Corner Cottage is a semi-detached cottage in the heart of Bakewell in the Peak District. The cottage sleeps six people in three king-size double bedrooms which can all be twin rooms on request. There is also a shower room, a kitchen, an external utility and a sitting room with a dining area and a woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed patio with furniture. Corner Cottage makes a fantastic base with a number of stately homes and National Trust properties to discover.
Amenities: Gas central heating with woodburner. Electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer in external utility, TV with Freeview, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Stairgate and highchair. Off road parking for 2 small cars. Rear patio with furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 5 mins walk. Note: This property can only accept bookings that start from a Friday.
Region: The ultimate in year-round appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
Town: An attractive little market town retaining a delightful rural atmosphere and offering a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as frequent local farmers markets. There is an old 17th Century market hall in the town centre and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Bakewell is situated within the Peak District National Park and is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful region. Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach, and Alton Towers, Britains premier theme park, is only a short drive away.
