#HOT TUB JUST ADDED!#
Lake life, all year! No matter what the season, this home on pristine Forest Lake is a must-see for those seeking a comfortable, peaceful home base for their White Mountains vacation. The lake vibe permeates this home every season - with incredible view of the water lapping the small bay in the summer, the peaceful sight of the frozen lake in the winter, not to mention beautiful sunsets and the fiery spectacle of Fall Foliage. Delight in the incredible waterfront lawn, complete with with a screened in and weather-protected sitting area - an amazing place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or read a book right by the water, rain or shine, or enjoy the firepit or a swim in the calm lake waters. Hot dogs by the water? Check, thanks to the outdoor propane grill. Warm up in the hot tub after a refreshing dip? Check, with the newly added outdoor hot tub. A seasonal dock is provided (a great photo-op for kids and adults alike!), and you can use it to jump in the water or take the kayak, canoe, Stand Up Paddle or rowboat provided out for a tour of the beautiful mountain lake - maybe you can spot a bald eagle, a loon, or even a moose? And if you enjoy fishing, you'll be delighted to know that the lake is host to a number of species of trout, bass, and bluegill. Fishing is common year round, and ice fishing is quite popular in the winter as well!
Inside, you will be greeted by an open concept living space with a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area, accented by a propane stove to cozy up to weather gets chilly. On the same level, you will find a primary bedroom with king bed, a private bathroom with tiled shower and Toto Washlet toilet/bidet combo. Start your day right by waking up to a beautiful view of the lake! Head upstairs to find 3 more bedrooms, a bathroom with double sinks and tiled shower/tub combo, and a laundry room with modern washer and dryer, iron and folding table. The bedrooms feature 2 twin beds, 2 twin over twin bunk beds, and a queen bed, respectively.
While spending all your time at the lake may be tempting, don't forget to venture out and visit the area! It has so much to offer, no matter what the season. In the winter, you can snowmobile right across the lake and access the area's extensive snowmobile trail, with amazing terrain of all types, or head to one of the nearby ski resorts for some downhill or alpine fun - from Bretton Woods, consistently top rated for snow and scenery, less than 30 minutes away, to the challenging slopes of Cannon, 25 minutes away, or Wildcat, 1 hour away. For a local experience, you will love the quick 10 minute ride to Littleton, a New England gem that was recently voted one of the 10 best small town main streets in America - full of quaint shops, art galleries, and fantastic restaurants and breweries. Visit one of our many great parks, from Franconia Notch (25 minutes away) to Crawford Notch or the White Mountains National Forest, or take a ride up Mount Washington on the oldest cog rail in the world, or visit Santa's Village or one of the many other local attractions - all within an hour drive! For the golfers, there are multiple nearby options - from the award winning courses at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, to the Mountain View Grand, to the Maplewood golf course in nearby Bethlehem, just 12 minutes away. Yes, we know - there is a ton to do, no matter what the season, so why not stay a little longer? Our rates get cheaper the longer you stay, so take an extra day off and make memories that will last a lifetime!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the house. The new hot tub right outside the master bedroom is wonderful, you can sit and watch the lake. Lots to see in the lake while paddling around, fish, snails lots of ducks and loons. The kids loved the lake and how close it was to the house. There is a small dirt road that they have to cross to get to the lake but only 6 cars drove by the whole day so it wasnt a problem with older kids. We really enjoyed our time and plan on staying again

The write-up and pictures don't do this property justice! It well exceeded our expectations... which were already pretty high! Comfortable layout that allowed everyone to have "me time" to chill or coming together around a big table or sofa to chat. Just four adults in our group who were interested in relaxing indoors and hiking/touring around the beautiful countryside. Were so distracted by all the location had to offer that the TV wasn't ever used! While the house and property are outstanding, a bonus was the house facing east which was perfect for watching the sunrise come up across the lake. Location was excellent to be out from hustle and bustle, but yet just a few miles to the small city that had shopping, dining, and great lobster rolls + ice cream shops. This unit is definitely staying on our list as a place to return to in the future.

House with simply amazing, beautiful, clean and comfortable. We were all her for a ski trip. Loved the gas stove and the openness of the kitchen/living room. There is nothing better then a view of a lake watching Snowmobiler zoom by. There was plenty of room to stretch out, beds were great, really comfortable. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The master bathroom was something else !!! The toilet was a great investment !!! Thank you for letting us stay at your home. We made some great memories :)

The reviews for this property are spot on. A beautiful location with a well-maintained rental. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Would recommend arriving in the daylight. The area, while not isolated is off the beaten path. We arrived in darkness, and while GPS took us right to the house the area is unlit, making it a little difficult to find you way around the property. Go to the second driveway (which we did not see until morning) and entry will be easy. We had to call the help line the second day because the entry code was not working but Vacasa was able to quickly resolve the problem. All in all, we had a great stay.

This home is very well maintained and has updated features. (Stainless steel appliances, bathrooms are lovely, comfy beds)The cleanliness was 5 star. We were 4 adults over 70 and really enjoyed this comfortable home for a couple of days. It was Mid October and weather was cloudy, rainy and chilly, therefore we didn’t use any of the outdoor activities such as canoeing, kayaking, swimming in the lake, fire pit or skateboarding. This is a wonderful place for a couple of young families with children to spend a week or two vacation.
4.8
the house was very clean, very spacious. The location was beautiful. the only suggestions are to bring paper goods as they only give you 1 roll of paper towels and 3-4 dishwashing cubes and only 1 trash bag. talked to property manager who was supposed to come bring more but never did. though it sleeps 10 they only provide 4 wine glasses. overall loved it and great time with family. will hope to book for next year.

Comfortable, nicely decorated cottage. Due to weather we did not use the water sports equipment but it looked like a fun time if you had little ones. So glad they had high speed streaming instead of cable.

Beautiful lakeside house with all the toys. Clean modern and fun spot to enjoy all the north country has to offer. We loved the kayaks and canoe. Brought our boat and did some fishing. Just a comfortable and fun stay.

Some coffee and sugar would have been a nice touch
Had a great time

The house was very clean with specious moden open concept kitchen. The view was stunning.

Very comfortable and secluded. Awesome sunrise on the lake. Set up for enjoying quality time together or a peaceful retreat.

Home was very spacious, peaceful and beautiful. Great view and access to the lake. Bring your own tinfoil and spices if cooking.

Our family had a great time the Forest Lake home and recommend it highly to anyone considering a stay there. The house was in excellent condition - very clean with a high end kitchen area and bathrooms. The views on the lake were beautiful with mountain peaks in the background. We even sat in the porch area which was very comfortable, even in winter. We skied every day at Bretton Woods, which was an easy and scenic 25 minute drive. If you are interested in skiing Canon, it is even closer. Our family has been visiting the Mt Washington region for 15 years and this house is conveniently near the main attractions, especially Santa's Village and the Omni Mt Washington Hotel / Bretton Woods resort. Bethlehem is an easy 15 minute drive and Littleton only 20 minutes for additional restaurants or breweries (Rek-lis is especially worth visiting). Overall we highly recommend the Lake Forest house as a great vacation home for just hanging out to enjoy the lakefront view or easy access to the surrounding area. The communication with Vacasa was excellent with easy access and security to the house. There was plenty of parking as well!

The house feels new and was a great size for 5 of us. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the view of the lake is beautiful. My only suggestion would be to add bedside lamps.

We had a wonderful stay in Whitefield! We loved the layout of the house, cleanliness and location! The addition of the toys and books was an amazing surprise for the kids!
The downstairs bed squeaks- to the point that we couldn’t really sleep and the television was very small (which we knew because it was a critique from a past review). We wish that there were blinds/ shades because at night you can see right into the living room/kitchen area- but it didn’t affect our fun or stay because it’s a quiet street.
Overall, we had a ton of fun- and would recommend the house to others.
4.8
We had a bit of a difficulty getting into the property, as the codes did not work. Communication with the property management was a bit difficult, as they did not seem to fully understand the problem. Finally, after waiting over an hour in the rain, the local contact, Rick, (nice guy) rushed in to help. A deadbolt was left on, and he was able to correct the situation for us. After that rough start, everything else was great. Spacious, clean house on a dead end with great views of the pond. Sitting at the fire pit at night and listening to the loons was pretty magical.
4.8
House is clean and well furnished. Location is great with lake on one side and a great private back yard for hanging out. Went with 5 friends in late October and it was plenty of room for the 6 of us. We could have comfortably fit a few more people if needed.
Only suggestion would be to bring your spices if you’re cooking. Otherwise kitchen well equipped. Also, the one night we were watching a baseball playoff game and TV is comically small. For how nice the rest of the house is that would be a trivial upgrade.
Overall very happy with our stay.
4.8
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house! The house itself is clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the paddle boards, kayak and canoe included with the rental.
4.8
This home was every bit as gorgeous as it appears in the photos, and the surrounding grounds and lake are even lovelier than promised. We loved the region, especially downtown Littleton and the neighbors were all friendly and helpful. We're looking forward to staying in this region again in the future, but we will not ever book with Vacasa again.
First impressions: the house was beautiful, sunny and well appointed as far as towels went. However, there were a few obvious issues from the get-go.
First, the bed in the master bedroom was broken upon arrival. We were still able to use it, but it felt unsafe, and it was uncomfortable and extremely noisy. Then in the living room, we discovered that the disproportionately small television (not a big deal, it just looked kind of silly on the large wall) had no remote control anywhere to be found. The next issue was that, in preparation for a 10 day stay at $700+ a night, Vacasa only saw fit to leave us 3 dishwasher pods, a 4 oz bottle of dishwashing fluid, and 3 garbage bags. The garbage issue was compounded when we realized we could not find find any outdoor garbage cans, nor any instructions with what to do with the garbage.
We called Vacasa to ask for assistance and they told us they would bring out some outdoor garbage containers for us to use, and also info about where we could find the TV remote or if they could supply one. It took days before they took any steps to address these issues. While we waited for them to arrive with garbage cans, we finally caved and had to put our garbage outside to avoid smelling up the house, and animals got into it, so we spent one of our vacation mornings cleaning that up. Finally, halfway through our time at the house, they arrived with a remote control and batteries and told us the garbage cans we needed had actually been in the shed only accessible by a hidden key the whole time. The oven took literally hours to come up to temperature, and we still aren't sure if it was broken or just inefficient. The icemaker in the fridge also didn't work. The propane tank was nearly empty and a new one had to be brought out with the remote control. And while the house smelled clean upon arrival, the sunroom was covered in crumbs, which was strange.
In short, this is a gorgeous property and despite the many irritations that came up because of poor/neglectful management, we had a lovely time. But honestly, I have paid much less for owner-run vacation houses that were cleaner, more well appointed and more helpfully managed. Vacasa did this house a disservice by cutting corners in ridiculous ways, like not giving us basic information or items like sufficient garbage bags. Forest Lake is a lovely place, but be mindful of who you book with when you stay there.

My husband is from Littleton, NH so we were excited to bring our friends up to see his town and enjoy all the fun NH has to offer. The house was located right by our friends house on the lake and it was PERFECT! The layout of the bedrooms for 2 families worked out really well. The kitchen was the perfect gathering place to both cook and socialize in. The front porch was amazing and perfect for relaxing and playing games. Having a front yard for the kids and dog was great. We had the best time and would love to be able to stay again! It was so convenient to family and friends but also nice to have our own space. From the Littleton co op to main street shopping to the hiking and of course, Santa's Village. We had the best time! Thank you, NH!

Nicely stocked and roomy property with plenty of amenities. Seven family and friends along with 2 dogs stayed at this Whitefield NH location for an April Birthday celebration.
There was plenty of room for all and we were very impressed by how clean the house was in addition to all the supplies available to make it a nice stay. All the utensils including pots & pans, plates, place settings and drink ware was available to make our stay homey and comfortable. The road to the cabin was a bit rugged but the house had a nice view in a quiet waterfront neighborhood.
There was an issue with the washing machine but it was resolved within a couple of hours due to the management teams quick response (Thanks Parker)
