Quiet place, easy to check in and well organized! Parking is as expected in LA.

Garbage. No bed available when I got there and never responded to make things right. I had no where to sleep and everyone there was very unusual. Very unpleasant. Stole my money no refund no response.

Affordable way to stay in LA. the bed has curtain for privacy.

I was told to vacate the property over false claims that I got into it with other residents (I never so much as said hello to anyone other than the manager & vice versa) after I spent one night out of thirty that I paid for ($1080). Then, was told that I cannot get my money back. I work as a nursing assistant & work hard for what I have. That kind of unprofessionalism was uncalled for and I feel robbed and taken advantage of. Beware!

Property managers aren't interested in proper service. Will risk leaving someone out to get assaulted if they aren't of a certain class. Discriminate against people carrying their life's possessions. I would not recommend the major thoroughfare/area around residential area for tourists going to downtown...AT YOUR OWN RISK/DISCRETION.

This place locks its doors at 11. So if you leave there’s no way to get back in. I was locked out the property all night and never even slept. They offered no refund or rebooking. NEVER BOOK HERE!

Absolutely horrendous. The bathroom was filthy the moment I got there to my last day. 24 guests share only two bathrooms. You would think as much money they make, they would keep the place clean but it’s so nasty you cannot make this up. One of the nastiest hostels in LA
House manager/janitor is a little clueless, maybe this is not the right job for him/her. The fruit cup passed out dirty towels and bed sheets and randomly entered rooms im middle of night to control air.
Strong odor of piss throughout home.
I will be sleeping on the street before I try this one again.

Any hotel or hostel allows you to stay in property after checkout, this one demanded I get off the property, causing me wait in the heat outside, then have a heat stroke and be hospitalized for lifethreatening medical complications. Do not stay here, the staff is awful and abusive.

Nice place, private gate. I was here two days and I wish I could have stayed longer

It was a good I only stay one night

The area is ok, I didn’t feel like I couldn’t walk back alone at night, it was more like I shouldn’t. I did though.
The hostel itself was decent, the mixed dorms were nicer than the female only dorm (mixed dorms had code lockers, the female only had school style lockers that couldn’t be locked). The house the hostel is in is older and could use a good deep clean - nothing egregious just definitively not clean. The water kind of tasted weird when brushing teeth, maybe old pipes, and the showers had weak water pressure.
They did have a luggage storage area with a camera pointing at it in the foyer. Each bed has a bin in the big fridge for any food you want to store there. They have reasonable quiet hours, it’s just some guests didn’t follow them and none of the staff enforced it. The staff stay in the hostel, too, and I had one of the staff barge into the room I was in after a clear night of drinking, speaking so loudly with a friend that it woke me at 2:30am.

I had an excellent stay at Burlington Hostel. This was almost the perfect place to stay. The Hostel itself was fantastic with excellent Interior Design ideas I was very impressed by. The landscaping in the backyard did need work though.
It was such a fantastic stay as far as the others staying at the hostel. Everyone appeared to be comfortable while staying there, and they were definitely very friendly. I enjoyed the communication I was able to have with those I did have conversations with.
Management in my opinion had much to do with the positive energy, and environment of Burlington.
This was the first hostel I’ve stayed at, and a very good if not better first impression of hostels.
