Beautiful place
People in rooms next door were very loud and I couldn’t sleep

The quality of food, it tastes absolutely the best!
The decoration was impressive!
Everything was perfect!
8.0
Location and suite with view.
Plaza team members were mostly unengaged to borderline rude - specifically, the men who stood at the door of the tea room area and the room service operator.

She shower flooded the room so we had to move and were late for dinner. Service was terrible.

This hotel was amazing. I felt safe and secure which was super important. I love that you are only allowed inside if you are staying there or have reservations for tea. The staff was so incredibly kind. The in-room dining for breakfast was so nice and delicious!! I love the turn down service and the shower fixture was phenomenal; the pressure was great and the water stayed hot which is hard to come by in hotels. Everyone we spoke with on staff was accommodating and more than willing to help!
I would have loved to check in a little earlier. I also would have liked the “breakfast included” to be a little more clear with their wording. I received a $50 credit each day which was very different than “breakfast included” which led me to believe breakfast was free and included in my nightly price. I would have ordered it either way but would have liked to have known up front that it was only a $50 credit.

One of the grande dames of the city. Luxury. Does deserve a spruce up to really bring it up to where it belongs.
Could not even sit at the hotel bar for a drink while waiting for my partner, as seating is limited and evidently all is reserved. The public spaces are also a bit dated.

The restaurant, bar and reception staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The location of this hotel is excellent.
The vegan breakfast options here were very limited (there was basically oatmeal and fruit) but my main issue was that the doorman/security was rude and intimidating, and seemed to have a grudge against me for no good reason.
On my first night, a security guy came to my bedroom door and knocked loudly around midnight to say there had been a noise complaint - even though I was in the room alone and working quietly on my laptop. I had to open the door to show him that there was nothing going on inside my room, despite the fact that I was wearing my pyjamas.
On the third day of my stay, I asked the hotel doorman if a colleague could join me in the lobby for coffee/a meeting. The doorman told me that he couldn't, but in a rude and somewhat aggressive manner - questioning me about how I knew this person and what line of work we did (I truthfully told him we were environmental reporters here for Climate Week). My colleague then walked away and I entered the hotel alone.
I went back to my room and a few moments later the doorman showed up, asked me if I had anyone hiding in my room (I showed him that I didn't) and then angrily threatened to eject me from the hotel if I tried to sneak anyone inside. I asked him "why would I do that?", and he just repeated his stern warning. I was upset and shaken by this odd encounter and immediately reported the incident to the front desk, where a man apologized but didn't do anything further than that.
I paid a lot of money to stay at this "prestigious" hotel, and was there to report on the Earthshot summit being held site on behalf of a prominent environmental charity. I doubt I'll stay there again given how i was treated.

Excellent location, lovely staff, cute and very clean room, great food and cocktails.
Lack of options for the room with a view

Great Service at the Champagne restaurant; excellent food. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent and the shower had an individual temperature controller which made the shower feel like a spa session.
Service was not as good at the Palms restaurant. The Hostess sat us in a crowded cluster with other diners when there was plenty of room throughout the restaurant and then told us it was because she was expecting other guests; no other guests arrive during the entire hour we were dining.

The suite was just as we hoped it would be! Luxurious and comfortable, elegance from another era but with the bathroom upgrades you'd expect.
Room service was quick and friendly. Cleanliness was top drawer. We tried other luxury hotels in the past, but...
The Plaza is the best!
The view was south, so looking into office windows. Next time, park view if available to rooms, and not just to condos.

Ambience was exceptional. Location perfect. Staff first rate. And it sounds silly but the shower was phenomenal - best I've ever experienced at a hotel.

great location and facilities. like to mention Oliver in particular- went above and beyond. he is a credit to the hotel, based on level 4 Gold level.

The property is extremely clean and charming. The gold-themed decor transports you to another world.
For all the luxury and opulence, the staff (especially the security) are extremely rude. Unless you arrive in a luxury car reeking of wealth, you don't deserve respect and hospitality in their eyes. Also, we ordered in breakfast at our room. What would've been a $30 meal (quantity and quality wise) ended up costing us $175.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were quiet and clean. We loved the location next to the park. The gym was well outfitted.
Parts of the hotel were still closed like the Oak Room/Bar and the stores downstairs. The hotel had overpowering smell in the lobby and common areas that could be toned down. Turn down service was nice but typically hotels like this leave a night time treat for turn down services. The hot water in the shower was not very hot and slow to heat up.

Quality staff and service. Accommodations are always exceptional.
