Good location, nice lobby bar.
No in room coffee, dismal room decor,
3.4
Convenience of the location
I think it’s horrible that they enforce a $25 charge to use the microwave!

If you’re expecting a luxurious stay ur in for a surprise. Cheap decor, felt like a dressed up motel, elevators were so tight - better off staying at a holiday inn - also had to pay for wifi

Tried to move a reservation. After multiple emails, phone calls to front desk, etc. did not get a single response back. Ended up getting charged for a room I didn't stay in because there is no way to communicate with staff. Will never book here again.

The ground floor and first floor of the Hotel are exceptionally decorated… A real pleasure to experience.. We were staying for a wedding and the atmosphere was fantastic.
Our room was modern and clean and the bed itself was comfortable. The bathroom was modern and very very spacious ( possibly it was an accessible bathroom). However there were a few problems with the room we had in our opinion.. A) There were no coffee making facilities in the room itself ( .. a machine could be ordered I presume at a fee ) . B) The room was absolutely huge with a wall of built in shelving units (all bare so it felt totally spartan and lifeless and just needed an extra design touch here and there to make it more welcoming C) We were on one of the top floors facing the inner “courtyard” (as we had forgotten to ask for a street facing view) but the issue was the noise … mechanical noise all night …possibly coming from the services on the roof… at first we thought it was the room’s AC but even when this was fully off the noise was off putting and definitely effected sleep. We would choose our room carefully were we to stay again.

Location
Staff not helpful. Charged me for breakfast even though I had 'breakfast included' on my booking. They have a so called policy of a $50 ceiling for 2 guests which is not enough for 2 entrees and 2 drinks (not including coffee either)

It was a nice location within the loop
No parking on building and off-site garage parking $65 a day. Building was half clean.

The location is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Really like the entrance and bar area.
The water pressure was PITIFUL. It was bad enough that the valve to turn the shower head on wouldn't hold. Had to hold the button in and the water barely ran out of the shower head. Was not possible for two people to shower together. Toilet would not flush at night due to low water pressure. The shower head itself was very small and made it harder to shower along with the low pressure issue. If we didn't have the water pressure issue this would have been at least a 9 out of 10 stay. This stay was for our 13th wedding anniversary. Made it difficult to feel clean, fresh and relaxed.

Location is great, staff members are friendly and willing to help
I felt it was overpriced (value for money). The room was very small but the overall stay was nice.

Amazing beautiful lobby and bar, the rooms and halls are outdated, elevators smell atrocious

Good location, clean and comfortable room
Sometimes noisy

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel provided all the amenities one would expect for the price.
In mid June ( ! ) the temperature in Chicago was bitterly cold. This was reflected in the hotel room, the air-conditioning causing an uncomfortable chill, despite my trying to adjust the dial.

You had to pay for wifi. Dark small rooms.

Very friendly staff, room very clean, comfortable bed
No closet, no option to hang clothes. Bathroom tidy, but small and rather old.

Location was great; we came in via Amtrak, so it was really convenient, additionally, close to a brown line metro station. Room was very small, but comfortable and clean.
Room supposedly had breakfast included, but when we arrived, that wasn't the case. That said, the breakfast we did purchase in the hotel restaurant was very good.

like only the matress
Very bad , not even a kettle in the room for hot water.

It's a W hotel, but not as spectacular as some of the European ones. A bit mundane by commparison.
Great breakfast quality.

Hotel is ideally situated in downtown. The bar and social areas are good. Rooms are comfortable and staff friendly.
The noise of the trains.

The bed is clean, and W listen my requirement, arrange a high-floor room, 20L is very good!
The room service is fast and professional, I like the in time bottle water and towel.
The booking.com conflicts with W, which makes breakfast a bad exprience at the end:
It took us more than 30 minutes waiting the hotel to make sure our breakfast is paid when booking
Why can't they just let us go and check the breakfast later after I provided enough info?
Meanwhile, the manager didn't provide any discount or appology for that...

very modern looking with vibrant colors

The bed was perfect! Super soft sheets, non-spring mattress. I slept so well.
The decor and room arrangement was very appealing!
The bathroom was HUGE - but empty.. Really could've used a ledge or a small table next to the toilet. (somewhere to put my phone down during toilet-paper time).
The head/shade on the desk lamp was ridiculously sticky for some reason. And the mini-fridge had dried-up spills in it.
Also, took a long time to call an elevator - even with 4 main cars, and a service car running.
