About this campervan rental
Designed with adventure in mind, Babe is equipped to take you to the wild places on your Northern California bucket list. Named after Paul Bunyan's Blue Ox Babe, the V6 Turbo gets you over mountain passes, while the simple comfort and aesthetics make you feel at home wherever the road takes you. A Bluetooth enabled sound system (Android with CarPlay) allows you to find your way and connect your favorite soundtrack.
With a 148" wheelbase and high roof, there is plenty of room to spread out and stand tall while maintaining easy drivability and fitting within a standard parking spot at the next Grocery Outlet or Costco parking lot. Speaking of roof, did we mention the skylight and roof deck? Pop open the skylight and watch the stars while you sleep, or climb on top of the van for some luxurious sun-bathing.
With a swivel passenger seat, comfortable bench seat and Murphy-style split bed, Babe is perfect for lounging while out in the wild. The rear doors open fully to allow you to wake up to the Eastern Sierra sunrise or fall asleep in the desert moon-glow.
The full kitchen with fridge, sink, stove and oven (!) set you up for gourmet meals, while the propane water heater and 20 gallon fresh-water tank provides for hot outdoor showers and dish-washing needs. Locking drawers and ample under-bed storage provide for plenty of space for pantry, gear and all of your other necessities.
We can offer plenty of other amenities upon request including outdoor furniture, outdoor rug, and hiking sticks.
Equipped with solar panels and robust energy storage, the 2,000 watt inverter powers interior ambient, task and reading lights, AC and USB power sources to keep you powered and comfortable while off-grid and a kicking sound system. The Nature's Head composting toilet provides an easy solution to long stretches between rest stops.
The split ‘Queen’ Murphy Bed stores out of the way when not in use, allowing you to access milk-crate storage beneath or ‘Open up the Dance Floor’ if you feel like having a dance party. Please note that the configuration of the bed is shorter on one side than the other:
Driver’s Side: 32” x 80”
Passenger side: 34” x 64”
