Hotel was clean and tidy, well located with a carpark. Only negative was the excessive heat. Receptionist informed me that air conditioning was being installed in every room, so should not be an issue in 2025.

I was not advised that this hotel was undergoing refurbishment at the time I booked this hotel for my son and his girlfriend. I also received a missed phone call from the hotel at 8pm the night prior to the stay. I rang and was advised that a manager would ring back. They didn’t. I made contact again the next day, after 5 international telephone calls and the first day of the stay, to find out that they had overbooked the hotel rooms and wanted us to move to one of their sister hotels. Apparently overbooking rooms is common practice as people cancel although this has never happened to me with any other hotel. As they had gone on to find another person to move out of the hotel, my son ended up with his correct booking. I was however, very unimpressed with their pre-stay administration and lack of communication the night before. I spent a worried night thinking my son’s trip would be affected the next day.
My son and his girlfriend did stay in the correct room, which was fine, but did report that there was building noise from about 8.30am each day. I would hesitate before booking this hotel again.

I stayed in a superior deluxe room, the room itself was great and had lots of space. The only part that let it down was the bathroom, did not feel modern or superior!

It should be said that this hotel does NOT have A/C. This was not an issue for our stay considering it was 55f out and raining but the hotel does provide a large plugin fan so don’t let this deter you.
We have stayed at multiple hotels in Dublin and the Leonardo has the comfiest beds by far! The hotel has a great location, friendly staff, and decent food at the bar. Overall this was a 5 star stay and we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was ideally located. You're close enough to the Temple Bar area to walk but just far enough away to avoid the noise.

Waited an hour for my pizza, asked how much longer, waiter forgot to put order in. Ordered a sandwich in bar area, looked like a 5 year old made it. Tried to buy ice cream snack but front desk said they were too busy to ring up ice cream! I have stayed at this hotel several times before, but because of this recent experience won’t return.

We especially enjoyed the Bar/eating area with the big windows. Very convenient for a quick lunch or a glass of wine and dinner after a long day site seeing. Great location. The staff were also very helpful with an early check in, suggestions for the hop on tour. We especially enjoyed the young servers in the bar.

I love the fact of closed lobby doors after 11pm, with security right there.
Excellent breakfast, dining room was excellent service, food was great. Shuttle and taxi right to the front door.

Hotel needs upgrade in the rooms. View was very poor and noisy with people walking past the door in the early hours.
Dining - was told that due to a large group booking, only lunch menu available. Very poor so went out to local restaurant.
Staff (check in and check out) great.

We paid double to book this hotel because coldplay was in town (we wernt going) only to get told at checkin that they had sold our room. Im assming at an even higher rate and bumped out a bunch of guests. We were sent to another hotel we had to walk to with all our luggage in the rain. Crazy!!!
Would love to review the actualnhotel but we didnt make it past the door

Well-located just on the edge of Temple Bar. Bar area great, staff really friendly and willing to help with queries.
Nice touch was the Coldplay cupcakes and bucks fizz in the afternoon during the Coldplay tour as that was the reason we were staying. Breakfast was also great, with lots of hot and cold food options.
We had a triple room, which was OK. Beds a bit too soft, with noisy springs. Also the bathroom door is on a heavy spring, which made it impossible to go to the toilet in the middle of the night without waking up others in the room.
Shampoo and shower gel are hand pumps which required about 40 pumps before you had enough to wash your hair/body. Despite requesting twice for this to be fixed it never was.
Had one dinner at the hotel, which was very disappointing. They only had one red wine out of about 10 listed, none of the rosé and three out of 10 of the white wine options. No guacamole for the nachos, so we had to rethink our dinner choices. This was on a Saturday night in August, so a bit strange to say the least. It seems like the dining room in the hotel was trying to function on minimal operating cost.

The check in was good. We were over in Dublin watching Coldplay and at check in we were greeted with a glass of bucks fizz and a coldplay cup cake which was a nice touch. The room wasn't good. Aside from the view (opposite side form the view of the Cathedral (which I'm sure is much nicer) the room was hot and the cooler supplied was useless and very noisy. We didn't plan on spending too much time in the room but with hindsight we should have mentioned it earlier in our stay. The hotel is in a good location, handy for Temple Bar and other areas along the River. We only had breakfast in the hotel on the morning we were leaving and it was nice although the toaster was similar to the cooler, useless but without the noise. We paid a lot of money for the hotel although the prices were Coldplay hiked. We wouldn't stay here again purely based on the room being sauna like with no adequate cooling.
