About this house rental
This is a comfortable family home, with a New England artsy-academic feel. Original art in every room, a baby grand piano, and enough books to fill a bookstore. High ceilings, pine floors, large windows, mudroom, office space, backyard, and a cozy library with a wood stove.
Downstairs is the main entry hall, the library (with 48” smart TV), piano room, living room, kitchen and mudroom.
Upstairs is the main bedroom which is open to the full roof height, the office which also has a twin bed when guests request it, the third bedroom and the bathroom. All get lots of sun and have comfy sheets and quilts/duvets.
The kitchen features all maple cabinets, large hutch, typical appliances, and it seats 6.
The side yard has fresh organic veggies growing in season, and you can enjoy a drink or meal while enjoying the sunset. The backyard is shared with a second unit attached to the back of the house and there is plenty of room for everyone! This is a neighborhood, so you may see a friendly face or two!
Want to work while you are here? Bedroom 2 has two large workstations and our WiFi is excellent.
Walk 5 to 10 minutes to the famous Bow St Market, pizza, brew pub, local shops and outlets, fine dining, Freeport Oyster Bar, Freeport Historical Society, and of course, LLBean. Drive 5 minutes to Maine Beer and 4 other breweries and 10 minutes to beaches and rocky coastal parks. We leave our State Park pass for guests to enjoy. Or play corn hole and badminton in the backyard!
Essentially - this is a great spot for hanging out and for accessing all of the many offerings in Freeport - from downtown to the local and state parks. It is comfortable, unique, and roomy for a small family or a couple wanting to spread out.
