This hotel is owned and operated by a local real estate company. It's questionable whether the staff members are properly trained. Service feels like at a Sheraton in a second tier city in China. Breakfast was horrible, and didn't change at all for the entire 6 nights of stay we were there, except some items were removed from the buffet on Sat and Sun because the cook takes weekend leave. Hardware is showing wear and tears more than its 7 years of age would warrant. For example, none of the door bells in any one of the rooms is not rubbed off and showing the light coming from behind the button. One of our rooms had horrible air circulation and smelled like mold every time you walk in. Service at the buffet is slow to clean the tables. Feels like dining at a canteen with tables piled with garbage around you. Staff do not greet guests, and would fight with guest over access to a narrow pathway in the restaurant. Pointed out to the doorman that the front of the hotel rug is crumbled and could cause elderly to trip if not straightened. Came back to the hotel hours late and the crumble is still there. Very heartless. Butler service never takes less than 30 mins for a pot of tea. Frequent sight of cleaning staff wearing blue shower cap wondering around the hotel hallway - a scene you would never see at Four Seasons. Location is excellent, however.

Nice, clean rooms. Tons of renovations right now so loud and noisy. Air conditioning was HORRIBLE. Switched to different rooms… could never get AC to go below 24C which was unbearably hot and uncomfortable.
