About this house rental
Perched atop a hill on five gorgeous acres, Rancho Santuario is a stunning five bedroom Spanish oasis retreat. Centrally located on the well-known Refugio Road, this newly remodeled masterpiece is the very definition of luxury. The sweeping views of the Santa Ynez Valley and Figueroa Mountains are absolutely breathtaking. Rancho Santuario is perfect for outdoor living and entertaining, with a built-in gas barbecue and imported wood-burning pizza oven. You can dine outdoors at the large teak al fresco table or relax in the polished outdoor lounge furniture overlooking the beautiful salt water, infinity pool, with spa.
The six-bedroom home is casual yet sophisticated, with an entertainment system, expansive gourmet chef’s kitchen, large center island and large dining room table for twelve — all with mountain views. The private master suite has three balconies, a large walk-in closet, separate sitting room, steam shower and bath with — you guessed it — mountain views. Numerous fruit trees pepper the property (pomegranate, orange, peach, apple, lemon), as do gorgeous ancient oaks. A barn with stables and numerous riding rings grace the property, adding further charm to this exceptional estate. Nestled halfway between Santa Ynez and Los Olivos, you’re five minutes to these quaint towns with restaurants, tasting rooms, and of course, the wineries beyond. The area is perfect for outdoor activities including horseback riding, hiking, bicycling and is just fifteen minutes from Lake Cachuma and Alisal Golf Club. This is a perfect getaway offering the best of the Santa Ynez Valley.
***Prior to the recent Santa Barbara County ordinance restricting short term rentals (31 days or less), this home has always been rented as a 6 bedroom property, accommodating up to 12 adults. Current code only allows 6 adults ( in 3 bedrooms)—additional children are allowed, up to maximum of 10. We abide by this ordinance. Rentals of 31 days or more allow up to 12 adults. We want to accurately disclose that this home is larger than a 3 bedroom home, for those seeking 31 days or more rentals

We had such an amazing stay. This is truly the most gorgeous house and property - it's in a central location, has plenty of space including an unreal pool and view, and is just lovely, clean, and relaxing. Wendy was so responsive and helpful! We can't wait to visit again!

Our son got married in Santa Ynez and we booked this house for the family. From beginning to end everything was perfect. Wendy was responsive to every inquiry and request. Arrival and entry were smooth and the property and views were priceless. We all had a great time and would certainly stay there again if we are up in the area.

This place is so beautiful! So much better than in the pictures! Lots of room inside and outside. We wished we had more days to enjoy all the outdoor amenities. Very relaxing, quiet and great location to Solvang and nearby towns. So much to do, you will nott be disappointed!

The house and property and the location were perfect. The bocce court, the pizza oven were such cool additions to the house. The kitchen is a central meeting space and although there is just one oven we were able to make do. The only problem was the heater on the hot tub broke during our stay. I understand they are buying a new one so it shouldn't be a problem moving forward. The manager did everything she could and we were appreciative of her help in trying to get it working. It all worked out in the end. We will for sure stay here again! Thank you for opening up your home.

This was the 2nd time we stayed here as an extended family from toddlers, to teenagers and grandparents in 70s. Beautiful home - out of a Restoration Hardware catalog, comfy sheets and beds, great expansive kitchen, lots of couches and indoor seating area (we were there during rainy winter), and great layout with 2 master beds. Pam always takes care of you too. Will definitely come back!

What a wonderful time we had at the Rancho! My wife and I planned a trip to take our daughter as well as a few friends and their young children and had the most incredible weekend. Despite the heat wave that was gripping the state, we stayed cool and happy all day in the incredible infinity pool, and spent all night cooking amazing dinners and sharing stories. Everything about the experience was perfect, and Pam was the consummate host--quick to respond, and always extremely helpful. I'm hesitant to recommend only because I want to be sure we can book again in the future, but I can assure anyone that they won't regret it!

After spending 3 amazing nights at Rancho Santaurio, to say that we didn't want to leave is an understatement. Rancho Santaurio is even better than we could have imagined. It's such a gorgeous, spacious and serene oasis to get away to and spend quality time with friends or family, which is exactly what we did.
We throuoghly enjoyed our stay. The pool, jacuzzi and outdoors are simply stunning and so easy to enjoy. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting. The ranch itself is spectacular - there are so many areas to sneak off to and read a book or to watch the wildlife or to take a nap. The big kitchen was awesome and well-appointed and made it easy for our 5 couples to stand around the island to enjoy wonderful food, conversation and friends.
The location is perfect, too, as you are so close to Los Olivos, Santa Ynez and the many wineries, restaurants, farmstands, grocery stores, etc. that are just a few minutes away.
There are a few minor things can be improved and having addressed them already with Pam, I am confident everything will be amazing when we come back for another visit next Summer.
Thank you, Pam, for making it so easy to work with you and your team. You were a pleasure to communicate with. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the ranch by booking more than just a weekend. 3 nights went by too quickly. Trust us! You won't regret it ;)

This home is centrally located in Santa Ynez Valley with exquisite views of Figueroa Mountain. One of the bedrooms and baths is actually in the barn, detached from the main house. Think of it as a barndominium. Would stay again.

We absolutely loved our trip to this beautiful home. The views were phenomenal and we were able to catch the sunrise each morning from the back outdoor space. The kitchen is so well equipped and the grill was great for our dinner in. I'd suggest to others traveling in the area to arrange a car service for dinners out, as we had a tough time with ubers and didn't want to be drinking then driving, or even better, have a fun lunch in one of the cute towns and utilize the amazing kitchen and outdoor space for dinners.
The location is very central to Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Solvang, and only about 30 minutes to Santa Barbara. There's an organic veggie stand at the end of the driveway that had the most beautiful produce you could purchase and then venmo the farmer!
The bedrooms were super comfortable and we had all the towels, extra blankets, etc we could need. For clarification, there are 5 bedrooms inside the home with the 6th located in the barn. It took us a bit to find the bedroom in the barn and that would've been a peaceful retreat. There are 2 bedrooms with a private en suite bathroom and 2 bedrooms share a jack and jill bedroom. There's a powder room off the kitchen area.
In all, we loved our space and would be delighted to return. It was the perfect space for our girls' trip of 6 women and we had plenty of space to catch up. Highly recommend!

We have stayed at this house twice now for our annual family Christmas gathering. It is a great house. We love dealing with the property manager Pam, who is responsive and helpful. The house is perfect for us and the location is fantastic. Lots to do in the area - wine tasting, Los Olivos, Solvang for the kids, etc. We will be back.
