I liked that it felt like a home and less like a hotel.
We found a spider, also the closet that had mirrors were hanging so it felt like we had to be careful if we wanted to open it.

Only good thing was the location.
The place is definitely not comfortable for more than 3 people, pictures are by far way better than the actual place, beds are extremely basic and sounds awful, mattresses very uncomfortable, pillows too big and fluffy, if you need to turn te the light in the bedroom on you have to move an ugly closet right in front of the switch, two of the lights in the dining room are not working, the sliding door in the bedroom doesn’t work properly, there’s an ugly “danger” sign right besides one of the beds because they closed the balcony in order to make space for another bed in the same room…and plus all of that was very hard for me to get the “checking info”, I sent them emails twice asking for that and they got back to me saying other stuff but nothing about the info, but I got instead when we were leaving an email “suggesting” a tip for the cleaners, one of my friends got the “checking info” by someone there after a while waiting outside, till now I never got the email with that info and to make the situation even “better” I sent an email to see if they were a bit flexible with the “checking out” and it was denied, again…the place is not set properly for more than 3 people. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all! I added some pics about what I’m talking about.

The unit itself was well-kept and spacious for our family of 4 plus a baby. The shower was my favourite part and it was convenient having a washer/dryer unit.
The location - whilst convenient - was not great considering we have a baby. It’s really not an area where I felt safe. When we arrived at the unit, there was toothpaste smeared all over the keypad so I had to wipe off all of it before being able to key in the code. It felt like every block had a group of people huddling and doing drugs. Our car was damaged overnight during the first night we stayed. People overnight had taken stones and smashed the top of our car and scratched our windows. We were lucky to not have to deal with a shattered window, but it was still a crappy experience. If you’re arriving in Montreal without a car and you don’t have children, then I’d say it’s fine.

We stayed in apartment 1303 (on the ground floor) for 4 nights, welcoming 2024 there.
The place is small but adequate for 3 people, I think it would be very fair for 4, especially because of the second bed that is in the small living room.
The kitchen as well as its equipment is excellent! All the details of a real kitchen are planned. There is soap and sponge, there are paper towels, there is a dish towel, as well as all the equipment necessary for everyday cooking. In addition, the complimentary coffee, as well as condiments, oil, salt and sugar, were very useful. Although the space on the counter seems small, we had no problem preparing our meals.
For the activities we did, the location was excellent, and the area was very quiet, although there were homeless people in the surrounding area, you also saw it in other parts of Montreal, and also in Toronto.
The next thing we want to share are details but for us they were important.
he bathroom extractor fan was very loud, and there was no chance it wouldn't turn on, there is a single switch in the bathroom that activates the light and the extractor fan.
You can hear everything from the apartments above, the talk, the walking, the shower, the cistern. If you happen to be “good neighbors,” as luckily we were, this is not a problem at all.
Opening the sofa bed is not easy because it takes up the entire room (you have to move the armchair and table towards the dining area to be able to transform the sofa into a bed) and then there is no space to move around the room.
Both the sheets and the towels are dark, so you can't really appreciate their cleanliness. Plus the sheets were made of pure polyester so sparks flew every time you turned, Montreal is very dry.
But as we mentioned above, they are just details, the stay was great.

The place has a great location, it is clean and the staff was super helpful, we parked at the place next door and it was great too

Nice apartment in a classic Montreal building with good equipment for cooking, nice modern bathroom, tv with lots of channels. Only 100m from the Metro. 20 min walk to Palais des Congress, Chinatown, old Montreal.
A bit too much street light from street - but solved taping aluminum foil over them.

The property is located in the middle of the GAy Village. It is less than a 10 minute walk to anywhere in the Village and a 2 minute walk to the Beaudry Metro Station where you can easily travel to anywhere in Montreal. We took the Metro to the Botanical Garden and the Bell Center and didn;t need to change Metro lines. The apartment is very well equipped if you want to eat meals there, but it is also a short walk to many excellent restaurants. The owner promptly replied to any questions and gave us detailed information on how to access the apartment. It is an excellent value, and we would definitely stay there again.
We don't have any suggestions on how to improve the property.

The apartment was clean and tidy! Felt like the staff was super friendly and that they were always ready to help in case we needed it. The street where it is located is quiet and calm, only thing you could hear from outside was the rare pigeon.
The apartment itself has pretty much anything you might need, we didn't use everything, but from what we noticed, it felt that if we needed something, we most likely would find it in the apartment.
Our stay was during very hot days though the apartment had a good cooling system, so we had no issues whatsoever about the heat.
The apartment is located in an area that is close to a lot of things that can get easily accessed by foot, bike or bus. We walked the majority of the time, and used the electric bikes that can be found everywhere and can get you pretty much everywhere quickly.
All in all, I recommend this stay for it's price and what it offers, and thank you for having us!
Minor thing for us, even though we did not needed it, a place to hang clothes.

Property was okay
They don’t have centralised air conditioning.
A small portable air cooler was installed in the bedroom from which water was constantly leaking so it was messy all the time.
Tv remote was not working

Traveling in a group of separate families and couples, we could not have found a better location. The separate apartments gave everyone their own space and bathrooms, but the central courtyard provided a great communal area and fantastic, safe area for the kids to run around and play. We enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants and there was a market close by for grocery items. Very clean.
Be aware that parking is at a premium in this bustling area of town. We wished we had done some research ahead of time and figured out where and how to park most economically. Also be aware that there are some significant differences among the apartments offered by Montcalm. I was jealous of my sister's huge and comfortable space while mine was very small and did not have a closet. My kids had a better layout but had to walk up two steep staircases. So choose wisely! But, that aside, we would definitely stay here again--we would just be smarter :)

The property was clean and well maintained.
maybe should leave instructions in regards to the front door lock for example how to lock from inside and outside.
not much not to like to be honest. i personally have no complaints

Great stay! Very cozy apartment. It was a walking distance away from everything I needed. Hosts were very kind and great communicators. :)

clean homely environment .
parking was a headache - no one to help as we didn’t know French and passerby including police told us to go check the sign which was in French.
we tried to book parking online but it was unavailable ! luckily after few hours of searching we were able to knock on neighbour’s parking which then led to a better experience of our stay.

It's a great place to stay in Montreal. It's super comfortable, the kitchen and the bathroom have all the things that you will need, and the location is great! You can get by foot to many of the city's landmarks.

The location was excellent: right to a main street, close to a small supermarket. The kitchen is well stocked and there was even free coffee.
Nothing

Good size and well-equipped apartment and in a really great location.
The only bad thing - and unfortunately for me it was quite bad - is that the wooden floors/ceilings are really poorly insulated and you can hear every movement of inconsiderate upstairs neighbours. And that can mean being woken at 3am!

I stayed here for two weeks and it was a clean and comfortable property with attentive and always available management.
4.1
Very cosy, like we hosted in relative's home. There is everything you need in the apartments. Beds were very soft.
We came with heavy baggage and the apartment was on the second floor with high steps. Chairs, sofa and curtains need to be cleaned.
4.1
The apartment is very cozy, it had everything you would usually need. Coffee machine, hair dryer, iron & board, washing and drying machines, tv with common apps, internet was pretty fast. Apart from all that the location is pretty good, just a block away you'll find a lot of restaurants and fun places to go, bars, convenience stores, drag shows, pubs, and whatnot.
Excellent.
This unit is on the ground floor, so the floor itself is a bit cold, but they have a basket with slippers for you to wear, so well done. Sound isolation is not great so you can hear people coming up and down the stairs from the next unit.
Also, it happened only once so I guess I was out of luck, but the shower ran out of hot water, likely because we lined up to have a shower one after the other, we were a group of 3, maybe 5-10 min shower each, I am guessing other units had ppl using the hot water at the same time.

Stayed there mid nov 2022. What a clean, well located place. New management since August and this is definitely a go-back-to my next trip to Montreal!
Nothing that impacted the enjoyment but some lights weren't working (host said the electrician was coming the week after though!). Otherwise, all was well.
