A beautiful well kept hotel a half-block from the central plaza. We loved the big open feel of the courtyard, bar, pool, and dining area of the historic Spanish architecture. Our room was nice and airy too. Super quiet at night. We liked the honey shampoo and the chocolate soap bar. The little things. Lastly, the ADO station is a short walk away as is most everything a visitor to Valladolid might wish. We’re talking Ek Balam, Chichan Itza, and many many cenotes.

Real Hispano is the only hotel we’ve stayed at in Valladolid, but I can’t imagine there is a better one. The location is perfect, the property is gorgeous, and the service is excellent. The rooms are roomy, clean and comfortable. There is no coffeemaker in the room, but that is not unusual for the Yucatan, in our experience. The pool is beautiful and clean, with plenty of lounging area. The hotel is a short walk to the main plaza and to many restaurants, and it has its own very good restaurant. It is also within walking distance of Cenote Zaci. The front desk is occupied all the time, which is a plus. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Great standard. Good outdoor area with swimming pool. Standard on the room was good, also very clean. Beds quite short, just some other places in Mexico (I am 1,85, bed to short).

LOCATION: This hotel has a great location, its a block away from the main square and shops.
ROOM: Very spacious room. However, it could use a mini fridge in there. With the sweltering heat (mid 90s) in early November it could have save me a trip to the corner market Oxxo to get cold water, it does have A/C and the bed was very comfortable and full of pillows. Not sure if I was tired from visiting various cenotes but it was rested the next day.
BATHROOM: it has a small swinging 3x makeup mirror on the wall with and the shower floor can get slippery, If it weren't for the grab bar I could have been on the floor, so be careful.
RESTAURANT: The food was good, from the waffles to the chilaquiles and I recommend the Yucatan drink Chaya Mix (pineapple, lemon extracts) its delicious and very refreshing.
POOL: The Valladolid heat is no joke, it was refreshing to jump in. There is some hammocks underneath a patio cover over some water and a few lounge chairs to hang out and get a tan. The complex has a rooftop area on the 4th floor and has good views of the city.
OVERALL: As this was a solo trip, I would stay there again and is family friendly.

Staff need more training. After I checked out, the staff took my keys and didn’t say a thing. I asked if everything was good and if I’m good to go, he said, “yes”. Actually, they forgot to give me back my PR ID card and I didn’t check since I trusted what the staff said. Come next day on my flight, I realized I’m missing my PR card. I can’t fly back to my country without it and I remembered the hotel still has it. I contacted them and no one picked up. I messaged here through the app, sent voicemail, sent email. Took a while for them to respond and all they had to say was, “So sorry, your ID is at the reception”. I missed my flight, had to rebook a ticket and a hotel, hired a taxi from Cancun to Valladolid so I can get ID back (that’s about 6 hours of travel back and forth). When I arrived at the reception, staff handed me the ID and said nothing. Their mistake has caused me a lot of money and trouble and I don’t even get an apology.

The hotel is in a nice building, and most of the personnel were very kind. However, we had a problem with the room lock, and it was a bit noisy.

Wonderful experience with incredibly helpful and welcoming staff. We were here during hurricane Beryl and the staff prepared us boxed meals for our room during the storm. They worked diligently
to prepare the hotel for the coming storm and got started with cleanup and service right away after it passed. We came here last minute after getting evacuated from Holbox & ended up staying 3 nights.

We had a great three night stay at Hotel Real Hispano. It is a beautifully renovated old building right in the heart of Valladolid just metres from the main square. Very convenient location and you surprisingly don’t hear the road traffic outside.
The pool and surrounding restaurant is great - nicely laid out and perfect for cooling off. One recommendation would be for umbrellas/parasols by the sun loungers by the pool as it can get very hot there. We have never stayed at such a clean hotel - the staff (who are very friendly and smiley) are always cleaning and keeping everything looking lovely (including the beautiful gardens).
The only issue we experienced was a lot of noise (shouting in Spanish in the corridor between rooms early morning, 5am, and in the night, 11pm-midnight) from some fellow guests who were very rude and inconsiderate. That is certainly not the hotel’s fault, but some additional sound proofing would help reduce the voices and noise.
We would definitely recommend this hotel as an ideal place to stay when visiting Valladolid.

This converted convent is beautiful, safe, centrally located, very clean and spacious, friendly staff, elevator, and nice courtyard with pool and hammocks hanging over shallow pool. Bar and restaurant flanks courtyard. Has parking if needed and is 2 blocks from bus station. One block from the Cathedral square. Perfect location! Will definitely stay here again.
