The room was very comfortable there is a steamer in the room. The beds are super comfy too. The pool lovely and a full bar is provided. I did feel that the menu was very small and not flexible.
The menu in the restaurant and the pool was small and not flexible. The service wasn't great in the restaurant, very slow you had to keep reminding them to bring you HOT coffee, coffee is already made and just poured into flasks. The menu is very small and does not offer healthy options.

Beautiful. Convenient.

Very clean and quiet.
The rooms were a little small and only a desk chair otherwise you sat on the stool at the end of the bed or on the bed.

Nothing. We ended up not staying and getting a refund. We paid for a deluxe ocean view room and they put us in a tiny room overlooking an alley. When we went back down to the front desk we were told that due to some AC issue our room was given to other people and there was no comparable room available for us.

Literally the morning we were already on the road driving to the hotel, we received a call stating there was no water or electricity for 24 hours. So we were not able to stay the weekend we had scheduled. We travel 3 hours and already had taken the day off from work and had no other hotel that had an opening. Ruined a weekend!! No sympathy or any accommodations were offered for the MAJOR inconvenience….. very unprofessional

Beautiful…great beds
Phone didn’t work. Coffee maker didn’t work. Drapes wouldn’t close

I loved the location and the pool was beautiful most of all. The woman at the front desk with funky glasses was delightful.
The bar downstairs with the red chandeliers. The waitresses were spending a lot of time chatting and I waited for a drink for about 20 minutes. Then when I finally ordered, she seemed annoyed and I was charged 25$ for ONE drink. Also, I’ve stayed here several times and the valet has been chaotic each time. There has to be a better way to do it.

Pool area, location
1. You had to ask for the room to be made up. No one told me that at check in so I went for 3 days with no fresh anything. Finally called and that was what I was told.
2. The shower was so complicated that it needed instructions. Same with Nespresso machine. A simple shower and coffee maker would have been much better.

I liked the location. The restaurant was very delicious.
The room was not as it was described on the website. The pool was dirty.

Location
The elevator didn’t work properly. It was extremely slow. We thought we were stuck. Later that day we were in the same elevator with other guest who began to panic because they too thought they were stuck. I had to ease their panic by explaining that the elevator wasn’t working properly. There was no sign anywhere explaining that the elevator wasnt functioning properly. The phone in the room did not work at all. The tv required special instructions that were not provided in the room. The food at the monarch was below mediocre. Went to complain about the above to the “manager” who said there was nothing he could do about it. We went to the spa. The robes were old, the blankets on the message table were smelly and old. After explaining it to him again he offered $25 off my 1300+ bill. I declined the offer asked to speak with someone else. He gave me the business card of another manager. I haven’t had a chance to contact her

Great location and classy feel.
pool was closed, restaurants were not open, coffee shop was not open. Too much money for a closed up hotel.

The espresso bar and the on site restaurant were a nice luxury to have during the stay. We also enjoyed the history displays and learning about the storm of 1900.

The room and bed were perfectly fine. Nothing over the top but very good. We were there for Mardi Gras and the location was excellent for the parades on the Seawall. My daughter and I could easily walk to the beginning of the parade and the Pleasure Pier across the street.
What wasn't made clear when I made the reservation, was that the pool was being renovated, but I think they closed it because it was Mardi Gras weekend. There was construction going on in the building and half of my floor had paper laid down on the hallway carpet. There were a lot of guests and the bar staff was overwhelmed. Quite frankly, they weren't the best bartenders especially for the pace they demonstrated. The phone in the room also didn't work nor did they have any movies to rent on the TV.

Really nice hotel.
Would have liked a little larger refrigerator. We travel with meds that need to be refrigerated.

The place is BEAUTIFUL. Just wonderful, and such a history. If you were to stay during the summer, the beach is across the street! Fabulous restaurant, drinks were great. We will for sure be vacationing here again.
I literally can't think of anything.

Nice newly renovated lovely old building
It was impossible to order room service from the room. I had to call the landline of the hotel wait for 5min in the queue to get food to the room
