We loved this place a lot. It was less crowded and hectic compared to some of the other resorts in Nassau like Atlantis or Sandals. The staff were amazing and super helpful. There's quite a few stores nearby, which makes things very convenient as well. The private beach is so beautiful too.

Beach close by, bus stop right on main street. Fare is $1.5 per person gets you around town. Very safe and friendly island

The staff was so welcoming and friendly. I loved the Conch Shack staff and the conch demonstration. Educational and delicious. Lady Sarah is genuinely helpful in her activities recommendations. We felt like we were treated as family. From front desk to housekeepers it was very heartwarming. The beach, lagoon and grounds were beautiful and always had a lounge chair available. Bahamas is a wonderful vacation destination.

This resort was everything we needed for our last minute rest and relaxing get away. The room was superb. Clean. Smelled fresh. Bed was super comfortable. The staff is so nice and friendly. Always greeting us with a smile and open heart. The beach was great for snorkeling or just to take a nice swim. It never got crowded. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend getting a massage by Sheryse. Then go get a fresh Margarita by Seabass.

We really like the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of the resort, a short walk to main street to take public bus. Front desk and room service staff are very friendly. They also taken care any issue arise very quickly. Manager also very quickly offer compensation for issue and the inconvenience we encounter during our stay.

If you are looking for an escape from the hustle bustle of a typical touristy resort, then I highly recommend staying at Sandyport Beach Resort.
Hands down I have never experienced such caring, friendly customer service from all the staff members that work here. They absolutely do their best to give you red carpet treatment 24/7.
We booked a suite with a kitchenette which included a patio with a table that overlooked the canal. The room was very clean with daily cleaning service included. Included was a nice touch of two bottles of water everyday. The bed was incredibly comfortable. AC units worked flawlessly, even in this heat.
We choose to spend most days right here at the resort’s beach. Unlike every other resort where you need to run down to the beach or pool to claim your chairs and umbrella, that is not the case here. They have a private beach with only four umbrellas and thought that would be the case. When we eventually meandered to the beach, there was always an umbrella and chairs every time. They also have a few beds set off in the shade.
The only disappointment we experienced were the restaurants. Sandyport is a small community and there are only a few restaurants within walking distance (5-10 minutes max from the resort).
If you're looking for staff-directed, on-site daily activities at a resort then this is not the resort for you. You won't see any of that here. This is a quiet retreat for couples and families that just want to relax.

We loved staying at Sandyport. The people are great. The food at the restaurants were delicious. Our room was right between the ocean and pools/lagoon. It was perfect. I felt safe at night because the resort was protected. The only thing that would have been better was to have a coin machine and laundry soap/dryer sheet available for purchase in the laundry room.

Emergency stay near airport due to flight cancellation. Turned out to be a wonderful extended stay. Did an excursion. Went to market and cooked in suite. Laundry facilities. Restaurants and stores walkable. Beach and pool right outside our suite. Very quiet and secluded. Hammocks and beach bar area. Families and couples. Bus to downtown. Surpassed expectations. Just a little bit more cleaning in kitchen cabinets needed.

The property has a little bit of everything: a beach, a pool, and a lagoon. There are also a half dozen restaurants within easy walking distance. But what really sets it apart is the exceptional staff. They're unfailingly friendly, helpful, professional, and genuinely seemed intent on making sure I had a good stay. This place is a real gem.

Its location is ideal for someone who enjoys privacy and quiet time. I was able to read by the beach and around the facility in its ubiquitous hamacs. I love the scenery; bucolic.

The canal, and their own beach, was unique. The Blue Sail Restaurant staff, food and view was great. Being across from a public beach was cool and being able to catch a bus to downtown was a fun experience.

Resort is nice. However the first room I was placed in had a broke air conditioner unit. After complaining and 6 hours later we were moved. The pool was nice minus the late night activities a couple must’ve had in which they left their protection floating in the pool. I also noticed cigarette butts in the pool floating as well. Last but not least I was supposed to be charged 200 for incidentals for our 2 night stay but was charged 250. It’s a nice resort just not well maintained.
