Not quite what we were expecting. When we booked the room we were expecting to stay in a lovely old building with views over the bay. And, yes, we had views over the bay, but from the annex across the road from the main hotel. Quite disappointing really. We felt excluded from the hotel and did not use either the bar or the pool for that reason. Also, no laundry facilities, which was clearly advertised on the hotel.com app. Parking on the road only.

A nice hotel on the seafront in Kingscote with a good restaurant and comfortable rooms. Check in was straightforward, receptionist friendly. Our room was on the ground floor, it was clean and had everything we needed for our two night stay though not very soundproof....on our second night we had a guy in the neighbouring room who seemed to spend the entirety of his stay on the phone so not the most restful of experiences! On a positive note the food in the restaurant was very good and I must just mention Mariana, our lovely waitress from Chilli.....she was such a ray of sunshine....a credit to the hotel! 💕 Kingscote is a good base to explore this beautiful island! We saw seals resting in the sunshine on the old pier in the evenings and playing in the waters in the mornings! All in all a good stay at this historic hotel....check out all the old photographs in the dining area!

Pretty much perfect. Had a minor maintenance issue on arrival, went to reception to report the issue, by the time I walked back to the room, maintenance were there, full of apologies and quickly rectified the issue, very well done. Staff bright and cheerful, polite, professional and prompt. Great service from all staff Room was clean and functional, beds very comfortable. Food was excellent, both evening meals and the breakfast buffet. Overall very happy, will stay there again and more than happy to recommend Aurora Ozone KI

The structure is nice and right on the ocean, the food at the restaurant is good and the staff very helpful. We came for our honeymoon and we were treated very well, beyond our expectations. Totally recommended

Located conveniently in Kingscoate so it is well positioned for a stay on Kangaroo Island. Restaurant is convenient and good food and drinks. Balcony rooms have a lovely view of the bay. Comfortable quiet good sized rooms. Would stay again.

We stayed in the two-bedroom penthouse and it was excellent if you require a bit more comfort than a regular hotel room. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for self-catering. The parking was in the next door public parking area which was not ideal.

The standard room they gave us was extremely noise, window facing tin roof with 4 vent pipes, low ceiling you can easely touch by hand ..... The room was not even close to what has been pictured on Hotels website. We had to pay $46 upgrade per night for the sea view room in other building. Very disappointed with a lack of attitude to recognise that room is just wrong and uncomfortable for stay. They blamed the issue that we booked a standard room trough the third party ?? Housekeeping lady is a positive highlight of the stay.

The hotel Does Not provide guests CarPark - this is a big problem during potentially busy time during dinner service time.All people using very limited car space on street . This inconvenience could be rectified by building available space near a liquor shop. My second comment- the hotel does Not have an escalator ! Or ramp for guest to go the second floor . Carry heavy bags and luggage up to narrow stair case is not easy !!!!

The only negative is parking. None provided. Street only. Then access via steep steps. Made for a struggle with luggage. But a visiting technical person checking out the electrics helped an old 78 year old. Overall a v good hotel.
