Very family oriented and friendly

The hotel was in a great location. All the staff (with the exception of one) were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate but not a lot of choice.
I didn't like having to pay for wifi. I think the room ought to have a facility for making a hot drink.

The owner is very friendly and welcoming and could not be more helpful. Thank you for another great holiday

The location was amazing - 50m from the gondola can’t get more convenient.
Nothing to not like about this place.

My husband and I just returned from a five-night stay at this hotel. Monsieur Thibaut, the owner, greeted us warmly on the day we arrived. He is French and can communicate in English and Spanish. He informed us that this is a family-owned hotel that has been run by his family for four generations. The location is perfect. It is right next to the Olympe gondola lift, which will take you directly to Meribel Centre in 25 minutes. Our room was cozy, with a spacious ensuite bathroom and a lovely small balcony. Rooms are made daily and water is always hot. There is a heated shed that serves as a ski room where we store our boots and snowboards. Breakfast is served buffet style and is more than adequate. My husband and I enjoy going out for dinner in the neighborhood but during the times we ate at the hotel, the home-cooked 4-course dinner was always surprisingly delicious. There is a cheerful, friendly atmosphere among all the guests, which makes your stay enjoyable even if you are traveling alone.
Like most people who have stayed at this hotel, I was impressed by Monsieur Thibaut's kindness and warmth. We had a late train back to Paris on our final day. We had intended to extend our stay and pay for a late checkout, but our room was already booked on the day we were supposed to check out. Monsieur Thibaut offered to keep our luggage while we went snowboarding. He was also very gracious in allowing us to use his facility to change out of our ski gear before heading to the train station.
Beautiful hotel, excellent restaurant, and simply wonderful staff. I would recommend this charming hotel and would stay there again.
The soundproofing isn't great, but that's understandable given the age of the hotel.

Thibault works hard to make it a good stay
it’s like going back to the 80’s

Good location near the Gondola lift. Small, boutique hotel with atmosphere.
We could hear a lot of noise from neighboring rooms. Typical of old buildings, probably.

Excellent location for skiing in the 3 Vallées.
Thilbault and his team are fantastic.
The food is amazing, very well cooked and plenty for hungry teenagers. We were made for feel very welcome.

Great location of the hotel, super easy access to all 3 valleys via the gondola just 3min away (it takes about 20min to get to Meribel but the connection was so easy). Great and friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable, gave us great tips about renting equipment and the resorts in general. Food was excellent, tasty, homely and there was great selection of local wines and cheeses to try. The room was a bit dated but very clean, nice, cosy and we had access to a small terrace which was superb in the spring weather. We had a great time and will surely recommend.
The only negative was that Wi-Fi was not widely available throughout the hotel but solved by just getting a code. A fridge in the rooms could have also been nice for storing some small things during the stay.

The hotel is in a perfect location for the gondola. Food was excellent. Staff are really friendly

Great Breakfast and great location in Brides Les Bains
4.3
1) perfect location for skiers - 100m from the gondola.
2) very good value for dinner, bed and breakfast.
3) restaurant and bar on the premises.
4) well run family hotel (the manager is the 4th generation to run the hotel).
5) bath with plenty of hot water.
1) the bedding was sheets and blankets! I would have much preferred a douvet.
2) the single beds were narrow and lacked support.
3) I had to ask for a coupon to use the wifi.
4) more vegetables with the evening meal would have been appreciated.
5) no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

Good clean rooms and traditional French dishes. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Nothing!

Brilliant location right beside the Ski lift to Meribel. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. All our family had a great time and hope to return.
4.3
The breakfast was great, the room was larger than I expected, very warm, and the location was superb, right next to the ski lift with only a short walk.
My only complaint was that the beds were little on the hard side.
4.3
it is very close to the lift upto Meribel. it takes 20 minutes. the cost to stay is much better value than staying in Meribel.
some of the bedrooms are ready for refurbishment
4.3
There are not many hotels like this - charming, quaint, family owned. The food is hearty, feels home-made and includes all of the usual French classics. The common areas (dining + bar) feel social and relaxed. It is a very short walk to the lift which takes you straight into Meribel.
ou cannot go to this hotel expecting soulless, corporate, shiny, perfection like you will get at the big chains. But if you are after a different, more personal experience then you have to try it out!
