We really loved this bungalow, big enough for what we needed and close to everything. It is also far enough off Duval that you don't hear a lot of noise. Parking is a bit of an issue, but otherwise we would stay again.

The location was super convenient to get everywhere we wanted. It rained on day and the space was great to play board games and watch TV till it let up.

Great time

The house was exactly as listed and pictured. The parking was extremely awful, no fault of the property perse, but it was none the less an inconvenient truth as there are other properties in the area that do provide parking as our friends stayed in one. We originally booked because it had a hot tub, however it was so humid and hot we never got to enjoy it, again no fault of the property just something I did not consider when booking. The air conditioners were amazing and ran great and quiet the entire time. We spent more time in the home than anticipated due to tropical storms so it was nice to be comfortable. The house was super convenient to Duvall street, about the middle of Duvall. Very close to a CVS pharmacy and a convenience store for beer runs and unexpected purchases. Beds were comfortable, although queens were a tad small for us, we still slept great. Only thing I would change would have been the door code. It was a 10 digit code or something very long and impossible to remember. So I always had to open an email when trying to get inside the door while raining. Possibly making it the phone number of the person making the reservation would be better, it would always be changing for security reasons as new people check in and could be easily remembered by those staying inside the home.

The location couldn’t have been better.

Charming cottage.

Great house in great location! Perfect for family of 5, walking distance to everywhere!
4.7
Definitely great location, it is a central location to many things! Beds were comfy. House was clean. Appreciated the front porch and back porch! Only small things that we didn’t care for, the code number to unlock the door was really long, too long to remember. And they didn’t have small things like salt, pepper and nonstick spray in the kitchen. And since everything was expensive to purchase at the local stores, but then again I always support local businesses. The air conditioning in the one bedroom squeaked and made awful noises while we tried to sleep. Like I said little things and wouldn’t stop me from staying again! And we made wonderful memories!

I loved the pillows. The rest...
1. The air conditioner in the second bedroom, squeaked and groaned, to the point where I had to shut it off. While it was disappointing that it rained the entire time we were there, it was fortunate because I didn't have to run the AC. It made it impossible to sleep, still wanting fresh air, I opened the window, which had no screen! not cool in Florida where there are bugs, lizards, snakes.
2. The showerhead in the bathroom desperately needs to be replaced. It's like getting a shower from a squirt bottle.
3. Having a hot tub was great, especially since the weather was cool and mostly rainy. However, it's clear that the pool is not managed professionally, as the chemicals were way too high! Our skin was burning and red, and it was not from the heat. A fact proven when my daughter-in-law's new swimsuit became completely faded with a tie dye sort of look after use.
I have a Ralph Lauren swimsuit that I paid a tremendous amount of money for nearly 15 years ago, which was worth it, as it has been in perfect condition for the duration, until now. My record-setting swimsuit longevity has come to an end, thanks to the record-setting chemical levels. It's now faded and lacking elasticity. I should be reimbursed but I'm not holding my breath.
4. Extra blankets should be available. While it should be 80° in December, sometimes it is not.
5. The bathroom, which is right off the kitchen, does not have a vent/fan, nor does it have an operable window! The window crank was broken, taped, and literally painted over. You can imagine the pleasant aromas coming from daily functions. This was awful. Put in a fan!!
6. The sofa/pull out should not be considered a bed. For my 24 year old son, it was like sleeping in a giant bowl; low in the middle, and high on the sides. It was terribly uncomfortable. If you're going to offer a third double bed, invest in a decent pull-out sofa. If not, at least invest in a single cushion sofa with removable back cushions to serve as a solid single bed. Cheap junk. There is also no AC in this area, and the windows don't open - not ideal for Florida. This "3rd sleeping area" also leaves absolutely nowhere to hang out as a group, except the kitchen table. Unless you want to dismantle someone's personal area often.
7. The floor is buckled in spots… Real toe stubbers. Other rotted areas of the home are covered in paint.
8. The lighting in this home is horrendous. It became humorously known as our "prison lighting". It's harsh, visually cold, and totally uninviting. I actually had to move a small lamp from the bedroom and place it in the kitchen, so as to not be optically assaulted. Good lighting is essential to creating a cozy space. Its a home, not an operating room.
The lamp in the living room had a broken, crooked shade, like a cheap, dated Motel 6. Not pretty.
9. Pillows are terrific. Honestly.
10. Small back yard is cozy.
11. The new W/D is great.
Overall, the house is just OK.

Location, location, location!!! This house is perfect for your stay at Key West!! We will definitely be back. Perfect size for a couple or small family.

We took our family here for my son's 21st bday celebration and loved the home and location. Perfect for our trip! We had a great time. No one can have a bad time in the Keys... Only feedback on this little cute old home would be to replace the AC unit in the 1st bedroom next to bathroom. Beware of old home shower does not have great hot water which is not a surprise if you like old homes. Last, this is not a huge deal but owner should put a smart TV in the home and drop the cable with 6 channels. Although none of visit Key West to watch TV, it is nice to have option after traveling a long way upon arrival and for rainy days. Just a thought for those who may enjoy a Netflix type break in between excursions and Duval crawls :) Would definitely recommend this home to friends and family!

Great place, clean close to everything

We loved the proximity of all things Key West from this cottage. It was definitely a park your car and walk experience. The house was clean, the beds super comfy, and the hot tub was a plus!

The house was as expected. We wanted someplace w/I walking distance of Hemingway House. It was small but comfortable.

I loved this property from the moment we drove up! Its actually more charming in person then it is in the listing photographs. Just a small little bungalow a few steps off Duval and perfect for a long weekend. The only negatives to this rental was the limited parking, which we got lucky and were able to park right in front, and since it's a walk or Pedi-cab ride to almost anywhere on the island i really can't complain. We had issues with the television which was something I read on other reviews and assumed it would have been addressed prior to our arrival. it's an older TV with a cable box and if I'm being honest could probably just be upgraded to a smart TV so folks can just use their preferred streaming service and a long range antenna for some local channels would be great. I emailed the management company and got some odd and useful response. It ended up not being a big deal because first off we didn't go on vacation to watch television, and the time we did need a little vegging out I just grabbed my iPad and used it for entertainment. The thing about a Roku tv or something though is that at least you would be able to have some music or something on in the house while you relaxed or sat on the porch. The only other "complaint" I had was that we used the hot tub to just relax and unwind and it was very overtreated with chlorine which I could smell and feel, but it ended up bleaching my bathing suit top. Most importantly though, I'd stay here again.
4.7
The location and cleanliness of the cottage was great, but there were issues that were never addressed. The TV never worked our entire stay, and when they arrived to fix it, we were told the cable box was broken and they would be back to fix it. Never happened!!! We also called about the refrigerator not working properly, and once again we received no resolution. This made for a very disappointing stay!!
4.7
It was an adorable house that had everything we needed for for our short stay. Walking distance to duval, coffee shops, restaurants. Parking is difficult and expensive, if you bring a car expect to park in an expensive garage, over a mile away. We ended up using a lot of ubers for places out of walking distance.

Great location, clean property, small living area and kitchen but exactly as advertised, excellent communication with the manager
4.7
The location to everything was fantastic! Super cute house and easy to stay in.
4.7
A perfect little place for us. My husband and I, my brother and his wife stayed in the perfect place. Has a kitchen, hot tub single bathroom. Plenty of towels and bedding. Within walking distance of many key west faves - if not a quick Uber or lift is never far away. Highly recommended!
4.7
We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It’s in a great location where you can walk everywhere close to all restaurants! we had a great time.
4.7
The house is fine, relatively clean and in good order. Location is nice near Duval St
if you want that sort of thing. Problems arose and was not unresponsive but overpromised on every corner. Operations manager was supposed to respond in a timely manner with regards to neighbors throwing food over the fence while my wife and I were privately and quietly eating in the backyard. Never got a response never got any concern beyond cookie-cutter, template, generic, replies. Also had an issue with controlling temperature settings on the spa. That was day one. I was told we would get an immediate reply back. We got no reply ever in terms of how to address. It’s not like the VaCasa ignores you. They don’t. You text them and they will reply right away. But the responses are shallow and generic and cold. Still waiting for replies to both of these. Meanwhile, we ended up paying an extraordinary amount for a place that had some disappointments. The truth The truth is, When you spend this kind of money directly or in directly, you expect great things. Again, I can’t blame the owner. I do blame the property manager though. Return? I’m not sure but I kind of doubt it. Asked for some kind of resolution from Vacasa, but got no response. They seem to kind of dance around hard questions. I must say, I see poor management with that company.

This house had everything we need and the location was perfect to everything

We had an amazing girls trip! The house met our every need and was so close and convenient to Duval St. There was five of us and we had no problem getting ready. The only problem we faced was leaving on the 7th day. We really wanted to stay.
PS, it would be nice to have some type of hand rail on the front steps.
4.7
.Back yard could use another chair or two. Hated the tall kitchen chairs for coffee in the morning. Really uncomfortable after bar stooling it all night. But overall the unit worked great for five of us. Shotgun style let the person in the living room have some privacy
Back door had a problem but was fixed immediately. Nice polite staff communications.

The condo was clean and well maintained.
Vacasa office staff very friendly, helpful and professional.
Location was just perfect!

Absolutely perfect location! Once we parked, we didn’t have the need to drive any longer as everything was walking distance. House was very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful location poor amenities
This place has lots of towels and a nice back yard hot tub. Other than that, the plumbing is ancient and won’t even flush from someone just peeing, there was no basics in the kitchen like salt and pepper or coffee filters that fit the coffee pot. There was only 3 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for 7 days. The house is really old and in need of a lot of repairs. The location is great I just expected more from the cost. Just up the street there are condos I’ve stayed at before that at very close to the same price had fully stocked basics.
