Rooms were big and clean, beds were comfy. Balcony had a beautiful view of the beach- walk to the pier. Pool was great also
Nothing bad to say about this spot- would recommend

Location
Construction, only one working elevator,
Wore out AC units, having to move to a different room do to broken AC. We paid for a king superior room, and had to move to a plain double room with no price break.
The staff was very friendly except for the Longboard bar.
Will not stay there again!!!

We enjoyed the pool. The ocean view from the rooms balcony was beautiful.
Charged us $15 per night to park. Breakfast was $22 for the worst continental breakfast. Our car was hit in the parking lot and we received no help from management on reviewing cameras to follow up or file a claim.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The balcony looking at the beach was phenomenal. The location is close to the Galveston Pleasure Pier and more. Complimentary bicycles are also available for use during the day. And the pool is great!
The staff was also very nice.
They should not be charging for parking. That is ridiculous. Some of the hallways could use some renovating. And the main elevator still is not working.

Perfect location. Clean room with excellent AC. Quiet. Charming balcony overlooking the seafront. Quality bed and towels.

This is my son's favorite hotel to stay when we come for his appointment to see his surgeon. He had an appointment on May 31st and we had booked our room, but his appointment was postphoned so I called on May 13 to ask to cancel our reservation temporarily and for a refund due to the circumstances being out of our control, but the hotel wouldn't help me. They said it was because Booking.com stated I didn't give enough notice.. Booking.com told me they were waiting for reply from the hotel. They never canceled the reservation or gave us a refund or credit.
So no, I can't give a positive rating.
Not being able to request refund until my son's appointment was rescheduled.

Cleanliness. Could have been better

The location was amazing just steps from the beach
The bed was horribly firm couldn’t sleep very well, the air conditioner was very loud and had two thermostats ??, the pull down window shade did not block out outside light much at all (either the porch light or sunlight), the breakfast buffet that is ALWAYS complimentary at EVERY hotel I’ve ever stayed in was NOT COMPLIMENTARY and they changed $22 per person to eat what was poorly prepared and DEFINITELY NOT WORTH PAYING FOR !!

La habitación muy buena
Las alfombras y lugares comunes muy mal tenidos

Good location. Comfortable bed. Rita in the restaurant is such a hard worker, but way over worked. One person to attend to all the tables, bring juice, coffee, set up silverware. After breakfast we would see her bringing food out to the pool area too! Appreciate all she did!
We had read complaints about non-working elevators. Even after all those complaints, for months, the elevator was still broken! Everyone waiting to use the maintenance workers elevator.
The front desk staff were “ok”. One day we were heading to the beach with pool towels and the woman at the front desk told us we couldn’t bring pool towels to the beach. I asked her “ what are we going to sit on?” Instead of offering suggestions she didn’t say anything. Later we saw there was a truck that pulls up to the beach with umbrellas and chairs for rent. There was also a nearby souvenir shop that rented chairs.
I was a little surprised at check-out that the woman at the front desk didn’t ask how our stay was or wish us a safe trip home. Other hotels we have stayed at, including other Hiltons, have had staff that are more welcoming.

great staff, view from our rm
parking and breakfast should be included in the stay, hotel needs a big update
8.0
Good location with great ocean views
Room was clean but could use an update. The coffee maker didn’t work. Charge for parking at hotel didn’t make sense because you self park.

Clean, nice room, great view.
Arrived very early but day clerk was able to get us a room right away and was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were extremely polite and efficient.
We think the pool may have needed cleaning but it was too cool for swimming anyway. The evening clerk seemed grumpy. Not rude but certainly not friendly.

Was told we could arrive at 2 for our room, I understand 4 pm is check in time which we were surprised and happy to hear.
Didn’t get in our room till 5pm.
Elevator was broke.
No updates about our room until it was ready. No one seemed to care.
Bartenders in the longboatd bar were great.
I have been staying in this property for over 6 years. It seems to continue to fall below the Hilton standard.

location is great
elevator was extremely slow and window closure didn’t work

Easy access to the beach and restaurants Quiet
Service was inconsistent. Check in and out we’re good. Food and bar areas need attention. only one person doing everything in the cafe area on Sunday morning. only one out of the there servers in the bar area was attentive. The others would walk past and wait on others . Felt like I was invisible.

Location & work out room
1) Front desk staff
2) Elevator didn’t work
3) No info offered regarding area & things to do.
4) Room was very “dated”
5) Expectation for a Doubletree & Hilton Hotel we’re most definitely not net. Did not get our moneys worth.
1.0
That it was on the beach front.
One of my beds was not clean. I had to get clean sheets from the housekeeper. Now my card is still pending for the room and TWO SEPARATE incidental fees. The staff couldn’t explain why it was charging me twice and the claimed the system was down and they couldn’t give me a receipt!!! Three of the rooms that my family had were not clean and had other issues!!!
10.0
The bed and room was extremely comfortable, the balcony overlooked the pool and ocean and it was close to a lot of restaurants and attractions.
Everything was great.
3.0
The location and view
The remote didn't work, the charger that was on the table also didn't work and was even not connected. And the price for 1 night is quite expensive for such service. Parking is not included in price. The hotel requires some renewal work.

Early morning walk on the beach at low tide as the sun was coming up over the Gulf..

View from balcony was great! Location is in the middle of everything. Pool was excellent with bar for adults!
Had to pay $15 for parking. Overpriced.
