Lovely place, very friendly staff.
But it is necessary to pay with cash only so visitors need to be prepared before arrival.

Hard to find and a bit isolated. Nothing of interest within walking distance, so needed a tuk tuk or minibus to go anywhere. Beautiful grounds. Staff all very eager to please. Paid (by us) transport arranged for us, which was really great and reasonably priced.
Lack of chairs, clothes hangers, no fridge in room. Beautiful grounds, birds and other wildlife, varied good meals and excellent laundry service.

Excellent place to stay and lovely staff. Slightly difficult approach and overpriced. It is not part of the famous Cinnamon Group of hotels but is a lovely property.

We were greeted by friendly welcomes, tea and fresh warm carrot cake. The service was wonderful and the property beautiful. Just a short tuk tuk ride to the city but set in the hills amidst a jungle with wild boar and some beautiful birds. The pool was a fantastic bonus and our 2 year old enjoyed it very much. The home cooked meals were delucious. We loved Sweet Cinnamon Kandy!

Shame on Hotels.com for even offering this dismal hotel. I trusted hotels.com, and paid in advance for a two-night stay. I also was misled by the hotel name which suggested an affiliation with the respected Cinnamon hotel chain. This dingy place has nothing in common with that fine chain. Also misleading was the listing showing that it has a restaurant. When we arrived at about 6 pm (not after normal restaurant hours) the man in the office said there is no restaurant at all. When we objected, he offered to send out for beer and meatballs with spaghetti! Walking to a nearby restaurant was not an option because nothing is nearby. The hotel sits at the end of a long, dark, rutted dirt road. Very creepy. After one look at the room, we left even though we had paid in advance. Couldn't imagine sleeping there.

This was an excellent small yet boutique B&B in Kandy.
The room, which was more like a suite was spacious and highly ornate with lovely wooden flooring and furniture.
The breakfast was exceptional and memorable.
The entrance hall has a delightful aroma of cinnamon oil burning. The owner was extremely hospitable and helpful discussing local tourist attractions.
A little tricky to find though so will need good driver. I'd certainly recommend staying here rather than a large hotel.

Lovely little guesthouse. Located a little out of Kandy centre, a short tuk-tuk ride easily organised with the friendly owner. Spacious garden, with lots of interesting plants, helpfully explained by one of the staff. Delicious breakfasts kept us going all day, and a tasty evening meal, prepared for us at short notice after a late arrival. Large room with lovely comfortable four-post bed. Unfortunately no chance to use the nice new swimming pool due to weather conditions. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Tucked away, just a couple of km from Kandy centre, in beautiful, spice laden gardens. The staff are absolutely wonderful - attentive and helpful, but not overbearing. The proprietor and his wife speak perfect English. Half day and full day tours were organised by the owner - just let them know what you want to do and they will help you fill in the itinerary. Breakfast and evening meal was a delight (take your own alcohol, if that's what you want). Accommodation was spotless and relaxing (we had one of the rooms, rather than bungalow, which were fully booked). Kandy centre is just 5 mins and around 300 sr rupees by tuk-tuk, which the staff organise within minutes for you. Would highly recommend as a Kandy-base. Word of caution - Kandy is not endowed with decent restaurants. Thank you Priyan.
