Any port in a Storm….

Kind of a Monopoly in Everglades City…only 3 choices @ 2 are owned by this company… Parking needs to be refigured, cars are not the size they were in 1962! Maybe put a chair/table in room 18….if you want to sit you have the toilet or the bed! 🤣

Empfehlenswert für Stopp in Everglades.

Nach anfänglichen Problemen mit unserem Motelzimmer half uns Deanna von der Rezeption sehr engagiert, kompetent und freundlich weiter, sodass wir ein anderes sehr ansprechendes Zimmer im Inn beziehen konnten. Für einen Besuch der Everglades empfehlenswert. Alle touristischen Anlaufstationen in der Nähe.

Unhappy with this facility & the staff

Location

We were told we could get in at 3p. We got to the room at 4:30 & it was being cleaned. We had to wait for the maid to finish while we stayed outside. Once we got in, the tv did not work. It took more than 5 hrs & 4 phone calls to get someone to come out. They sent the cleaning woman because her husband, the maintenance man, was sleeping. She did not know what to do & finally got herb husband on the phone & got it fixed.

Good base if you have plans in the area, not much atmosphere in the evenings

The room was very spacious and well equipped. We had a nice meal and cocktails at The Diving Pelican but watch out for the mosquitoes if you are walking (15 mins)

They are currently making a lot of improvements to the road and walkways so parts of Everglade City look a bit deserted/derelict. Calling it a City is misleading as it is a few houses and restaurants that are spread out over a wide area. Good base for breaking up a journey or if you love fishing.

Wasn't expecting much when booking but was surprised. Clean. Good location. Spacious. Worth noting you need to check in at another building and it's not very straightforward to see if you drive straight to the address for the hotel.

It was quite pricey but it could be because we booked last minute.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but the room was brand new and very nice. Bed very comfortable, huge shower.

Our stay was quick, quiet, and comfortable. Staff were polite and friendly.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Quiet at night for sleep. We only stayed overnight so we didn't spend much time in the area. Shower is great. The bathroom had recently been remodeled.

The area is recovering from Hurricane Ian. the area businesses are doing a great job welcoming & servicing visitors.

The cleanest facilities we have visited. Everything was freshly painted as well a nicely furnished.

1)Checking in was late arrival. Managed by another location and nearly missed the time to get my room. Was not notified of that and the directions at the sites were not good. 2) Seriously, this is 2023. No satelite or in and out was bad.

Exceptional

Very spacious, clean and well-furnished motel room that was completely renovated recently. This motel in Everglades City exceeded our expectations in every way, would definitely recommend staying there for airboat tours or to go fishing. In addition, the staff at the Ivey House who manage the motel check-in were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for making our stay there memorable and enjoyable!

The necessary renovations made what looked like a 2-star facility into a solid 3-star facility.

The property looked like a 2-star but I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. A recent 3-foot tidal surge had devastated the property but the 100% renovation was really nice.

There was no phone in the room and operating the TV was almost impossible because there were no directions. I eventually got it working by randomly pushing buttons but it was very frustrating.

Quiet, clean, comfortable motel with a cafe next door.

Beds were comfortable, air con worked well, there was a bath as well as a shower over. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There was a cafe next door which served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Captain Jack s airboat tours were very good.

Reception isn't at the motel so you have to check in elsewhere and then there are no staff on-site. September is the quiet month in Everglades City so nearly everywhere was shut.

We were there during mosquito season. Door has little spaces where insects can get through. Maybe they should make a doorstop?

Good value for the money, and I recommend it for overnighting and visiting the Everglades.

Ideally located when you want to visit the Everglades and make airboat tours etc. The room are spacious and clean. The air conditioning is reasonably quiet.

Good sized room with large bathroom. Lots of towels. Bed was ok. Check in is off site, but easy to find.. great place for a stop in Everglades.

Very noisy AC, bad pillows, no space to sit apart for on the bed.

Can’t think of anything that would’ve made this place petter 5/5

This was a great place to stay the rooms were recently renovated and the rooms and bathroom were really nice I had a great time going on a swamp boat tour and seeing alligators and other wildlife while in town highly I highly recommend this hotel
