Absolutely beautiful home! Plenty of room for everyone and kitchen nicely equipped for the nights we wanted to stay in! Great neighborhood for morning walks and a short drive to shopping etc. Would highly recommend!

Cabin is in a quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. We had no trouble getting Uber/Lyft to and from downtown. House is very nice and more than large enough for our group of 4. Communication with hosts was very good and check-in procedures were very simple. Overall a great stay!

We loved every minute of being in the MorningStar cabin. Everything was as pictured in the listing. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of space for the 6 of us. Easy access to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. The views were great and the outside space was very lovely and nice to sit bundled up with our coffees. The heating stove kept us toasty and we had great slow mornings relaxing in the couches. Happily stay again with family or friends.

Everyone was so impressed with this cabin and the location was great. We all really enjoyed our time in Asheville and at the cabin. It was so homey and clean. We will definitely keep this one on our list next time we visit the area.

Had all of the family arrive for an early Christmas long weekend. House fit everyone nicely. Was well accommodated for home breakfasts and dinners and also close to restaurants for dining out. Close to Biltmore and downtown Asheville for shopping. Great fenced yard for our 2 goldens to get outside. Would definitely recommend!

We loved the cabin! It was perfect for our larger group (that included a toddler and an infant). The place had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. When the kids went to bed we all loved hanging by the outdoor fire pit and using the hot tub. The location was perfect, only 15 min to Asheville downtown and breweries.

We had a wonderful time staying at Morning Star. The house was beautiful and perfectly clean. This house seems like you are far away from everything with the perfect quiet setting, but you are only 15 minutes from downtown and great restaurants. The hosts are great! I highly recommend this property!

Beautiful stay in Beautiful Asheville. Enjoyed the hot tub as well as getting my butt kicked in pool. Just a caution, beware of the hidden corner post in the master bedroom. Ankle biter.

We stayed here for a family get-together for a week. We had a wonderful time - the house was clean, beds comfortable, furniture comfortable, and a great deck for morning coffee and an afternoon glass of wine. It's in a residential neighborhood, so there were some of the sounds of daily living, but very quiet at night. We were there during the Harvest Moon, so had 2 nights of moon rising! Ingles was nearby for grocery shopping, so we didn't need to bring much from home. We were close to breweries, a winery, and restaurants. We also had a dog with us, and were glad to have a fenced-in yard area for her to get some exercise. Owners were very responsive to my questions. Highly recommend!

The cabin was a nice and relaxing place to stay, with easy access to Asheville and plenty of ways to keep entertained in the cabin itself. Had a great visit with friends.

Very comfortable, quiet property. Enjoyed mornings reading on the deck and evenings soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking. The owners left us dog treats and a bottle of Biltmore wine which was a nice welcome, Asheville is a quick 20 minutes away.

Very clean. And pleasantly surprised at how accurate the pictures were to the actual property! Very nice welcome to us and our dog!

We had a family group (ages 19 months through 79) and our dogs. The house was well stocked and layed out very well for our various age groups. My son/in-law had to work on several days and had no issues with connectivity.

The house was so wonderful especially the decks. We sat on the upper deck as often as we could. Had fires in the back yard fireplace. Comfortable beds and private rooms. Want to stay here again!

Description and pictures are very accurate. We really enjoyed our stay in June of 2023. Owners were close by but we did not need to call them since we had everything we needed and expected. Pool table and fenced in yard were a big plus. Drove into Marshall, Hot Springs and Asheville during the week.

Comfortable house in quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room for the family to spread out on the 3 floors, multiple decks and backyard. Hot tub was a big plus. Asheville is about 20 minutes away.

This house was conveniently located to downtown Asheville, Biltmore Estate and Asheville Outdoor Adventure where our family did the zipline canopy tour! Lots of eating, walking/hiking, shopping. Relax at night with the hot tub, outdoor fireplace and streaming channels on all televisions. Great space for our family of 8 and our Australian Shepherd, who enjoyed the fenced in yard and laying on the porch/balcony. Birgit was a great host!

The home was perfect for our family (parents in their 60s with 3 grown children and two significant others), and two dogs among us. Having three levels of living space allowed us to space out whether we were sleeping, working from afar, or hanging out together. The fenced in yard was perfect for dog play and supervision, while the quiet neighborhood lanes were nice for taking walks with the dogs. The cabin was nicely decorated, with well-chosen accents and comfortable, attractive furniture pieces. We were thrilled with the place! It was also convenient to the downtown area (about 15-20 minutes) and a decent grocery store. We heartily recommend this home!

Stayed at Morning Star for a weekend reunion with friends! It was a great mountain feel but still close to downtown area with lots of restaurant options nearby! Owner was quick with communications when we couldn’t figure out the hot tub and had it working for us in no time! Would recommend!

We had a great time (6 couples and a pup!) at this cabin. Plenty of room for us to spread out and our dog loved havign her own area to run around. Super close to a nice Ingles for groceries and day trips into Asheville. Hope to be back soon!

We had a great time at this home. It’s about a 15 minute drive to DT ASV, and the home is nicely equipped for a stay.
My only negative feedback would be that the bedding seemed a little dusty and there weren’t that many towels or wash cloths. Other than that, we would definitely rent again!

My husband and I took our adult children on a long weekend Christmas vacation to Asheville! Our cabin home was convenient to come and go to grocery stores, restaurants, attractions, and breweries. The kitchen and laundry had everything we needed and we also enjoyed the hot tub!
The home was clean and modern and had a beautiful view of the mountains!

What a lovely stay we had from 12/29 to 1/5. Morning Star is easy to get to and in a beautiful and peaceful place. Also, it’s location can’t be beat. It’s a short 15-20 min drive to Asheville center and the Biltmore Estate. It’s a 2 hr drive to places like Grandfather Mtn and Beech Mountain and a 1 hour drive to Chimney Rock/Lake Lure.
The cabin was so clean and smelled so nice when we arrived. It had everything we needed. There were a couple of cloudless mornings where I got to see beautiful sunrises from the deck of the house drinking my morning coffee. That is priceless for me. My family didn’t want to leave and neither did I. Will definitely stay here again should we return to Asheville and the beautiful NC Mountains.

We had a great time at the cabin and would definitely book again! There’s plenty of room for everyone (we had 7 adults and one infant) and the location is perfect for making little day trips around the area. Neighborhood is also nice and quiet. Highly recommend

This beautiful cabin was perfection. Spacious yet cozy, with a fully appointed kitchen, comfy beds and linens, and spectacular views. Checkin and checkout were simple. We will definitely be back!

Where to begin, cabin was beautiful, while being spacious and very accommodating. Spent 3 nights with 8 people and two 7 month old boxer puppies.
Plenty of room for pup crates and people to spread out. Centrally located, within close proximity of grocery stores and several dining choices.
All of the amenities offered, internet, hot tub, pool table, and more were in great working order.
Local wildlife, bears and cows were highlights of our trip. Cows grazing behind backyard and a bear walking up the driveway were amazing.
We were there in mid October 14-17, and if looking at this place in the future one should consider where parking your car. The natural landscape as beautiful as it is, offers some very tall oak trees that are full of acorns during this time. With the wind blowing they were like little darts from the sky. Personally one member of our group was hit twice, once in the head. A couple of our vehicles had some minor acorn damage but nothing that would take away from the amazing time we spent here.
If I were to make any changes, I might consider adding some lights on the side of the house where the fenced in yard is, and adding an awning for vehicle parking during acorn producing periods.
Otherwise amazing place with amazing views and great amenities. Strongly suggest this place as we are already looking at booking again.

We were fortunate enough to spend Labor Day weekend 2022 at this beautiful home to celebrate our oldest son's wedding on September 4th outside Asheville. The home is gorgeous and exceeded all of our expectations. Birgit (the homeowner) was accessible and incredibly accommodating. This three-story cabin is situated on a private and gorgeously wooded property on the side of a lush mountain. The spacious four bedroom home was perfect for our family and son-in-law to enjoy the little bit of rest we could fit in on this busy weekend. Plenty of room and incredibly well-appointed - there was space enough for each of us to relax and reflect. Our two handsome Australian Shepherds loved the fenced in yard and easy access to woods and trails all around the home. We regret that we did not get the opportunity to enjoy the huge hot tub on the back deck or build a fire in the chimney/firepit on the same deck. I almost forgot to mention that the home has a pool table in the game room on the basement floor and TWO washing machines! This home is the perfect spot for a romantic retreat or family reunion. We will definitely be back. Tony & Birgit - Thank you so much for letting us stay in your extraordinary home. Mike, Ryan, Kate, Nik, Tosh & Kodi

We loved our stay at Morning Star. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions and to check we had all we needed. Thoughtful amenities were evident throughout. The porches provided such a lovely retreat for times when we didn’t venture nearby Asheville downtown. We would stay here again without question.
