Great location, clean, room was as expected for the price at that time (long weekend).
The stairs are very awkward (steep and big steps), so not a great stay if you have mobility issues.
6.0
Not too expensive and well located
Bed could've been more comfortable tbh

No elevator. My room was on the third floor.

The location is quite central and the staff were really nice!
The shampoo and conditioner provided was not the best.

The room was adequate - really, all I wanted, except for the wall mounted flat screen TV which was superfluous. I don't care for most modern hotels with their tacky "contemporary" decor, ugly carpets, utilitarian equipment and wasted space. The small bathroom was nicely appointed, and unlike a great many newer hotels, had a shower head where it was actually possible to wash and rinse long hair. A taller toilet would have been better. When resting there on my second night it was fun to imagine I was in a 1920 novel just staying the night in a small hotel on a detecting journey, like Inspector Ian Rutledge from the Charles Todd novels. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking for the approximately 36 hours I used it cost me $18, less than I was expecting, actually. The underground parkade was about half a block away and had good security but was still a pretty dismal place.
This is a hotel that one might have stayed in for $5 a night in the 1960s and should have cost no more than about $70 per night now, but the actual price was astronomically inappropriate. While the room was pleasant enough, the view from the window was of the alley between rows of interesting buildings but in between were various items of refuse, including two large, empty spools and several full black garbage bags, and a nice tree. A bit of a mixed bag but interesting nonetheless. I did not like that there was no night staff at the facility to contact when there was very loud talking from 4:00 to 5:30 a.m., and again beginning at 6:30 a.m. I conveyed this to the desk in the morning and it did not occur on the second night. The stairs to walk up were not esthetically pleasing and covered with, it felt like, several layers of what I normally refer to as "never should have been manufactured" carpeting, a bit squishy to walk on. Handrails on both sides would have been safer. Hallways were narrow and dismal. I do love old buildings but this one could have been a little nicer!

Stairs to rooms are more a ladder than a staircase - beyond most people. No lift. Rooms small.

Location was great.
There was a weird smell when I entered the room. Maybe they never opened the room for years. I opened the windows but it did not go away. It was cold weather so I couldn’t leave the windows opened for long time. Other than that it was okay. Oh one more thing they charge $100 deposit which was not mentioned on booking.com so that was surprise for me.

The Hotel was in a good location, my room in general was clean, short of toilet paper, tv not working properly, noice in the night time, 2 nights I could not sleep because the neighbors were making noises.

We are very disappointed by hotel's attitude which is - according to booking.com conditions - obliged to issue an invoice. We even asked in advance and the hotel promised to do so and then at check-out refused. It was a business trip and without an invoice we cannot fulfill the lawful requirements.

The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. I was happy that we could put our luggage in a storage room on the day of our departure, as we had an evening flight.
Steep staircase to third floor - quite a climb! Also, I was a little surprised not to find a wardrobe or set of drawers in the room, so that it was impossible to unpack suitcases.

Location and customer service
Very small place. Lights in the room were very dim. Air conditioning was very low so it was hot. Bed was small. Washrooms were so small that when sitting on the toilet the kneed would touch the wall. The sink was very small. The lock on the room was defective so had to adjust the door and the key to align with the lock to lo k the room. No microwave in the room. Had to plug in fridge by myself. No lamp on the table. So basically survived in low light through and through. I would appreciate a partial refund or some more credits for my next travel please

comfortable bed. Very close to the subway.
No elevator. Very old. Smells of mold! Very bad neighborhood, junkies outside so they lock the hotel after midnight. The stuff said this Hotel is being used for one nighters mostly….
No proper lock on the door. They take 100$ deposit “in case you smoke”. And for all that it’s unreasonably expensive!

Great location in the city center and close to the subway station, very convenient. The room is simple but very clean. Friendly staff too.
