For over 10 yrs, I rented the pick house...3 houses down on Coast Blvd. I was so happy to find this house in the area I love. Everything was great. The responses were very quick with questions and needs. Suggestions are:
provide very basic office type needs, like pen, pencil, note paper. Updated city/town info. Upgrade beach chairs/beach umbrellas.
Sweeteners (sugar, etc.) stir stick, by coffee bar.
Very minor changes to a delightful experience! We will be back and please notify if any last minute deals!!

We loved this house. It has a great location across from the water where you can hear the waves from most of the house and watch stunning sunsets from the adirondack chairs on the porch, or take the great "backpack" beach chairs down to the beach (literally across the street) and watch from there. The beds were comfy with high quality linens and bedrooms were air conditioned (rest of house had fans and ocean breezes from open windows). Outdoor shower in back was another nice touch (though would've been great if it were enclosed, and not visible from next door neighbor's upstairs windows). We didn't much use the back patio because it was very hot when we were there but it's a nice alternative outdoor space (we spent most of our time on the porch and front lawn). Kitchen wasn't large but was very functional with good knives, pots, and pans (and unfortunately a few ants, though it's a common beach house problem in socal). Unlike many other rentals, there were basically no condiments, coffee, or other "starter" basics (other than some sea salt and coffee filters). Had a few glitches at checkin (door code did not work) but SeaBreeze was generally responsive and sent someone promptly to assist, as well as sending a technician for some wifi assistance. The screens could use some repairs and the windowsills could've been cleaner at checkin, but again, I think this is part and parcel of a beach property. Overall we loved our stay and were so sad to leave (would've been there longer if home hadn't gotten booked while we were deciding on property). Hope to be back soon!

Almost perfect. I would prefer not allowing large vans to park in front of the house for more than 24 hours.

Had a great stay, host very responsive.

This property is prime! Charming cottage with amazing view. Sitting on the front porch watching surfers, sea lions and dolphins was the highlight. The backyard was cozy and comfortable. Easy to walk to town and meals. Easy check in process and very comfortable sleeping (how can you not sleep well with the sounds of the ocean waves). The cottage is well stocked with kitchen supplies, bedding and towels. The rental agency was easy and friendly to work with. We will definitely stay here again (and again). Don’t hesitate booking this cottage…do it. You won’t regret it.

This place was amazing! Austin was great and so helpful with any questions we had with quick responses. The house is so cute and is a perfect break from all the super modern square homes around it. It is still the original home that was built in 1930! With updates of course, but it definitely still has the charm and elegance you would imagine the area almost 100 years ago. The home is very clean comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was amazing. The grounds are so well taken care of. Wake up and see the beautiful ocean and dolphins playing from the front porch. It is within walking distance of everything! Literally right across the street from the tide pools which was so amazing! We saw an octopus the first day! A super short walk away you can see the seals and all their pups lounging on the beach. Walk to breakfast, coffee, shopping, the beach for swimming, dinner… everything! We loved it! Loved it so much we are talking about make it an annual stay in that home. I think it would be super cool if there was a little info about the home’s history since it is the original home. I think it would be fun to have a little something for the guests to write in to tell the future guests about an exciting experience they had so it could give them a tip about exploring the area if it’s their first time in the area.
Don’t hesitate! Stay here!

The location of this property is perfect. We stayed during cool temps in January and there is no heat in the house except gas fireplace in living room. Took local agent 3 days to get back to us and bring space heaters.

Furnace does not work, so there was no heat during stormy and cold nights. Dishwasher doesn’t work, garbage compactor did not work, so basically, the appliances are rather a mess in the kitchen. Terrible, toilet paper, paper towels, like from a gas station, no cleaning supplies, so we had to buy our own. Here No hot water, at best very spotty and incredibly slow. No dressers in your bedrooms for folded clothes,, no suitcase stands, so you have to have your things all over the floor., Inadequate electrical and blew fuses because of it. Propane tank ran out and was not replenished on the back patio fire table. Jacuzzi was pretty gross. It’s a beautiful location but cannot recommend nor would I go back unless they renovate.

This is our second time staying in the house. You can't beat the location and the view, perfect for enjoying sunsets, the cove and the village. The outdoor furniture in the backyard is a recent upgrade, much appreciated. More TLC is needed inside. The furnace was not working (maintenance was alerted) and the dishwasher is useless. We used the gas fireplace for heat in the main room but had to run out to purchase a lighter. The kitchen is ok for breakfast and small meals but not well equipped in general if you're staying a while. Beds are comfortable. It would be helpful to have more bathroom and kitchen towels. Laundry machines work well but no detergent or softener provided.

Cute house with tons of character just feet from the ocean.

The location of this house is spectacular! A wonderful view of the beach/surf from the front porch day and night. The back yard is nicely appointed and comfortable if you want to get out of the late afternoon sun, but the pump for the hot tub runs periodically and is quite noisy.
The house is very dated but a little TLC could turn this into a 5 star property. A/C is only in 2 of the bedrooms. On a hot day, this house is very warm / uncomfortable anywhere other than the 2 bedrooms. 3rd bdrm is too hot. If the weather is mild, just open the windows and enjoy the La Jolla weather. The dishes were a little dirty and needed to be re-washed before use. The dishwasher is mostly useless and does not clean. The ice maker was broken, but Vacasa sent out a repairman to address. Since he needed to order replacement parts, he was unable to fix during the stay, but I expect that will be repaired before long. The floors were very dirty. They need a good mop job. We complained, so they sent someone to sweep again. Just a basic kitchen broom, no mop. Could still feel a little sand under our bare feet. I wiped the floor with a damp paper towel, and it was nasty. One of the interior doors, and the front door are tough to open and need a handyman to address. The hedges had some spider webbing of some kind on top of them, but otherwise the exterior was I good shape.
This house is close enough to walk to the lovely shops and restaurants in La Jolla, or just enjoy a stroll along the beachfront.

This house is perfectly located for ocean views or walking to eating/shopping establishments. Also, perfect for sitting on the front porch and throwing the ball for your pooch. House was very clean and the house manager was very responsive with a few questions we had. Will definitely return.

Outside of being the best La Jolla location we have stayed at, you could spend all day just sitting on the front porch looking at the sea. The hot tub was an added bonus. Thank you and we will be back.

Nice home that ‘s older. Right across the street from the beach. Walkable distance to town. The house was comfortable. However it took awhile to find light switches and to figure out the heating and cooling systems. The baroque grill was in good working order and the hot tube was a nice addition.

This charming bungalow was the perfect spot for two couples escaping the heat of the Phoenix area in late June. The front porch was awesome, with plenty of cushioned Adirondack chairs and a direct unobstructed view of the Pacific and gorgeous sunsets directly across the street. Although we enjoyed perfect weather (highs around 70), it was nice to have the split AC units in each of the two main bedrooms to keep the rooms from getting stuffy at night (the master bedroom didn't have any windows that opened). The house had a few minor idiosyncrasies due to age and deferred maintenance (as well as the second bathroom being very compact), but those were overcome by the relaxation and comfort the home afforded - including an amazing hot tub in the back courtyard. The house was within walking distance of everything in town, as well as a large stretch of beachfront including a busy seal/sea lion landing area, and a large grocery store was just 0.7 miles away. It would be hard to imagine a better location for a vacation rental in all of La Jolla.
5.0
The property could not be in a better location. Walking distance to downtown La Jolla, across the street from a rocky beach, easy walk to see the seals. It was a quick drive from here to all the San Diego sites we wanted to see with our toddler (Zoo, Children’s Museum, etc.) and made for a great home base. The house itself was very comfortable and clean, but if you are planning to do much cooking, the bottom rack of the dishwasher did not clean well at all and is either clogged or needs replacing. There also was no oil/salt/pepper around, or laundry detergent that we could find (we left some for the next guests). The only real problem we had was with the property manager. We had repeated issues ahead of the trip where we would call with a simple question, then get abandoned on hold for 25+ minutes with no response. Email similarly got answered a week later. Also had an issue where we had paid to rent a pack and play for our toddler to sleep in, and it wasn’t there the night we arrived so we had to buy one at Target (again, left at the house for the next guest should someone need one). I would 100% still stay at this property again, I would just plan to not rely on the property manager for anything.

Nice house for two people and a two small dogs. Very quiet with wonderful views of the surf. We've been coming for years.

We had a fantastic stay! This was a stunning house right next to the beach. The house is fully stocked and the rooms are beautiful.

We love sitting on the porch and watching the waves roll in. Great location and nice layout of the cottage. Needs some tlc.

This cottage was splendid from the moment we stepped through the side gate and walked through the brick passageway by the inviting back patio through the side kitchen door to be greeted by the sights snd sounds of the majestic surf right outside the windows. Breathtaking and causing this California beach loving girl joyous tears. I immediately found myself on the first of six Adirondack chairs on the porch calling friends and family and texting pics.
We loved every moment of our short, three-day stay and hope to return some day.

Can't beat the location. No red curtains as pictured on the front porch. Numerous windows wouldn't open. Screens broken or missing all together and loaded with flies. Pots and pans were non-stick but the coating was penetrated and should have been disposed of; what little there was. Inadequate amount of fans. Water fall into hot tub didn't work. Outdoor shower wouldn't drain. Outside sitting area (back yard) you sunk so low in the chairs, we needed to help one another out of them. Minimal amount of kitchen accessories and were all mismatched. Dining room chairs horribly uncomfortable. Tiny shampoo, conditioner and soaps provided. 4 beach towels? No house manual. Garage light stayed on all night which overly illuminated the back yard area. Ran out of propane so had to switch gas fire pit tank for BBQ tank. 3rd bedroom day bed extremely uncomfortable.

This home is aptly named. We had a wonderful time and hope to return next year!

Wonderful location right on a beautiful beach
Very comfortable furnishings in the house and good kitchen
A bit hard to reach the vacation managers Vacasa by phone or text as the garbage never got emptied
But overall really nice stay

We stayed in this house for a month in July and it was amazing. We spent several hours on the front porch every day listening to the waves, watching surfers, dolphins, and sea lions. The street in front of the house has slow traffic, mostly surfers and families. It was just enough activity to be interesting but not bothersome. The house is close enough to the shops and restaurants to walk.
The kitchen has been updated and 2 of the bedrooms are roomy and have A/C. The 3rd bedroom is very small and has no A/C, but with the windows open it never got above 75 in that room. The courtyard with the hot tub was also a nice area to relax. We loved it here and plan to come back!
3.0
We loved the location and the charm of this home, but there were numerous issues. The old sub zero refrigerator worked some times and at other times stopping cooling. We lost food and medicine. The microwave was on its last leg and cooked unevenly. The kitchen could be stocked better for there were no baking sheets, cake or bread pans, pie dishes, hand mixer, and not much silverware, etc. The vacuum didn’t work. There is so much dust on fans, beams, and shelves that it triggered our allergies. The lawn care company came to service the home and sprayed Roundup on lawn where the kids were playing. We stopped them from doing this throughout the entire outdoor area, but we wondered why this was done while we were staying there and why they decided to spray the Roundup when they saw the kids playing on the front lawn. Not all the windows would open in the living room, which made this very warm. AC is only in 2 of 3 bedrooms, so having the windows open is needed. The window in kids room would not lock, which made it uncomfortable to have the kids sleep there. The property management company was easy to get a hold of but having actions taken took much longer. We received a mini frigerator at the end of stay, which helped. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. We would rent again if the items were fixed and the property was maintained better for the location is terrific and we loved this home. We wondered, if the owner is aware their property is not in good shape since it is being maintained by a management company.

Loved the porch! My favorite spot. We were greeted by a seal the day we arrived when we walked over to the beach. Many seals in the area. The location cannot be beat. It’s directly across a street that leads to the tide pools of La Jolla. We walked to all stores and restaurant which are about half mile or more away.
The living room and outdoor furniture are weathered and worn.
I did send several messages through VRBO days before arrival date and never got any response from property manager. Had to call them on phone after 5 days not responding. Vacasa is the managing company. Once you check-in Vacasa was great. Kept getting texts to touch base.
You can fit two cars in the driveway. We fit a minivan a and a Jetta. If you have a third car there are some spots on the street but look at parking signs restrictions. The third bedroom has a daybed with two twins that are separate. They cannot be joined together.
We were 3 couples and had a great time. The backyard too is a plus.
Thank you to the owners for opening up the space for others.
