About this villa rental
Palazzo Santa Croce, standing on a rock directly above Positano's bay was built as a small monastery. During the baroque period (1700) it became enriched with elegant antique furniture and sought after objects from painted ceilings to lacquered doors giving it a museum feel like atmosphere. The villa is set amongst a series of terraces offering stunning views of the whole city of Positano and a fragrance garden (lemon trees and bougainvilleas).
From the main entrance you will access the main terrace with stunning views of Positano. The terrace is linked to three other entrances: the kitchen, the dining room and a waiting room and the staircase.
The kitchen is a mixture of old and new styles with a big baroque pantry and modern technology facilities such as microwave, fridge/freezer, and gas hob. There is also a bread and pizza oven.
The dining room is composed of two rooms one room with dining table and chairs seating (8-10 people) and the second room with sofas and a library with a good selection of antique books and paintings.
On the lower floor there are spa facilities with its own separate entrance where you will find an inside heated pool (3 m x 8 m depth from 1.20m to 1.94m) and a jacuzzi. The Calidarium and Frigidarium rooms have been replaced by a sauna and steam room (hammam) with space for two showers and a massage table. There is access to a terrace with a solarium and outside Jacuzzi.
On the first floor there are two main suites with decorated ceilings. The first suite has a balcony with terrace with view on Positano's beach and is equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, hair dryer, a safe, a minibar, heating, TV/plasma/LCD and Wi-fi. The second suite is characterised by a sloped ceiling with typical wooden beams and also has same amenities as the first suite. Both suites have en-suite bathroom (shower unit, WC)
On the second floor there are two double rooms with wooden beams with en suite bathrooms (shower). There is also a single room on this level. There is a bathroom near this room on the same floor (shower). All rooms have TV and air conditioning/heating.
Facilities: kitchen with Pizza oven, gas hob, fridge, Jacuzzi (4.25 m x 1.10m), washing machine, hair dryers, sauna, indoor heated pool. Pets allowed on request.
