Location
There is a massive construction project going on directly behind the building. The jackhammering and metal crunching started at 7am - should not pay full price for this location

Cómodo, bien ubicado y bonito.
Mucho ruido del exterior, la primera noche hubo gente trabajando en la calle a las 4:00am y un camión con una sirena de reversa haciendo ruido durante dos horas.
No hubo caja fuerte.
No está incluido el servicio de limpieza de la habitación.

The location was excellent. The hotel had everything we needed. I have no complaints about the hotel.
There was construction nearby, so it was very noisy at times.

Nichts
Baustelle vor dem Fenster, keine Sicht. Lärm und modriger Geschmack.

L’emplacement est top
Grande chambre
Lit confortable

Fantastic location - great for exploring the city, affordable nightly rates and very clean, modern rooms! Keith at reception was very helpful and explained the whole staying with Sonder process. We really enjoyed our stay here
Access codes are a little tricky as it doesn’t let you use the mobile key on the front door to the hotel - not a big deal but a little inconvenient when you are trying to juggle a lot of luggage and get in.

Muy bien ubicado. Personal amable. Comodo y limpio.

Great spot to head out to sights and restaurants. Quiet until construction starts. Constant construction.
Shower in room very difficult. Leaks water into main room.

Room size was good
I had bed bugs in my bed and the room did not feel fresh or clean at all. I reached out to the help line and they did absolutely nothing.

This is not your traditional hotel, I believe the business model is to eventually establish slightly upscale self-service hotels e.g., in Japan, to reduce cost and improve operating margins.
Don't sweat on online check-in, you will still be required to provide ID and check-in at the hotel reception. Read carefully what services are provided and not provided e.g., daily room housekeeping is not included. Location of the hotel is great but the portion of street outside the hotel is dirty, at least while I was staying there. Hotel is difficult to identify, it is immediately after Felice outdoor dining area. Coffee machine and coffee capsules are provided in room, small refrigerator and basic toiletries. However, no complimentary water bottles. No in-house restaurant, room service or breakfast. You can order from Felice though.
The hotel has rustic interior design, which I liked a lot.
Hotel staff is not courteous at all. Not only the staff but expect guests staying at the hotel to be dry, rude and arrogant. There was couple waiting for elevator to go down on my floor. When I got out of my room and walked to elevators, I said good morning and waited with them for the elevator. When the elevator arrived (empty), I waited for them to enter the elevator first since they were waiting before me (it is called etiquettes), the couple entered and the man immediately started pressing the close door button to leave without me, I noticed while I was entering the elevator and the door while closing hit me. I immediately got out of the elevator and let them leave without me (I am brown, and Muslim so completely understand their emotion and respect them). During most of my stay I mostly didn't get a response whenever I used to greet any hotel staff or guests (but this is not how rest of NYC and USA is like). Don't expect a lot from the hotel staff e.g., possibility of early check-in, assistance with your baggage, calling you a cab etc. Again, the model is to be a self-service hotel. I got a room at around 11:30 p.m. while the check-in time is 4:00 p.m. I left my luggage with the reception staff, and it was mishandled, slightly damaged. Also, ask them to hang your suits.

I loved everything. From the rooms to the location and ambience. But most importantly, the staff were absolutely fantastic. They were some of the most kind, caring, friendly people I have met in NYC. I had a bit of a rough late night one time with my phone being broken, and the staff was so caring and helped me through it!!! As a solo person traveling to America for the first time, the team truly made my stay so safe and amazing!!! I will definitely be coming back!!!!
Thank you again to all you lovely beautiful people at Sonder.

Location 5min walk from Central Park
The room was big enough for our family.
Stuff was very kind and helpful

front entrance is a construction site with rubbish strewn on footpath - it was hard to identify that this was supposed to be a premium hotel. The night time noise levels inside the room on 9th floor were unacceptable. I think the double glazing has failed because the windows can be opened and the noise gets in through those loose seals.

Balcony closed and we were not notified... we rented the room based on the balcony.

Absolutely lovely staff. Could not have been more pleasant the room and amenities in it or absolutely perfect.
Very little not to like. There were a few upholstery and carpet items in the lobby that could have been cleaned.

1. Location
2. Overall facilities
1. Additional charge for housekeeping (USD 70 each time)
2. Sofabed was quite uncomfortable

Location, old world ambience, quiet and private
No housekeeping/cleaning (only for a steep charge). No kitchenette or equipment (eg microwave) despite having a dining table. Lighting in the living room could be better. Could not read a book other than on the bed

The location near Central Park was fab, the room spacious, bed comfortable and we liked that there was a little fridge and safe available.
The windows didn't open so no fresh air, which wasn't great. They're also busy with renovations which would've been nice to know.

The location is excellent. The selection of restaurants along the neighborhood makes Sonder a go to place to stay when in NYC. I will definitely come back.
None!

location is very good. Rooms are good, but not exceptional.
All quite no-frills and basic/not very luxurious. Rooms could do we a bit of a refresh. There’s very little staff on site and no housekeeping for instance, so you need to make up your own bed if you stay more than one night.

A spacious, clean, and comfortable room, located near the 57th and 53rd subway and close to places like the MoMA. Wonderful front desk staff, too. My thanks to Keith and his colleagues.

Everything was great!
Staff were invisible for the most part, but helpful with inquiries.
Location is *perfect*, a minute's walk from Central Park and easy walking distance from Times Square.
We had a Queen Room and King Suite with Balcony, and the suite was worth every extra penny so I highly recommend choosing it if your budget allows.
Little tip: the suite has an extra toilet discreetly tucked away (pictured), so if you're using the sofa as an extra bed the occupants will be able to go to the bathroom without disturbing the occupants in the king bed. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere, so thought I'd let folks know in case it is useful.
edit: oh, and the shower was amazing!
Of course, you already know that if you've read pretty much any other review here... but I can confirm it was as good as others have said!
Nothing, can't wait to return!

Great location, nice room, usual excellent NYC shower! Coffee maker that passes as a kettle (NOT a kettle). Fridge.
We stayed for two weeks, and cleaning was $70+Tax per day extra. Not included. We paid once. Poor job. Had to do ourselves after that.
Had to ask for towels, and sheets, and do yourself. No one tells you until you ask at the desk. And you have to ask daily if you want changed, can't be logged.
No amenities at all. No bar, restaurant, food, .... plenty outside though in easy walk.
So not really a hotel at all, just a small apartment without a kitchenette, or cleaners etc.
