We had a room on a second floor overlooking the beach. Breakfasts on the patio (use the kitchen to make your own, hail a passing-by banana bread or pineapple vender, or carry up from the restaurant) were gorgeous. Inside our room's A/C was strong and so appreciated - boosted by three ceiling fans and another floor fan. Clean room and beds. Helpful, friendly staff. Easy access to beach (steps away) and short walk to other sites and activity venders. Onsite (3rd party) activity vender booth had lower prices. Good value. Office managers were - Miranda and Emily - were amazing.
Room needs a little maintenance: broken glass block at foot of shower, broken toilet paper dispenser, patio door lock broken. No fire extinguishers to be found. Pool was small and not attractive.

La ubicación
Esperaba más de las instalaciones.. Cabañas un tanto descuidada, mal olor de las alcantarillas de los baños... Incluso un día entraron cucarachas por la ducha, que no tenía rejilla

I love the location and the staff is super nice, warm and welcoming. They walk you to your room and show you around. They have security walking around all day/night and the pool is open all day and night. The bungalows are spacious, clean and in front of the beautiful, pristine beach. It honestly felt like paradise!!
There’s nothing I didn’t like other than not being able to stay longer.

1st. the location, it’s just amazing, bungalow water front, sunshines and sunsets were spectacular, when the rest of the beach was crowded, we had quiet and relaxing time, at the same time near from everything… restaurant and the new supermarket just few steps from the hotel.
the massage ladies fighting between the one in the hotel and the ones who are walking around the beach. the hotel food it’s not good neither fresh, but are many places around to go to eat. needs more kitchen supplies.

Staff were friendly.
Definitely showing its age, its looking tired and run down in comparison to the photos with luke warm water at best in the shower.
Note: If snorkeling is your thing the reef is the far end of the beach

Got there with my wife Monica. We were there from August 18-22. From day one till we left everything was great!! All the people working at this Hotel are fantastic and friendly, will do anything to please you, always ready to assist. The cabin has everything you need, it is like a small studio, could see the beach from my balcony, the water is just steps away. The location of the hotel is the best, as it is almost at the end of the beach which puts you away from the mad house of all the hotels around, it could get very busy around those hotels. Along the beach there are several places to eat and other hotels. The beach is almost like a pool hardly no waves and the water is so clear you can see your toes. The breakfast at Foster is the best with Johnny making sure we always get a great breakfast with a table overlooking the water, so relaxing. When we arrived we met Emily at the front desk, she was very nice and helpful. When we left we check out with Miranda, who also was very friendly and informative. The cabin is dated but very clean. I will go back as soon as I can. This is the place to leave your worries at home and come and completely relax. We just had death in our families and this Hotel gave us the peace of mind we needed and the people working at the hotel make sure you are happy. There are many things to do around the Island if you want, if not, just lay back and relax. The hotel can make arrangements for airport pick up and back and also some island tours. We met a fantastic brother/sister tour operators Ariel and Yadira they give the best tours of the island. Saludos a Emily y Miranda!!!
More time would be better. A safe in the room could help and maybe a hairdryer

The staff did there best making sure we were comfortable and we’re helpful and friendly. Its right on the beach.
This place seemed unorganized, and the room we stayed in, the door had a gap so bees and crabs came into our room. The bathroom door was broken so it couldn’t be shut for privacy. Room was also outdated

I like my room had the view of the water.
My room looked older than it appeared on picture. It was very clean so that made up for it. When the rain came down the patio accumulated water and I had to sweep the water so it won’t come to my room.

Rooms were spacious, showers were spacious, with good hot water and adequate water pressure. Pictures and Views were as represented. Staff were friendly, courteous, family oriented, and always ready to lend assistance on any matter, including booking trips, at the best available prices.
Property was located on the quiet end of West Bay Beach, and our stay was relaxed, and laid back, island style…exactly the experience we were looking for!
Annie’s Grill (on the property) prepared excellent Breakfasts and snacks, in fact we tended to eat breakfasts there even while staying at other hotels with buffets included. Beachers restaurant (just down the beach) prepared excellent lunch/dinner meals, as well. The on property bar, had really cold beer, at normal prices, and the bar was relaxed and never overly crowded.

Our family of 5 absolutely loved the rustic charm of this resort. We wanted to experience a more island vibe, and from the first few minutes of arriving the adults had a cold drink in our hands while the 3 boys joined the locals jumping from the platform into the blue sea. Most importantly- everyONE at Fosters is friendly and welcoming. The location was beyond perfect. Quieter than other areas of West Bay, beautiful sandy beach and incredible snorkeling steps away! Diving and dining right next door. It was the vacay we all dreamed of and we can’t wait to return.
