Book a house boat and stay the night rather than booking a hotel/hostel.

It was a nice heritage place, but we were looking for a more vibrant place to stay. The owner and caretaker were really friendly and welcoming. So loved that.

This place was dimly lit and didn’t have a very young vibe. It was for those who want to have a laid back experience. If I may it felt more of a horror film setup, so our group was terrified, just kidding. We immediately thought of the song Hotel California, you can checkout annytime you like, but can never leave!! Again kidding. Good place for oldies but not for us. Also it’s a little expensive.

Amazing place, beautiful house, great common areas, cool vibes and friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!!!

Great!

Loved the staff, they were so helpful and kind. Such a cool building for a hostel, it was worth staying just to see the building. There are loads of nice communal areas and it’s very relaxed and peaceful.

Only one bathroom so had to wait sometimes, but it was kept very clean so that’s ok! Lots of mosquitos too but I think all of Alleppey is like that.

Very clean and friendly

That's the cleanest and more comfortable hostel I've been too, very recommended. The staff is very friendly and help you around with everything you need, included organized trips to the backwaters.

Positively marvellous stay at Ameer’s.

A quaint and cosy colonial building. The dorm was sparkling clean. Toilet and showers clean. AC is available in the dorm for an extra fee. All the beds had a reading lamp and a plug, Ameer pulled out all the stops to ensure we had a fabulous time. Excellent hospitality. He is such a warm and kind person. He was able to organise a boat ride at a moment’s notice. He was quick to respond on WhatsApp. I recommend cafe catamaran for chilling.

We travelled in a group but it would be a good idea to have lockers in the dorm if you are sharing with strangers.

Great stay, but I wish they would level up the prices for female va male dorms!

I liked the space at this hostel, and it had a friendly vibe, the staff are friendly and helpful. You could probably do with an extra bathroom for the number of people if you’re busy.

I’m a little confused as to why it is significantly more expensive for a female only dorm than a men only? When I tried to re book a night here this bothered me quite a lot. Why should women pay more to have a same sex dorm? In 2024 this feels a little outdated.

Beautiful house in a great location not too far from the beach or the town center and not too noisy. The staff is super helpful with any questions.

One of the best stays in Kerala.

Everything is perfect about this place. From native architectural design to peaceful location. It's close to the beach and I didn't have any difficulty with anything. I had a comfortable stay, would love to visit and stay here for longer.

Amazing Hostel

Very charming hostel in an old colonial style building. Rooms are spacious and very clean. There is also a common room and a nice garden. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They arranged a fabulous backwater canoe tour with local food. Would book it again anytime.

Only little demerit was that they accept no card payment so far (December 2023), only cash or payment via UPI.

It’s a new property hence the lack of reviews, trust all the good ones received it’s not a placed to be missed!

I had a great experience here. It’s such an amazing, old, beautiful property and fascinating to explore the various rooms you can relax in. The staff and owners are lovely and I felt very welcomed from the first minute I arrived. They will also go out of their way to help you out with various traveller tasks.

The AC broke during the night but it couldn’t be helped and the team sorted it first thing next morning.

Just Perfect!!

It is a quaint mansion in a quiet residential area. The staff were very helpful and made my stay very wonderful. I would recommend it to everyone.

It was an unforgettable experience. Definitely coming back here.

The entire stay was amazing. The hotel is conveniently situated near Alappy Beach, which is one of Kerala's most stunning beaches. The local community around the property was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made our outdoor experience even better. The staff was exceptionally attentive, offering valuable assistance as we settled in. I am truly amazed by the property's charm and ambiance, being a meticulously preserved old English house. I cannot wait to come here again with more of my friends and experience more of this wonderful property and place.

A boutique stay in Alleppey!

The hostel is a very premium place. It is extremely spacious and you will never run out of things to do here. The hosts are very friendly and I got to meet amazing travelers here. The food and the history of the beautiful property comes highly recommended.
