Nice hotel inside Camp John Hay close to restaurants and shops.

Room smells old. The bathroom smells molds. The safe needs to be fixed by maintenance because it was not working. The bedsheets dont smell fresh. Overpriced stay. Breakfast has limited options. Will not come back.

The location is in a quiet section of Camp John Hay, with rolling hills around it. The rooms are NOT airconditioned though at check in we were told a few were. The airconditioned rooms were all booked so we were given a portable AC & the ice cube container had to be refilled every 4-6 hrs. I had a hard time falling asleep because the room was hot though we cracked the balcony door open a bit so fresh air would come in. Housekeeping was good & were responsive. We hosted a group of friends for dinner once & we were allowed use of the quieter section of the dining room. However, the waiter spilled a glassful of cold mango shake on the back of an elderly guest. He tried to wipe it with small napkins but we asked for a towel which they finally provided. Waiters should be taught that if there are 3 full glasses on a serving tray & 2 have been served, the balance changes or else there will be an accident.

Good location near on food area😂..staff are really good, fast, polite.
Only 1 scenario when 1 of the room smells burning electrical not they fault..but when it comes to changes of rooms that's very slow.we keep calling them since to late already around 10pm ..we are all tired.the decision takes 30mins to sort it out..just to change the room.

Rooms were not cleaned thoroughly. There are things such as feeding bottle left under the bed by the previous guests. The pool was not heated contrary to the advertised.

This trip's purpose? To treat my wife to a wonderful few days of swimming in a nice pool. After check in, I said "Now lets hit that pool!" All was shattered when the desk clerk said, "Oh sir, the pool is closed!" WHAT??? No mention of this by Hotels.com or in the hotel's "welcoming letter"; not a single word. This was not the visit we hoped for when booking. To add insult, when we expressed our total displeasure to management not a single comp, discount, or action was offered to compensate us for the complete lack of service. Would have booked another property if we were notified of the pool being closed. Still, flamed over this. Anyway, the property is very nice, clean and well maintained. Hotel staff, except for management, was extremely nice, helpful and considerate. A major "thumbs up" to the ladies in the restaurant, the doormen and the front office clerks - GREAT JOB!! More bad news though. The Internet worked great on Friday, then died all day Saturday and Sunday. Very poor TV reception with static covering the screen since it is not cable. Saturday evening and at 6:00 am Sunday we could hear easily hear the noisy family in the room next door; quite annoying. Also, at check-in we were asked to pay 500 pesos for use of the A/C. After a tense moment, they finally agreed we had pre-paid for A/C. Saturday breakfast we were also told to pay 350 pesos each until I proved it was pre-paid. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

Room Amenities were downsized. Breakfast selections are few due to covid. But staff are working hard serving that we just overlook missing orders. Rooms need some renovations and improvement
