years and enjoy their Christmas presents.
Did request a day of my 3 day trip for a refund but the contact person has never replied back. Sad on their part.

This place was gorgeous! The sleeping areas were perfect for us. The trails that connect to the property were some of the best we hiked. I only gave a 4 rating because the kitchen wasn’t as well stocked as we are use to. Our grandchildren have severe food allergies and therefore we have to make everything from scratch. For instance there is no strainer. No pother when I went to make homemade lemonade. Pans were too small for a large group so had to make a couple batches which took longer. The grill was severely rusty indicating that it hadn’t been cured by previous renters like it says you are supposed to do. This took us quite awhile to do before we could use it. There were only one dish towel. No dishcloths so I had to go buy a set of both. If you don’t cook then you have no worries the place is perfect. The only other issue is our grands are also allergic to mold and there must have been a leak under the sink. They were urine dumping terrible all week which happens when exposed to mold. The smell when you open the lowers cabinets was very strong. Just a heads up to people with these issues. These are things that can be fixed very easily by the owners. Over all a great vacation with a lot of precious memories made. 😊

Great cabin for a family! Beautiful house with comfy beds and it had everything we needed. It was also in the best location with so much close by. The children enjoyed seeing all the deer in the yard and around the neighborhood. We were also visited by a skunk, which was so cool to see! The nature trail was right out of the gate and was a fun adventure. Thanks for a great family weekend getaway!
