Very nice, classic building with modern updates. Very chic. Great location. Close to everything. Was hesitant about no person on sight for check in but everything went well and was very easy using phone to unlock doors. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was amazing! Super clean and I loved the atmosphere. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was mesmerizing.

Really lovely historic building, updated with modern touches - really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again on our next visit.

Really clean.

I have traveled the world and have experienced hundreds of hotels, the Hotel Melrose is my favorite of all of them. Cozy, moody, and comfortable, I love this place. Craft cocktails at the bar are a great way to unwind from traveling, and the staff is 10/10. I hope to visit for a third time soon.

The room looked newly decorated, was spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed. However, it was very dark and you couldn’t even open the blinds as it was overlooked by a car park. The hotel has no staff on site and the experience of downloading an entry key and effectively doing everything for yourself is not something I would do again. I expect to have some level of service at a hotel, it just seems so impersonal. I would avoid this kind of hotel experience again.

Wonderfully restored historic hotel. Great atmosphere with the bar/lounge and outdoor patio area.

Room 107, the street light shines perfectly through the tiny crack around the window shade directly into the eye of the person sleeping on the left side of the bed. Luckily there was a long decorative pillow that could be stood in the window to block the light.
Also the little green light on the ceiling is pretty annoying. And the noise from the bar is loud enough to require earplugs.
Otherwise the room was spectacular. Very clean and comfy. The giant mirror was fun.

Was very impressed with hotel. Easy to access and clean.

Parking is limited. Let people know where parking is available prior to their arrival.

Me and my wife had a blast in this beautiful property, attention to details a great asset!!!

Worst hotel I ever booked. No staff. Awkward entry system to hotel and room. Gothic dark. Depressing, horrible paint scheme, no chair to sit in, no water glasses no lobby. Web site wants tip for staff. There is no staff!! Homeless drug addicts hanging around outside. Nightmare.

Everything went well. Liked the bar downstairs.

The staff was incompetent. It is a "key-less" hotel so good luck getting anything you need. The last day the "digital key" ended the stay early and no one answered my calls.

The Hotel Melrose was a super fun, modern stay in a long line of hotels on our road trip. While the staff was not onsite, they were responsive and helpful when I couldn't find a light switch late in the evening. We will definitely visit again.

Melrose was very well appointed! Lovely stay!
The staff was very helpful and attentive and we loved the speakeasy on site!

Quick stay on a longer road trip. Boutique hotel, cute decor with a bar on the main floor. Spacious room, comfy bed, free parking!

Amazing hotel! The bed was very comfortable, nice restaurants around the hotel. Super close to Main Street. Highly recommended.

Easy and unique check in. Lovely rooms, excellent cocktail bar.

We loved the decor of this stylish boutique hotel. However, we struggled with the digital check in - a mixture of user error and a system they admitted wasn’t Expedia-friendly when two-rooms are booked together. Thankfully a manager met us at the property, gave us real keys (with a warning that we’d be charged $50 if we lost them) and free cocktails as compensation for the stress. Probably not a good bet for anyone who isn’t technically adept.

The boutique hotel was just renovated and they did an excellent job. The staff was very nice and hospitable.

Amazing little place with a fantastic speakeasy on the first floor. Beautiful dark midnight blue on midnight blue colored rooms. Extremely pleasant room hubs was very happy.
A bit odd that all check in is remote and you are given a passkey that will be on your phone so I always had to take my phone with. But it told you everything via email and texts, except where to park. (Park in the employee parking area near the speakeasy or in the alley tucked up to the hotel.

Two day stay at The Melrose. Nice, trendy vibe. Room not large but well appointed. Service was outstanding - very responsive and helpful.

It was all done online, there is no front desk and you never see anyone. All is done by app on your phone…kinda different for us.

We loved the virtual check in process. This boutique hotel is great. Quiet, convenient location.

Lacking the necessary furniture every contact is done by phone

This hotel is convenient, comfortable and charming. The bed was excellent. It is walkable to all sorts of shopping and restaurants. I was not prepared (perhaps I didn't see through Expedia or it wasn't there) that I needed to check in on line. I was sent a check in link and all worked fine, just a new experience. I called the property manager to ask a couple simple questions and was attended to right away. I will stay here again on my next visit.

Awesome little hotel! Great location. Definitely would stay here again

Checkin is a bit confusing and small things aren’t quite worked out yet. For instance, they have a closet for hanging up clothes but, no hangers. The rooms are nicely remodeled and the bed is super comfy.
The service at the small bar on site is exceptional and the cocktails are excellent. It is run separate from the hotel but, in my opinion adds value to your stay.
I did like that they have a sweet little bag for taking your soap with you.

It was nice. No Chairs period. Only one nite stand. If we return will probably get a more expensive room. Our basic needs were met but seating was an issue that really took away from our enjoyment. Never dawned on me to confirm seating even Hotel 6 has chairs. Great location to Avalon Theater and Thomas Hunn Jewelers. Not sure about the memory foam beds. They don’t sit well.

Perfect!

I LOVED this hotel. The color scheme for the room was awesome, in my opinion. The exterior is rustic, the inside totally modern retro look. The LED edison bulbs inside
wall sconces support the modern retro look as you walk down the hall. If this was closer, this would be my go to romantic getaway.

What a beautiful boutique hotel. Bartender at the lobby bar was amazing. It truly was 10/10!

Stayed there pre-renovation and loved it because of its charm and haunted history. Stayed again and loved the updates and still curious about any paranormal activity here. This is always my 1st choice if needing a hotel in Grand Junction!

Such a cool place! The manager was amazing and so helpful. Our room was very clean and classy. The bar was a great bonus. We could walk to downtown and parking was easy. Loved it!

Liked the decor and comfort of bed
The bright number light on the split unit was annoying, as was the motion sensored bathroom light. I was fine with keyless entry —but what if my phone died? Then what?
