About this house rental

Fleming-O (pronounced “flamingo”) is located on one-way Fleming Street in the middle of historic Old Town Key West and only two blocks from world famous Duval Street and its restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shops.

This completely upgraded conch cottage has all the modern amenities you would need.

The contemporary kitchen with a cathedral ceiling is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, all cookware, utensils, dishes, and convenient countertop appliances. The kitchen has a dining table and seating for four in addition to two stools at the breakfast bar. Glass sliding doors open to a fenced, private deck that includes a gas grill, two chaise lounges, built-in benches, an outdoor dining table, and an outdoor shower. The living room contains a queen convertible sofa. All linens and towels, including beach towels, are supplied. The home is equipped with a new stacked washer and dryer located in a bathroom closet. The owners have installed a central air system, which is a luxury that few Old Town rental properties possess.

Both bedrooms share the common area bath, with double-basin pedestal sink and beautifully tiled walk-in shower. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. Both bedrooms and the living room contain flat-screen TVs. The large front porch is a few steps above the street, making it the perfect place to sit on the wicker chairs and relax with your morning coffee.

The location is ideal—just blocks from Blue Heaven and Pepe’s, the best breakfast spots in town. We also highly reccomend the following nearby spots: Mangia Mangia Pasta Café, Michaels Restaurant, Sarabeth’s Kitchen, Seven Fish, A&B Lobster House, Conch Republic, The Boat House Bar and Grill, Alonzo’s, BO’s, and many more. The nightlife venues located within a short walking distance include Margaritaville, Willie T’s, The Green Parrot, Schooner Wharf, Rick’s/Durty Harry’s, The Hog’s Breath Saloon, Sloppy Joe’s, Irish Kevin’s, and Captain Tony’s.

-Excellent property and location for a reunion of 3 seniors: life-long friends who get together once a year or so, coming from different parts of the country. -Comfy furnishings; fun, quirky decorations; fully equipped kitchen for cooking. -The property manager was great: even called us to let us know we could get in to the place a few hours early. -Perfect location in old historic part of Key West. We knew driving in Key West is no fun, so this place was walking distance to everything we were interested in: Dining, drinks, Heningway Home (15min), South Beach (20 min), Mallory Square (15 min) and everything in between, Key West Cemetery (5 min). Could have walked to the best beach at Zachary Taylor State Park, but it's a boring walk heading in to the park, so a Lyft was easy. -We'd book it again.

Everything about this house and location was perfect for our 5-day getaway. House was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Enjoyed sitting on the back patio after Duval street trips which is very convenient to walk to and from when staying here. Highly recommend and will stay again.

Quick three-day get away for old friends. Home was perfect location and size for the group. Quiet neighborhood, yet just minutes from Duval and the waterfront. House was immaculate and check in was a breeze. I give this property the highest possible rating and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Fleming-O was the perfect place for our group of four. Everything was very clean - bed linens, towels, dishes, kitchen, bedrooms, etc. The owners thought of everything and created a very comfortable place to stay. The home is exceptionally charming, larger than we thought it would be and in the perfect location for what we wanted to do. It's a very short walk to Duval Street where we spent most of our time and the neighborhood was pretty quiet and we felt very safe. We arrived after hours but the check in process was very simple once we arrived at the check in place. We had a rental car and once we found a place to park, we didn't need to move it the entire time we were there - everything was very accessible to us on foot. Great place to stay and l would definitely stay there again. 5 stars!

Loved this house! It is so much nicer than the photos show. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. The location is perfect. So close to everything. My only complaint would be when we went to the pool, there was a big dog there which really didn't bother me but members in our group are not dog people and didn't appreciate the dog begging for our food or the dog hair that completely covered the pool deck. And the owner told us that she had been swimming in the pool several times. Otherwise, the pool is great but hard to spend a lot of time there since there is no bathroom.

Nice cottage located pretty much in the center of Key West. Walking distance to most locations. Cottage was very comfortable and beautifully decorated with Key west ambiance. Loved the pink flamingo sheets.

First glance at Fleming-o promised a cozy stay with attention to detail. Stepping through the front door we were greeted with the most charming cottage imaginable. The owner’s decor was pure Key West…funky and fabulous. The shared bathroom was functional and exquisite in its decor. Flemingo is steps away from the action of Duval but provides a peaceful place to call home!! This was our first stay with Key West Hideaway but hopefully not our last. The office was extremely helpful and even held out bags as our fight back to Ohio wasn’t until the evening! It was a fabulous trip!’

Great attention to details! A lot of effort and thought went into preparing and decorating this home. This isn’t as big place, but perfect for four or less people. Nice back deck to hang out in or sit on the front porch and relax. No problem finding a parking spot. Great location, only three blocks from Duval St. or the marina. Two blocks from a nice grocery store. Quintessential old town home!

Had a great time staying at this property. Close to everything. We rented bicycles for the duration from Eaton Bicycle Rentals. Highly recommend. Made it fun and easy to travel around the island. Would stay here again.

We had come down mainly to do a two day fishing trip but had also planned to go out on Duval in the evenings. The walk was very short to get to the main strip and once there you were right at all the shops and bars. House was clean and just as advertised.

We absolutely loved our stay at this amazing and super clean Key West conch house! The decor and style are so perfect for the island and so many perfect small details are not to be taken for granted here! Making future guests aware; the bed in the master has a very firm mattress. The tips on temps to keep things at along with the outdoor shower were appreciated! WiFi, a great location, and cleanliness included! Highly recommend staying at this Flamingo (my kiddos counted 103 throughout) fun house! Thanks so much for helping this mom check one off the bucket list in style!
