Be careful of your bill from this hotel. This hotel has tried to overcharge me.

I booked this hotel, DoubleTree, Kamloops from Booking.com for CAD$216.11 for 2 nights (Tax included). When I checked in, the staff handed over a check-in agreement to me. On the agreement, the rate was CAD$270 for 2 nights (Tax included). I discovered the problem and rejected the agreement. I had to argue with the staff and showed her my booking on the cell phone. She blamed Booking.com for not informing them the price charge. Then she corrected the rate to be CAD$216.11 for 2 nights. On the day of check-out, their staff slipped a bill through our room door, a common Hilton practice. The bill charged us CAD$240.12 for 2 nights. I had to come down to the front desk to argue with them again. At the end, they changed the bill to be CAD$216.12. CAD$0.01 above my argeement with Booking.com I have filed a compliant to Booking.com. about the overcharging practice. At the end, the hotel refund me CAD$0.01. However, until today, I have not received any apology from this hotel. Is it the attitude of a hotel by Hilton that the hotel can charge whatever rate the hotel likes when the guests check-in or/and live in the hotel?

Clean and comfortable room, the amenities exceeded my expectations!

Hotel needs to think about guest comfort simple temperature control for a comfortable temperature

The heating control would not allow us to change temperature. We were told system was on sleep mode and could not be charged. They offered a fan but what good is that when room was too hot 22 c we ended up opening the window with out side temperature in the minus so mite as well been sleeping in a barn. Will not stay there again.

Disappointed Customer

Carpets and Couches very dirty. Shower/ toilet area very tiny. Room was ok. We booked for 3 adults and breakfast is provided for 2 / room. Room was very humid , had to leave the windows open for fresh air n to cool down the rooms. Very disappointing for such a recognized name as HILTON..

The breakfast menu was torn paper … very tacky. Unprofessional for double tree or Hilton style. No fond of Indian food so rather disappointed

Staff was pleasant and thelocation was very good and why We chose this hotel in the first place.

Our room was filthy. Dust everywhere dirty shower, melted ice water from the last guests was left in the ice bucket. It makes you wonder if the sheets were even switched.

The food in the restaurant was lovely Rooms good size.

The noise level. There were children and adults shouting and banging doors most of the evening. I phoned reception to make them aware of this, but nothing was done. Bad service on their part.

We chose the Hilton DoubleTree for its location & price point for our 1 night need. The beds & pillows were super cozy. The new ownership restaurant food was very delicious 😋

I think since the hotel is going through a renovation project at this time. It would be wise and highly recommended to upgrade & improve in each room, the coffee ☕️bar & makers. They are worn out & the coffee was less than satisfying because of it.

Never again crossed you off my list for all the traveling. I do I will never stay at a hilton again

There was no pool there was no hot tub. There was no sauna. The carpets in the hallway were all turned up. The baseboards were all turned up the elevator was a mess. The restaurant was very hard to understand anything on the menu but a hamburger bathrooms were very small will not pick Hilton again

The staff was very friendly and apologetic for the renovations.

Not up to Hilton standards

Charged for water, no working ice machines in whole hotel, no vending machine on our floor (had to buy their ridiculously priced water,) they entered our room to install a new TV when we had ‘do not disturb’ sign on, under construction, workout room closed (I know the pool was seasonal,) wall were SO thin! We could hear our neighbours at all hours, elevators stunk like cigarettes, our fridge in our room was unplugged and ruined some oat milk we brought for making coffees. They are changing over management, so no one cares about complaints or making the stay acceptable.

Cookies, opportunity for three beds and proximity to Sandman centre. Staff were very pleasant.

Bathroom was tight for a multi purpose room and recommend moving mirror outside bathroom where there is a plug in and more light. Having a sink in kitchen area would help a lot for a suite type room.

This is a good place to stay if you are attending a sporting event at the Sandman Center.

Good location to downtown. Short walk to the Sandman Center and to bars and restaurants.

Decent, but needs a bit of love.

No hassle with having our dogs.

The outside of the property was filthy. No grounds keeping as there was litter sitting for at least two days in the planters out front of the lobby entrance, litter throughout the parking area. Shower in the room had mold in the corners.

I liked that they allowed pets at the property however it is definitely not a pet friendly area. I liked the restaurant in the hotel it was great food with fantastic prices

the hotel room as well as property within and surrounding was very unclean. it’s evident there isn’t much upkeep put into the hotel especially on the second floor there are stains all over the carpet. our room appeared clean however the carpet was filthy and the room was tiny: there was about a 3-4 inch gap under the front door which made it less than private
